A week in the sun wardrobe for Winters
As a Winter it's easy to end up sticking with your easy to wear neutrals for everyday life, but a hot weather holiday is the perfect opportunity to embrace your brighter colours and really enjoy the bold Winter palette. It might even give you the confidence to wear more of them back at home too.
When you are planning your holiday wardrobe, the key is to start with two neutrals (crisp white is a classic here) and a handful of your favourite brights - this is the time to finally brave the chinese blue, light emerald and neon pink that you've been wanting an excuse to wear since discovering your palette. Or experiment with some of the less obvious winter shades like acid yellow or iced aqua, which can add a whole new dimension and look to your palette.
When it comes to deciding which pieces to actually pack, you can't beat the 5-4-3-2-1 rule...
electric lime gigi top, chalk white eveline blouse, pink peacock everyday cotton v, nimbus pippa top, navy soft square vest
Choose five tops to start off your holiday wardrobe. Holiday is the perfect opportunity to embrace you ultra bright brights, so make sure you include a few bold colours alongside the odd neutral. Try to include a lightweight long sleeve top in case of too much sun.
white shorts, cropped jeans, white jeans, navy stripe weekend skirt
Choose four bottoms which match your tops. Neutrals are often easiest here, but alongside denim you might want to stick with your lighter shades such as white and silver grey. Don't be afraid to add a splash of colour too! Red and pink can make for an amazing contrast, or electric blue and hot pink - take inspiration from your tops here.
Three pairs of shoes - flip flops for the beach, some evening-appropriate sandals and a comfy pair of shoes for sightseeing. Another great opportunity to add one of your brights, or stick to your neutrals for effortless elegance.
pink peacock t-shirt dress, navy lola dress
A statement beach cover up and a smarter option that will take you from nice lunch to glamorous cocktails.
hot pink bikini, sapphire one piece
Two swimsuits mean no squeezing into a wet swimsuit when you decide to go for an early morning dip.
turquoise suede shoulder bag
You only need one handbag. Make it comfortable and make sure it fits with the rest of your holiday wardrobe. This isn't the time to add another neutral (step away from the black), but a bold colour can add fun contrast.
fuchsia cashmere gauze stole
A cashmere gauze stole is perfect for covering up against any unexpected air conditioning chill as well as doubling up as a cushion on the flight or as an evening wrap.
ink alexa zip jacket
A simple relaxed biker jacket will go with everything - dress it up for evening with sandals, or dress it down with jeans and flip flops for sight seeing chic.
