Your summer super neutral: for Winters

You're a Winter, surely you should be wearing stark clear greys rather than this softer version? Actually, although those clear cool greys work beautifully for you, the softer Nimbus shade can offer a more natural, easy to wear option which offsets those bright bold Winter colours for summer. I also love Nimbus with white for a super clean, minimalist look. Don't order tomato soup for lunch though!

Autumn book 3 look 15

How to feel fabulous all festive season...

Whether it’s the work party, drinks with your favourite neighbours, Christmas Day hosting duties or a relaxed turkey curry on Boxing Day, the rapidly approaching festive season is filled with opportunities to dress up, sparkle and enjoy. But it can also bring nervousness, with the endless need to look and feel your best, often while needing to cook, run errands and cope with all the busy that Christmas has to throw at us!

Your summer super neutral: for Summers

Nimbus needs no introduction here. Summers and grey go together like peaches and cream. Although this is a slightly different, brighter shade than your usual blue-greys, it still pairs beautifully with your palette.

Your summer super neutral: for Autumns

Of all the seasons, Nimbus can feel the trickiest for you, but actually its subtle warmth and natural feel (rather than the stark cold greys that belong exclusively to cool seasons) work beautifully with a range of your colours. I particularly like it paired with the softer end of the Autumn palette, adding Coral, Mellow Rose or Soft Teal to this delicate shade for an unexpectedly pretty Autumn look.

How to wear Teal for Winters

Of all the seasons, your range of teals is perhaps the narrowest. Only the very boldest teals work with your skintone and high contrast palette - none of those subdued soft versions here, thank you very much.

A week in the sun wardrobe for Winters

As a Winter it's easy to end up sticking with your easy to wear neutrals for everyday life, but a hot weather holiday is the perfect opportunity to embrace your brighter colours and really enjoy the bold Winter palette. It might even give you the confidence to wear more of them back at home too.

Green for Winters

Pine green is Winter's deep green. With a very definite blue cast, exactly like (you guessed it) a pine tree. If this colour gets at all softened it falls into being a summer colour, but the right dark pine can be a great deep intense alternative to black for Winters. It works well paired with dark grey or burgundy, but also looks fabulous in contrast with your ice colours and bright white.

A week in the sun wardrobe for Summers

Your Summer palette was absolutely made for effortless breezy holiday dressing. Lightweight soft blues, airy soft white and a touch of raspberry pink for added va va voom; you really can't go wrong with your colours on holiday.

How to wear Teal for Autumns

If you're an Autumn, there's about a 99% chance that you look amazing in teal. If you aren't already wearing it, you need some in your life ASAP. Although it can feel challenging to pair with some of the really traditional leafy Autumn shades like olive green and rust red, start to think a little more off track into warm greys, chestnut brown, creamy tan and biscuits, as well as unexpected accents like chartreuse and scarlet, and you'll be onto a winner.

A week in the sun wardrobe for Springs

As a Spring you might sometimes feel that your palette is just too bright for everyday life, and you may spend a lot of time in your neutrals rather than embracing your brights. If you find yourself doing this, then your holiday is the perfect opportunity to embrace your brightest colours and really enjoy them - it might even give you the confidence to wear some more of them once you get home too.

A week in the sun wardrobe for Autumns

You might feel that your Autumn palette lends itself more to sensible country dressing than hot weather holidays, but holiday gives you the perfect opportunity to embrace some of the more vibrant shades in your palette for a truly tropical holiday wardrobe.

Back to basics - neutrals for Springs

You're a Spring: You look amazing in bright colours, you sparkle in sunshine yellow and poppy red, you turn heads in vibrant azure. But sometimes, it's nice to know what the slightly quieter alternatives are, isn't it? The colours which will make your skin glow in the same way as those bold brights, but without all the, erm, colour.

When Melissa met the winners

If you’ve seen the new Zine which has been going out with orders recently, you will have spotted four very vibrant ladies from our Facebook Colour Club on the cover – Meryl, Clare, Latha and Marieke, who were the winners of our competition to spend a day at Kettlewell HQ and model our SS22 collection. Already fantastically well-informed about our brand (like many of our Colour Club members they seem to know us better than we know ourselves!), they were still excited to find out more, from meeting the team to picking and packing the turquoise parcels of joy down in the warehouse. And then, of course, there was the sneak peak of the new collection before stepping in front of the camera for a very special photo shoot – our first ever with ‘real women’ and definitely not our last. We think our Colour Club ladies look fabulous in our new styles in their seasonal palettes; read on to find out a little more about them…

Your colour masterclass

You might just have noticed that we quite like colour here. Actually, we're pretty obsessed with it in every last glorious hue; delicate to strong, cool to warm, light to dark, muted to bold and any other colour-related scale of reference you can come up with.

How to wear Teal for Summers

Most Summers don't immediately leap upon teal when they first get a colour analysis. They are too busy being thrilled with the endless range of blues, pinks and greys that comprise a large proportion of their palette. But over time, some of the less immediately obvious Summer colours start to get some attention; primrose, burgundy and, yup, teal.
