This top is just a genius design!! Wear it two ways to ring the changes. The fabric is gorgeous, and double layered so is very flattering and it drapes beautifully. I ordered this for choice (with the racer back tee) for sports and kept it because it fits so well. The colour Seaspray is not the absolute optimum for me as I like deeper colours, but the fit and the cut, it stays really well on the core even with a lot of movement, are very convincing. It makes a smart top for different occasions and I would love to order more when they hopefully come back in different colours in the future.- Daniela (19/04/2024)

This is my second two way top. I took the first one on holiday to Tenerife earlier this year and wore it so much I knew I need another one. Versatile, comfy, smart. Trying to get the hang of the “new” KW sizing. I used to be M in most tops (size 10-12, 32E bust) now it seems more I’m an S. The S in this is a bit more fitted than S in the soft square neck. It is quite fitted and I can see if you have a bigger chest you might want to size up, but S is just right for me. The dual neckline feature is great, love the double layers, and Rose Petal is divine—more items in this shade please?Compared to my Cyclamen Pippa of last season, it’s a full shade lighter and ever so very slightly warmer/less blue.- Colleen (13/04/2024)

I already have this top in two colours, the chocolate brown and a vibrant orange. They are great for travelling and look really smart under a jacket for work. This is a beautiful top. The fabric is super to wear and the double layered fabric means the top has some substance. The boat neckline is my favourite as I'm short waisted, so a V neck means I don't have much colour on display otherwise. I would love Kettlewell to produce a long sleeve top in this design but with just the boat neckline at the front and back. I think it would be very popular.- WB (05/04/2024)

I really struggle with sleeveless tops but this is a winner! I like the double material giving a smooth line, the choice of neckline - the higher one suits me best, the colour (rust) is very rich and I can think of many uses for this. I can wear this only under something as I don't really do sleeveless but it is a good fit (I'm a 16 but not very busty) and the V sits at a good place. As usual a bit of an investment piece and can only judge on durability after many more wears.- Shirley (29/03/2024)

I think this will be a useful top. The blue colour is more muted than I'd normally wear but will go well with other items including denim shorts. Size XS fits me well as Size 8 - no issues with the armholes. Watermelon might be in my bag soon!!- KATHRYN (27/03/2024)

This is a quality top and as a brown summer I love the mushroom shade which will go with many of my colours. Its comfortable and I like the double layer. However, the arm holes are cut too low and show my underwear. So I'm a bit disappointed it won't be useful on its own. Howeveer I've kept it as a rather expensive base layer for use under blouses or shirts - if we ever get a summer.- Ellie (19/03/2024)

Brilliant top but clingy so don't size down! I read the reviews and ordered S (I'm usually in between XS and S) and was very glad I did. This top is much thinner than a previous double layer sleeveless V that I have, but I prefer it as it sits nicely and is more fluid, and the double layer is brilliant. I love a boatneck so will probably wear it that way mostly, but I love the fact that it can be worn either way. I've since ordered another colour!- Christine (16/03/2024)

These 2-Way Tops are, in my opinion, genius. Rust is a WOW for me so I know I’ll get lots of wear out of this top. I slightly prefer the V at the front, but it’s useful to be able to have a higher neckline under a jacket for example. Highly recommended!- Angela (11/03/2024)

Nice stretchy fabric, not too thin or clingy which is helped by the double layer. I usually wear a size XS but got this in S because the XS was a bit too tight across the stomach and when worn untucked over jeans it looked too 'lumpy'. I'm 5'2" so for me it would be better if it was a little shorter as I like wearing tops untucked - I am considering getting it shortened but of course that adds to the cost and that is why I probably won't buy another one. I wear it with the v at the back and I love the shaping of the boat neckline at the front and the wide straps which provide good coverage.- SR (05/03/2024)

Love this top, I have ended up buying four! I don’t usually get on with this fabric type, but because it’s double it is much more substantial and more comfortable. I like the reversible style and regularly wear it both ways round depending on the layers I put over it. What a super useful top! I ordered these just before Christmas and hardly had time to try them on until I was packing for the first work trip of the year, even before the decorations were down. I'd thought that the flame orange was a bit bright but with cream trousers and a brown jacket, it looked amazing! I was able to switch the neck for day to evening with a more casual cover up. The length is great and being double faced, it's very flattering. A real go-to top, well done Kettlewell! I also bought the chocolate brown which is a gorgeous rich colour.- Kate (19/02/2024)

Sent for this top as I had tried the soft square vest and my bra was very visible around my arms. I have narrow shoulders and back and am bigger in the chest. I have a couple of Sleeveless v-neck double fronts. I do like them, but they do show quite a few lumps and bumps, especially at the back. So I was hoping this would be a great option, I think it will divide opinion. It seems the fabric is different and it shows even more lumps and bumps on me. I don’t think I can size up as the v will be too low and the armholes etc out of proportion. Great shame for me.- Anne (07/02/2024)

I have a few sleeveless V Tops already in my deeper colours which I usually wear with white trousers/crops in the warmer months. I really like this Blue and hope we get some more garments in this shade. I really like all the double layered tops, I find them very comfortable and fit me well. I love Kettlewell products. They've added brilliant colors to my otherwise brown, black and gray attire! A much needed addition. This top is soft and has two layers, I use it for Crossfit but will also use it for everyday wear. That's the thing: it can be sporty or for smart casual wear. I love the sleeveless v tops so thought I would give this one a try. The new fabric is far more clingy than the sleeveless v tops in the cotton blend. I did size up but still clingy. I do however like both sides and the reversible aspect of the top. And the watermelon color is absolutely gorgeous. Even with the double layering I feel I would need to wear a jacket or sweater with this top to mitigate belly and back bulges. It’s a keeper just for the color and the necklines.- Marsha (23/01/2024)

I love efficiency and the ability to use a top in more than one way, so I jumped on this style. And I love it! It is such a versatile piece and a beautiful fabric. I bought it in Mushroom because I wanted a neutral option to get the most use out of it. I always size up when the style is fitted. I am US size 14 and ordered LL. The fabric is very soft and washes well. The sizing is accurate L is good for a 14 so that it's not skin tight. Two points to note if ordering. Firstly the V neck is very plunging, I apparently have an above average long breast bone, but still need a camisole underneath to avoid embarrassment. Secondly the inner layer is not anchored to the outer one and the outer layer rides up. This was solved by a few slip stitches to attach the two layers at the side seams in a couple of places and problem solved.- Vicky (15/01/2024)

This is my new favorite sleeveless top! I love the fitted shape and waist ruching. The option to wear it two ways is ingenious! I will probably wear this top mostly with the higher, modified boat neckline; it is very flattering. The fabric is smooth and looks elegant with a skirt or more casual with jeans. I really like the idea of this top for it's versatility. I like the Karina top and the sleeveless V, so was excited to try this one. Sadly the cut was just not right on the one I received. The V neck was not central and more curved at one side than the other, so the apex of the V did not sit right. The fit across the shoulders was also not right either way round, and the arm holes were too baggy in line with the bust and gaped in an unsightly manner. The fit of the rest of the top through the body was fine and snug, so I would not want to size down. I am usually a size UK 12-14 and take a KW M as I like a fitted look. Not sure if it was an isolated fault on the item I received or whether they are all the same as I only ordered the one colour. The 2 in 1 top makes it very versatile and value for money, but I can't score the style or quality higher than a 3 and 2 stars respectively. Naturally it is going back.- Josey (06/01/2024)
Sadly this top did not suit me. I think it looks great on your models, sleek and modern, but not on me! I I am the wrong shape, I looked untidy and uncomfortable. I ordered two colours to try, Flame and Seaspray. The Flame one was much bigger than the Seaspray making the V neck too low. The Seaspray colour is a liitle too soft for me so both were returned. I would try this top again if it becomes available in one of the creamy light neutrals. In the meantime I'm happy with my sleeveless Vs.- Barbara (18/12/2023)

Just to add to my recent review of this lovely top, now that I've actually worn and washed it, I wanted to point out a few of the benefits: because it's double layered, you can wear it with the bottom layer tucked in for warmth, and the outer layer out for coverage, and you could almost wear it inside out, if say for instance you spilled something on it. You can wear it with either a V neck or a crew neck cardigan, depending which side is at the front. And I did wonder what it would be like made in two colours, one inside the other. You'd need a couple of adjustments - stick on label instead of stitched in, and the under layer would need to be a bit longer, to cover up the stitched edges. What do you think?- Linda (18/12/2023)

So disappointed in the fit. LOVE the colors. I am a US size 12 on top. The description said fitted, so I ordered an LL which should have been very roomy. Not so. It is so snug that I would never take a jacket off. I love the fabric, the 2 layers on both sides, the length...everything about it except the fit. I left sizes 16-18 years ago and I am loathe to order anything identified with those numbers, so I don't know if I will re-order or not. Sadly, these go back.- Ann (15/12/2023)

Genius. I don't usually like to wear V necks but this top works well both ways for me due, I think, to the very broad shoulder straps. Double layers on both sides ensures even the white looks good. I bought the white, and also watermelon and lobelia which are good clear colours. The style has a minimalist and contemporary look when worn alone, I'm sure it will layer nicely too. Beautiful top, I'm size 8-10, 5'2", and it fits me perfectly in XS. The length is just right, and it fits me worn either way. I'll be wearing it as an extra layer straight away, and under a cardi or a shirt in spring and summer. I have just received 2 of these tops. One in Watermelon and the other in Primrose. They will get most of their wear in summer to be honest but I wanted to try them. I bought size large and the double material is very flattering. I found that wearing the v neck at the front was a better fit for me as the arm hoes and neckline sat neatly. The v neck was not too low and I am short waisted so it would be ok for everyone else too. The colours are great especially the Primrose. I am nearest to a Pastel Spring. I would wear these with a cardigan or jacket as I am not that keen on showing my arms.- Linda (08/12/2023)
