I love the fabric in this dress and how it skims the body; it is very flattering. It can be dressed up with heels or worn with trainers for a more casual look. At 5ft 4in though, the length was frumpy and so I had to have it shortened by 11cm!- Annette (09/05/2024)

This is the perfect summer dress, the material is structured enough to skim your body comfortably, it’s a good weight with shoulder straps that cover your bra. I wore the dress on a cruise both dressed up in the evening with heals & accessories, also sightseeing during the day with just trainers, for packing I rolled the dress- no creasing! On returning home I hand washed Romily, she kept her shape beautifully. I’m 5’7” size 12 The length was perfect for me, I did size down to a small to skim my body shape. Loved the fit of this dress. True yo. Size. Very simple styling, but so flattering! Had to chop a good 5 or 6 inches from the hem to suit my 5ft frame, but par for the course. The colour is so vibrant. Hoping to get lots of wear out of this. Will be perfect for layering, which we will probably need in the British summertime.- Tina (22/04/2024)

SIZE: LL COLOUR: Dark Amethyst
This dress is a really useful wardrobe item for dressing up or down and for different times of the year. I bought dark amethyst as it is my very favourite colour. The fabric is very substantial and covers lumps and bumps nicely, I just hope it doesn't "seat" while sitting. It is a generous fit, I sized up to ensure all lumps and bumps are covered but if you have a very straight up and down shape then I would go for your normal size- Carol (16/04/2024)

After buying ‘safe navy’ I had to have another - it’s a great colour. As I travel a lot I’m always looking for versatile pieces - this certainly falls in to the category of ‘useful’ and for me ‘basic’ as actually my CP is romantic and dramatic! I will always wear it under something - a shirt or kimono or jumper etc and bold jewellery. it’s a great fabric, and even with my hourglass figure, I can make it work as it’s thick enough not to show too many ‘curves’! Love this dress..very comfortable…I am an AUS size 16 Apple shape and this still had room to move, not too tight…also ordered the navy in LL and this fits great too. Just depends on how I’m feeling on the day as to whether I wear the XL or the LL. Both the hibiscus and bright navy are gorgeous colours and great for me being a blue spring. A fabulous dress for me, a 5'7" inverted triangle shape who loves her clothes fitted but comfortable. The rib is substantial and stretchy without being clingy. I am 37 x 31 x 38 (bust waist hips) and the M is perfect, not tight. No bra straps show. Looks good with a Roxy jacket or other wrap. Also takes a belt well to add shape and interest. Can be accessorised for dressing up or worn more simply for casual. I foresee many wears this summer. Very pleased!- Helene (20/03/2024)

Love this dress. I ordered it in both XS (hibiscus) and S (bright navy) because I'm generally between sizes with Kettlewell and it really depends on the fit. In this case there wasn't a major difference, just the S gaped a bit across the shoulders at the back, so I kept the XS - and the hibiscus is an amazing colour! It's a perfect dress for me; I thought I'd want to shorten it as knee-length or just below doesn't look great on me generally, but as I'm 5"4 (and a half!) it comes much lower than on the model (nearly mid-calf)and I like the look so will leave it alone! I really love the thick rib and it has plenty of give so isn't restrictive. Note for Kettlewell - PLEASE bring back the fit notes in your description of the product as it helps to choose the correct size when you're in between sizes! For the newer items there is a very flowery description but you've stopped including the all important 'fitted', 'semi-fitted' or 'relaxed-fit' which helped enormously and was usually very accurate. This is the summer dress I have been looking for! The rib has a lovely texture and weight to it that makes the dress fitted but not clingy. My hips are wider that my bust, so I sized up to a medium. The bodice still fits neatly while allowing the dress to fit comfortably on my hips without working its way up very time I move. I'm 5'7" with a long torso, and my best look is to have hemlines hit above my knee, so I'll take a few inches off of the length. Would love additional color options for Autumns please!- Becky (07/03/2024)
