I bought this following a conversation with others from House of Colour in a wardrobe refresh, I'd never heard of Kettlewell and now I am officially in love with the brand and styles/colours. A beuatiful top, very flattering design, and love the colour (heliotrope) that is so hard to find. A great buy - I've already bought in other autumn colours Would love to see shorter options in skirts and trousers, even if it meant a longer delivery period for them to be in stock,- Alison (02/05/2024)

I purchased this following my visit on Wednesday to the Kettlewell Colour Studio to partake in my Bespoke Style Day with the amazing Annabel Czyba. It wasn’t a colour I had originally thought about but when I appeared from the changing room Annabel said it was a wow moment so, of course, I bought it amongst other things. The style and fit is very comfortable and the colour is a lovely neutral for me (being a blue spring I struggle with too much neutral).- Alison (20/04/2024)

I love this top! I have it in 2 colours and plan to buy more. The generous drape looks very glamourous on a larger bust whilst the clever modesty panel makes it suitable for more conservative occasions. I'm a Romantic/Classic style type, so I would absolutely wear it both as day wear and evening wear. As a breastfeeding mum, the stretchy fabric makes it suitable for nursing my little one. I love my Alicia Cowl Neck tops - I now have them in rust, mole and moss as well as several older ones in other colours. I find them really useful and comfortable to wear with both skirts and trousers, both for going out and daily wear. They are a beautiful fabric and very flattering to my figure as the fabric of the top layer can be positioned to suit me. The length is perfect for me (I am 5'5" size 14 with small bust and not a lot of waist definition).- Liz (07/04/2024)

I love this Alicia Cowl, its pretty and neat. I wouldn't wear it round the house as its too nice but since I'm always changing my clothes due to owning a border collie and getting her out during the day, its nice to have something nice to wear when the day's walking is done. There has been a similar top like the Alicia before but the older one wasn't as good as this new one. I have bought two! Cosmos Purple and Amethyst.- Sandra (05/04/2024)

I find this fabric a nice improvement over the previous too-thin, too-clingy "Betty" style material (of which I have several colours). I'm best in a feminine, tapered (hourglassy) fit, but unfortunately this 3/4 sleeve Alicia Cowl's top layer is an overabundance in width and length of drapey fabric hanging in countless droopy unflattering pools all down my modestly-proportioned front. (Two of the Bettys also have quite a surfeit of drape, especially in width, limited to the bust through neckline, no ripples cascading all the way down the front to the hem!) Sizing down to XS isn't an option, as the rest of the top is sized right. The Heliotrope is a gorgeous colour for me. Was hoping to replace two non-KW "wrong colour" but otherwise flattering and comfortable 3/4 sleeve cowl drape tops, but the wait continues.- Lisa (04/04/2024)

I bought two of these tops, Kelly green and Red coral, both in large. I love the style of the cowl top with the layer underneath - this works really well and stops any gaping from the cowl neckline. The colour choices are bright and vibrant (spring colours). I would like them to be a bit longer - at 5' 10" a bit more length would work better (but for me that's the case with many tops).- Anne (17/01/2024)

I have bought several of these over the years & love them. However the style has changed in this latest version with a comparatively high , for me anyway , undervest which I don’t like & would prevent me from wearing a necklace with this top ( I only like necklaces on bare skin not on fabric). I hope this is not the only version of your future cowl t shirts otherwise this will be the last one I buy. What a shame to change such a lovely style..- Jill (04/01/2024)

I like the style of this top and the color choices. The material is silky and lightweight. I purchased both the amethyst and navy in M. My issue is with the fit. The description lists the length as 58 cm for a M which equates to 22.8 inches. Length is important to me so I religiously read the measurements. I measured both my tops from center back to hem bottom and they were barely 20 inches long. Same length when I measured from shoulder seam to bottom of hem. I need that extra 2.8 missing inches! I am a petite framed, 5'4"/134 lb short waisted senior with an ample bosom. In the American market, I am between S and M depending on brand. These tops fell just a tad past my waist and barely skimmed the very upper edge of my hip bone. I would describe the look on me as very, very short. Raising my arms would likely reveal more than I care to share with the public at large. I live in the very hottest part of FL/USA so I seldom layer my clothes. That method of camouflage is not an option. For me, these tops are stand alone wear so I am unsure whether I will keep or return. I love the style because it accommodates my bosom without clinging in a revealing way.- Bonnie (02/01/2024)

This is a very nice top but I did return it. I am 5’7” and normally buy M or L. I am size 12/14 with broad shoulders and a smallish bust. I ordered the French navy in size M. The fit was good although there wasn’t so much cowl on me as appeared in the photos. I returned it because it was too short ending just at the top of my hips. It works OK with a skirt but would be too short with trousers. The photo of the model wearing the mole colour is about the same length on me. The colour French navy is lovely, a bit deeper and richer than bright navy but not too dark.- Joanne (19/12/2023)

I ordered this in amethyst and it fits perfectly, hangs beautifully, and I am delighted with it. I have been looking forward to receiving my two tops for weeks now so was very disappointed when they arrived and I tried one on only to find the "modesty" panel was very loose and when I bent down I was showing "next weeks washing"!!!The rest of the top fitted fine so a smaller size would not have been an option.I am quite large on top so what smaller ladies would find when they try on is a puzzle.Sadly both returned straight away.- Rosemary (11/12/2023)
