Ah, this Monaco is a drop of bright happiness on any grey, dull or difficult day! Since it came I haven't wanted to take it off. I do have 6 other Monaco already but this 3 colour one is my favourite and its in my best colours. I love that it has 3 colours instead of 2, it's really soft and also thick and warm on a winter's day its sufficient with a silky roll neck or silky scoop under, not necessarily any wool needed. I sized up due to recent weight gain and like it's slightly looser comfort. So I have an S where I'm usually an XS in the Monaco as it's a relaxed fit. These are my go to tops in winter. So soft and warm and pure cotton. I bought the 2 winter colourways as they are now in sale. Such a bargain. Quality fabrics and yet stylish. If you’re unsure don’t delay you’ll not regret it. I’m between 12 and 14 and sized down to medium.- Caroline (02/02/2024)

I love the Monaco's, it suits my lifestyle and I find them very comfy. This is my 5th Monaco. I love its cosy heavy weight fabric. I am a size 12/14 on top and I find the medium is the right fit for me. I love the Monaco tops as they are slightly heavier than a T-shirt or silky top so perfect for laying on colder days. My previous Monaco admittedly bought a couple of years ago came up slightly longer than the new version which was a little disappointing as I prefer a longer top and I found this top rode up more, perhaps it was slightly boxier than the previous version? I love the Monacos. The weight of the fabric is great and so handy. I'm between a medium and large and buy a medium in this. Great on their own or with a layer under. I was looking for a nice bright sailor top in my colours, and this just fits the bill. It is good and substantial cotton knit and well made. I did wonder whether the yellow would be a bit much for me, but with the navy neck it is offset. As a clear Winter I even like the navy which is bright and clear, rather than toned down as so many are. I think it will get a lot of wear.- Lilian (19/10/2023)

I admit I did wonder if the colour would look a bit dull, but actually it suited me very well, as it should being a Summer. My favorite shirt by far of all of Kettlewell products. The tropical pink and geranium color way is spectacular. It’s so vibrant and a stunning combination. I particularly love the soft thick fabric and it seems to hold its shape better than the first edition of this top. I did size up in this top since I like to wear it more as a tunic top rather than tucked in. Personally, I would not suggest that one size down. I think this top is true to size and one should go up a size if you want a more relaxed fit. It’s cozy and perfect for fall weather. I wore it last weekend paired with my spiced brown merino wrap and jeans, to a late afternoon, outdoor birthday party. It was a perfect combination for the cool temps and breeze coming in off the water. Got many compliments on the colors and, in general, about looking well.- Marsha (07/10/2023)

This is my third Monaco top. I love them! They are slightly heavier than a t-shirt or the Hetta Pima tops and nice and cozy to wear on cooler days. The crisp white and brilliant cobalt blue create a striking too. This particular top seems a bit bigger than my previous Monacos and I will likely wash and dry as it would look better 9n me slightly smaller. I was delighted to see that an old favourite of mine had returned! I love the fit, the colours, the fabric and the splits at the side. For me this is a lovely top that I use from autumn through to spring depending on the weather. What I also want is more colours in the range please. I love this top! I don't usually go for stripes but the design appealed to me. My Monacó feels really lovely to wear. It fits beautifully and the sleeves are nice and long, so no cold forearms! I've worn it on it's own so far, partnered with jeans, leggings or my Vivianne skirt, but I can see myself layering it once it gets colder.- Helen (04/10/2023)

I absolutely love the colours in this garment. They are so joyful to wear especially on a dull autumn day! It’s quite a thick cotton which is very cosy, soft and comfortable which will be great when the weather gets cooler. Size medium feels particularly roomy, so I could’ve gone down to a size small but I’ll stick with it. I’m a size 12. Washes beautifully too.- Pamela (04/10/2023)

Love this top. The colours are really lovely and the fabric is beautifully soft and cosy. Great on its own or with a scarf/infinity and extra cosy teamed with a silky roll neck underneath for winter. I have a grey one with true red stripes from a few years back which I wear with a true red silky roll neck underneath. Beautiful, cosy and warm cotton! Well, I would never have ordered this top if I hadn't seen it 'modelled' on the FB Kettlewell Colour Club by one of the lovely, elegant and inspiring ladies in this group. I didn't think the neon strips were for me but I'm hooked. I'm an 8/10. I went for my normal Kettlewell small here, it's a fairly loose fit but fits well on the shoulders and across the chest. I love the Monaco top. My first of these in the gorgeous duck egg blue and french grey. Lovely quality, cosy fabric and casual style. Wore it untucked, with jeans, to go for lunch with a friend and then a walk along the Quay in the sunshine, earlier in the week. I can't remember who posted (a fellow Summer) that she also loved KW long sleeved tops but didn't know how to style them for Winter warmth. My duck egg cashmere hoody and new duck egg scarf are ready to layer up when the weather gets colder (South Coast, England). So glad the Monaco is back. I bought 2 back in 2020 and the light grey marl and hot pink is one of my favorite tops. I had my colours "done" in 1991 by Carolyn Miller of House of Fraser . What a wonderful experience! I was categorised as a Cool Winter (winter with a touch of summer). When the Monaco appeared again I was excited but immediately drawn to the summer colours of French Grey and Duck Egg. French Grey is also a winter colour and one of mine. I ordered it and am absolutely delighted with it. It suits me perfectly. I do love,and suit, lots of the bright Winter colours like Fuchsia, Hot Pink, Dark Amethyst, Jewel Lobelia, Cobalt Blue Blue Jewel but it is great to have another great option.- Pam (21/09/2023)

My new happy top! 😊 Thank you Kettlewell Colours for the return of the Monaco. I absolutely love it and haven’t stopped smiling all day! Perfect paired with jeans for a bold, bright (really bright) blast of colourful comfort! I ordered an L - pretty much my usual size (14) in KW tops and would say it runs true to size. I ordered the XS in this following recommendations to size down from myù usual size S. I wouldn't say it's a relaxed fit as it is too small, and the sleeves too tight so it doesn't sit well. However I'm hoping for better luck with the S as a replacement. I'd agree with the reviewer who said the sleeves were long, but that works for me as I have long arms. I am a uk size 8 and ordered an XS. I was delighted with the colour and fabric and excited to try it on. Really pretty grey and duck egg combination and a heavyweight jersey. The body width was true to size, but not relaxed. It was very long on me but I am not tall. The sleeves are also very long and far too slim. I don’t usually have a problem with sleeve width but these were uncomfortably tight and caused the top to sit badly round the shoulders so sadly it has gone back.- Alison (06/09/2023)

Think twice about the size you order on this top. I am a size 12 US. I don't like tight fitting tops, so I usually buy the LL when the item is described as fitted or semi-fitted. This top was listed as relaxed fit and to size down if in between sizes, so I bought the L. It is far too snug and fits more like a Medium. If it helps, I measured the bust line from pit to pit and it is 19" or 38" around. The website says 39", which I should have paid more attention to. My recommendation is to buy the size you normally would and do not size down. The fit is not relaxed. As usual, the colors are vibrant but it's also rather pricey for a tee.- Ann (04/09/2023)

I ordered both the small and the extra small to try as it’s a relaxed fit. I usually wear a small in Kettlewell. But they both felt the same size! Arms too tight and yet too long, felt too snug all over. I checked I hadn’t suddenly put on weight! Both went straight back, sadly. Oh, and I wouldn’t call it a marl fabric, it looked plain green to me.- Susan (04/09/2023)
