Lovely flowing fabric with a deep elasticated waistband. I am a size 12 and ordered medium and large. Both fitted but I kept the large because i needed the depth and wanted a looser fitting (more skirt like). I also wanted to tuck in a matching coloured top to look imitate a jump suit style. The Racer back tee did the job perfectly for this and also the boat neck half sleeve. Looks great IMO Have also tried with my other Kettlewell tops in different colours, pink ice and cherry, very versatile addition to my wardrobe.- Sally (16/07/2024)

I love these culottes. I have no idea why I held off buying them - maybe because I've previously been told that shorter trousers aren't my best look. But whatever. I saw loads of people wearing culottes on my holidays in France and was insanely jealous that i didn't have a pair , so sent off for the Marine Navy pair in Medium & Large on my return because I'd put a few lbs on, and had read reviews on here and in the Colour Club about them showing your lumps and bumps. I'm 5ft 5, usually a size 12 or 14 on the bottom half, can be a 10 or a 12 on top, I'm on the cusp of a neat hourglass / inverted triangle depending on how much weight I'm carrying. And I'm a vibrant autumn, natural classic romantic dramatic. But natural above all else. I love them. The medium fit perfectly. And yes, you do have to have a careful knicker choice underneath as otherwise a VPL can be an issue, but there are no other lumps and bumps problems for me. I loved them so much I sent off for them in every other autumn colour (the sale had started by this point and they are all reduced) as I quickly realised I'd be wearing them all summer given the bizarre weather we're having. They are just as great for working from home as for office wear and casual. And when all the other colour ways arrived, I surprised myself by loving the eucalyptus colour the most, and I kept the stone one as well as I know it will come in handy. I did try for a jumpsuit look with a matching Pippa, but that looked ridiculous on me, so I've given that idea a miss.- Kirsty (06/07/2024)

Like other ladies I was unsure how these culottes would look on me. However I was encouraged by the review on 02/04/24 by Gillian the 82 year old lady as I am 77, 5ft 1 and not the slim thing I used to be. I ordered a pair in Marine Navy- Large which arrived yesterday. They are quite long but otherwise fit perfectly. The material is soft and swingy. I wasn't sure about these for my shape and age, but the reviews were accurate. They are very comfortable and feel great on, with the material just heavy enough for a flattering drape (well it feels so - haven't asked for a back view yet!). The stone colour goes with everything (my first time buying this colour as a winter!), though of course it tends to show any marks, but it seems to wash well like most Kettlewell items. Good weight of material - no visible bulges and a nice drape. Fit with a size S was neat through waist and hips and comfortable - I'm usually UK size 10 -12 (smaller hips / thighs and less defined waist), height 170cm. Length perfect. Only worn once so far and I was a bit cold but think I will wear a lot when the weather gets warmer and they will be perfect for holidays. Tempted to get the olive as well.- Lynne (30/05/2024)

I wasn't sure whether these culottes were going to fit well - but they do. I am 5'2" and they are like a maxi on me. The soft fabric drapes well and the wide waistband is very comfy. I did however, have to iron them when they arrived as they were very creased but a quick steam has redeemed the situation.- Jenny (24/05/2024)

I love the cut of these, and particularly love that they have no pockets! The previous version did, and they are bulky at the hips especially if you are petite. I think this cut is very flattering, especially when you move. The stone colour isn't very forgiving so I will wear with longer tops, but they are comfy. I find the waistband really tight (maybe it's just me, but my other Kettlewell trousers are fine!) so I have ordered a navy in Medium to see how it fits (I'm petite hourglass 10 to 12)- Rose (17/05/2024)

Not sure how I feel about these culottes. They are very wide so not sure they are particularly flattering. I don’t particularly like the jersey material as although it is comfortable to wear it is clingy and unsuitable for very warm days. I totally love these! After a slow start, not really knowing how to style them, I decided on the same colour in a soft square necked vest in Periwinkle and over that column of colour, I wear the cotton ribbed shirt in Aquarius. I also wear them with the flowery Matilda cowl top, with a cream blazer. I totally love them, so much so that I have now bought them in Pansy. I couldn’t initially decide whether to order Eucalyptus or Stone so stuck with my first option. I wondered if the Stone might not be quite as forgiving ??? The fabric weight and movement is lovely, the fit is smooth and flattering and the colour is gorgeous. Even him indoors is happy. I’m open to buying another colour after seeing how they wear. I love these culottes. They're fun, elegant, very comfortable, and oh so versatile. They're not very thick, so a very lightweight and not bulky top can be tucked in, otherwise it's much better on me being out. Dark olive is a great colour for this leaf autumn.- Susan (04/04/2024)

I bought two pairs of these Danni Culottes at the same time, Marine Navy and this pair in Eucalyptus. I am very pleased with them - they will be my new staple for the spring and summer months, infact they will be worn well into autumn I would think. I like the lack of pockets and any extra bulk around the waist and middle with gives a smoother look and I like the length. They reach about mid-calf on me at 5'4" - 5'3', so a perfect length for me. I also like the fact they are plain rather than patterned which makes them more versatile. Thank you Kettlewell, a very useful addition to me wardrobe.- Lizzie (04/04/2024)

These Danni Culottes are perfect. The length on me at 5'3' is about mid-calf, so ideal, not too short and not too long. I like the lack of pockets and any extra bulk around the waist and middle which gives a smoother look and I like the fabric which is thick enough to hang properly without clinging. My culottes arrived an hour ago and I have spent a delighted time since pairing them with tops and jackets...some Kettlewell but other makes too. I am 82 and not so slim as I was, but these skim the lumps and bumps and look smart but versatile depending on the paired tops The material is soft but not at all clingy...they swish beautifully,possibly because I opted for the large rather than medium as advised by others. I was anxious I might look "muttonish" but they just look and feel comfortable yet stylish on a more mature lady. ...I am 5ft 2ins and the length is mid calf which is also flattering. I cant wait to wear them and show off. I am so pleased I opted for 2 colours in my palette. Thankyou Kettlewell...a real hit.- Gillian (02/04/2024)

Thought I would take a chance on these as they seem to have worked well for other petites as ankle length or full length trousers. Sadly they didn't work for me at 5ft 1ins. By the time I had pulled the waistband down to my low hip to get the length required, the crotch was heading southward part way down my thighs. So disappointed but worth a punt as the stone colour was perfect, the material was the right weight, the swish of the fabric added a bit of pizazz, I could go on saying how lovely they are for but for someone else. Thank you, Kettlewell Colours, for fulfilling my Wishlist Wednesday requests! I loved the Ikat culottes from several years ago, but had hoped for a solid color version…and they have arrived! No annoying pleats, and no bulging pockets…just a sleek and lovely fabric with a nice flow and elegant lines. Less swish than the Claudia culottes, but not as long either. I am 5’3” and 110 lbs, and my usual size Medium fits perfectly. They look great with flats and heeled sandals, but I love wearing them with Doc Marten-style boots as well. I purchased three of my Winter colors: Damson, Pansy and Dark Navy, and also bought the matching Sleeveless Mock Necks to create a streamlined, form-fitting jumpsuit look. These culottes look great with boxier tops too, as well as SRNs and vests (tank tops.) So versatile and season-spanning when worn with tights and boots for chillier weather. These culottes are great. They’re light weight , not bulky. and the navy is a pure strong colour as expected. I am only 1.5 m (5 foot) and I love them since they fall just above the ankle as very wide leg trousers which is exactly what I bought them for . I’m not convinced about them as worn by the models at a shorter length - this is one of the rare items in your collection where being short is an advantage!- Sarah (06/03/2024)

I had my doubts about these as I am short (5’1”) and a bit hippy. But, in a day out in the colour studio (what a lark that was!), Sancha and Heather brought me these and I loved them. I would suggest that if you size sometimes as a small or a sometimes a medium I would go for the medium in this as I think it needs the extra little bit of fabric to swing and drape well. Going to be great for travelling. Looks fab with both the tailored wool waistcoat (smarter) and with the Petra jacket (more casual). Teamed with the Darcy V and lace cami. I really wanted to love these culottes. I tried previous versions but they were too long and didn't work for me. The length of the Danni Culottes is perfect! Unfortunately, the light weight fabric shows even the slightest lump or bump. I purchased a medium and a large would be too big. I think the light, summer weight would work well in a pattern which can help disguise imperfections. So fingers crossed, Danni returns next season in a print!- Meagan (12/01/2024)

I was so excited to see these in the dark olive and was looking forward to adding them them to my collection but sadly am going to return them as they just don’t have the same swish and elegance of the earlier culottes. These are quite a bit shorter and have less fabric in them and I’m afraid that I just don’t love them enough.
