I’ve lost count of how many of these wraps I have and I hesitated a long time before buying another. I wasn’t sure about the colour either as, although I’m a Winter, I find fuchsia is a bit overpowering for me. However it was reduced in the sale and I decided to try it. I love this softer shade and the style is really useful. It’s great when I need an extra layer for warmth or just when a jacket would be too structured but I want to look smart. It’s a good length for me too as most of the jackets are just too short.. And I’ve found the colour goes with more of my existing tops than I’d expected.- Pat (21/08/2023)

I purchased the violet Shelley Wrap in the sale. I had looked at it before when it was full price. as I was really pleased with another Shelley Wrap I had purchased previously, but didn't actually order the violet colour when it was in stock. When the Shelley Wrap was put in the sale the colour violet was sold out in my size. Thankfully a size small had been returned and I was able to purchase it. I've only worn it a couple of times, but am really happy with the style and the colour. I have been tempted to order another one whilst it is in the sale but because our weather in the UK has been pretty miserable and chilly, I've decided that a thicker wrap may be a better option.- Elaine (06/08/2023)

Love, love, love it!! The fabric is luxuriously soft and it fits perfectly. The weight is perfect for summery sleeveless tops & dresses, giving a touch of warmth without overheating. It is far more versatile than I expected, going quite well with things in my closet that had never occurred to me to pair it with. I have 2 Shelly Wraps already and recently bought 2 more in the sale. I have NO Kettlewell items in Navy or Nightshade as they appeared too dark on the screen, but I decided to order the wraps being in my colours. Well, what a lovely surprise! Neither colour was as dark as it seemed, and I’ve since bought the Sleeveless V-neck in Navy too. I’m keeping my eye out for new items coming in Nightshade too. The Shelley wrap is a flattering light weight cardigan, I'm curvy and it does well in flattering my shape, disguising lumps & bumps! I bought navy as this is my first purchase so it goes with a multitude of things but would definately consider buying other colours. I love the Shelley Wrap and will get lots of use out of it. The fabric is very lightweight so it's more for the summer season. The fabric is nicer (in my opinion) than the fabric of the Soft Cascade Wrap (which I returned), and is long enough to cover my booty so I feel more confident wearing the Ruched Skirt to the office (I'm 5'8"). I have several Shelley Wraps already and absolutely love them to bits, but it is beginning to get a bit too warm to wear them all the time now. So PLEASE please ... for those of us who want something loose-fitting to cover our bottom in Summer when wearing a fitted tee or cotton shirt, but without really adding warmth.... make this without its sleeves (no cap sleeves even). I adore the Shelley wrap. I bought 2 last year and they were so useful in spring and summer. This year I’ve bought a Fuchsia Rose and a Dark Emerald one. They are a perfect style to give some cover to T-shirts when the days are cooler and in Scotland they often are. I size down to a medium as I’m between a 12 and 14. and it fits perfectly. The Shelly Wrap is Me! I really love this piece and have it in many (5) colours and counting. It is just such a useful "third piece" for me. It suits my casual style. I had bought several in LL and have been very happy with them. But now that you have added the XL size- I ordered that- just gives me a little looser fit, a bit more coverage of lumps and bumps, and room to move! LOVE my Indian Teal Shelley Wrap! It has a neat & very flattering fit. Quality material that drapes beautifully, with adorable little side slits (it is not boxy). I wanted a length that covers my bottom, which this does (I am 5"6")! This is a light-weight wrap that can be worn over many of my Kettlewell tops (especially sleeveless). I recently wore it with my KW Soft Square Vest top in bluebell, KW Classic Suede Belt in blue violet & a pair of light blue jeans. WOW, do I love this unique colour combination; & I got lots of compliments on this Kettlewell outfit! The Indian Teal colour is a neutral that goes with many other colours, so it will get a lot of wear. It is the perfect teal/green for this summer girl. I love that you can dress it up or dress it down (very versatile). I also own the Shelley Wrap in violet. I love wearing it as a layering piece. The Shelley wrap is one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe. I use it to brighten up older, more dull outfits. I sling it on over jeans and a tee shirt for an extra layer of warmth and I team it with smarter trousers or a midi skirt to go out in the evening. Whats not to like about this good value wrap. I finally caved in and ordered two of these, and am so glad I did. I normally profess to be "allergic to beige in all its forms" and I ordered Stone! What was I thinking? The other one was in Nightshade, much more normal for me. Anyway, the Stone looks very sophisticated over some of my brighter tops and works well with my (Light Summer) colouring. I re-ordered the Shelley tops in size L as loved the mink and musk rose colours. They fit much better than my usual size LL.I can only wear from June to September as not warm enough in the North of England. Really like this wrap and love the Indian Teal colour. I wear it to work - it's the prefect light layer for my tall/ straight body shape and the fabric is lovely and silky. A lovely cardigan, it hangs beautifully, skimming large hips! I’m 5’ 3’’ and it’s the perfect length to cover my bottom! Someone has said it’s thinner than they expected, which surprised me - It’s a heavier jersey than the old Mid cascade cardigan and I find it’s warm enough to wear in the colder weather over a sleeveless cami. If the weather got really cold I’d wear it with a long sleeved roll neck. Beautiful rose colour - I’m a soft, cool Summer and it’s exactly the same colour as one in my swatch! I've just bought my first shelley wrap. It is thinner than I thought it would be, but it's nicely made and I can use it as it is for lots of other purposes, so I'm keeping it. fabric: on the thin side (translucent when you hold it up to the light), but not so thin that it's going to lose its shape. Soft not stiff, moves nicely. collar: the pictures and the product video make it look like it doesn't have a collar, but when you wear it you can fold over the fabric round the neck and 'create' one, without ruining the line of the garment. cut: nice on the shoulders; sleeves too long for me but I'm happy to pull them up and have a scrunchy area around my elbow; really like the slits on each side as it means no attention is drawn to my hips/thighs. weight: not heavy, not warm. Unless you're very warm bodied, it's definitely not good enough for a final outer layer on a middling autumn day - it will definitely let the wind in. On a cold day, if you're the sort of person who would wear a tshirt, a warm jumper or sweatshirt and a coat, then the shelley wrap is not as warm as a jumper. In temperature terms I'd say it's decorative rather than functional. For me, as a warm-ish person living in the southern half of England, it will brilliant as an outer layer between March and October (with a coat where necessary to keep out the wind), and also good in winter for indoor socialising. length: much much longer on me than on the model in the product video! That's better as far as I'm concerned. I'm 5' 4" and the top of the slit is at the same level as where my hip bone sticks out, with the bottom hem coming to mid-thigh length.- Sarah (22/10/2022)

I am new to Kettlewell and am trying to build my wardrobe in winter colors. I recently purchased the Shelley Wrap in Piine and love it! The quality is superb and the color is beautiful. I have trouble finding clothes with sleeves that are long enough and these are perfect! I am 5'7" and this hits about mid-thigh. Kettlewell, you've done it again! You've improved on what I thought was a PERFECT basic. I have many of the older style Shawl Wraps and don't mind admitting I was a little bit disappointed when they were discontinued because, I thought, nothing could be better. How wrong I was! The new Shelley Wrap is EVEN more fabulous! Equally as swishy and equally easy to dress up or down, but with the added benefits of being a little shorter (helpful when you're only 5' 4''...) and possessing neat little side splits that really help to break up the line of this amazing wrap (again, a great idea, especially for those of us who are a little shorter). The material is a good weight, drapes beautiful and the collar section always sits flatteringly (due no doubt to the special Kettlewell design magic). I bought the Medium as I like the option of wearing a couple of layers underneath once the weather gets colder and also don't like anything too fitted. I am a 10-12 and in KW generally buy either S or M, depending on the style. And I haven't started on the colour yet! Deep Aqua is a shade I have never been able to find anywhere except for Kettlewell and it is so cheering, vibrant and eye-catching that it has already resulted in a total stranger coming up to me in the street and complimenting me! I am a burnished Winter and have purchased a shelley wrap in both Fuschia and Pine. I love them both. They fit perfectly and are very smart and although thin material I have found them warm enough to wear out on a Summer evening. Out of the two, I adore the "pine" best, simply as I never would have thought of wearing this colour at all before: it never appealed to me but as soon as I put it on, it lit my face up and that's what its all about for me. The Shelley is spot on! It drapes beautifully, washes well and has become a bit of an addiction for me. One seems to magically find itself in every shopping order. I'm a slender 5ft 3 lean column with a short and not well defined waistline. The Shelley frames me beautifully with the slight flare at the hipline making me look a little more curvy. Just when I thought I had enough wraps in a variety of colors, the Shelley wrap appears. This wrap is a welcome addition of sophistication to my mostly quirky, natural gamine wardrobe. As a 5ft short, soft column, the length hits me in high thigh area. I bought this wrap in both mallard and deep aqua, both 100% favorable colors for me, as a warm, clear and bright, blue spring. At only 5 ft I struggle to find longer length cardigans which are flattering but this is perfect for my (busty) shape and height. The proportions are quite similar to a soft blazer but it is a little bit swishy so very soft and comfortable. I bought the Heliotrope colour first and it seemed to go with everything. This the second Shelley Wrap I have purchased. I like the style and the nice finish around the neck edge. I am just under 5 foot so the length could be shorter and I cannot wear it with everything. With a midi dress (maxi on me) it can make an outfit look "finished". The colours , Spring in my case, are so lovely and I love Mallard. This is my first Shelley wrap and I do like the simplicity of it. It’s a tad long on my 5 ft body but tends to invite a more formal pairing at this length. I love the finished neckline and edges to the wrap. Most of all I love the color, mallard ! The Violet Shelley Wrap is the first one I’ve bought. Love the colour and softness of it. The fluidity and back drape is lovely, suiting me better than the Cascade more fitted styles. This is the third Shelley wrap I have bought. I live on the north west coast of England and there is always a cool breeze so I live in jeans or trousers and t shirts so there wraps are perfect as an extra layer. I am just over 5ft 3ins and the wraps end below my thigh which is a good length for me. The mink is another new colour for me and as I have white hair. I have heard many comments about the length of this wrap and I find it just perfect for me. I am 5ft 4ins size 16 in tops but find the size L to be just right. The Delphinium colour is beautiful and will go with many of my tops. It is a nice weight for a cooler summer day or evening and can be dressed up or down, although I usually wear it dressed up. The hem splits add movement & pizzazz to this great light weight wrap. The length is great - not too long for this shorter legged person. It is a great alternative to the Short Tie Wrap when I want something longer but with a similar weight. Very glad I 'discovered' this wrap before it was too late! I've put on a bit of weight lately and needed some extra rear-end coverage whilst striving for a streamlined silhouette. Enter Shelley, in perfect colours - I bought two (Dark Amethyst and Cosmo Purple). Though I take a size L in other tops I can get away with a M in the wraps and they don't swamp me. The size is pretty good on me because I am short, and it is not too skimpy. I have a few of these in my wardrobe and love them, they are great over a t-shirt to add that extra warmth and are great for cooler evenings abroad. Ideal as an everyday wrap dressed up or down, they work with jeans and crops but equally with a skirt or over a dress. Really soft and comfortable so can highly recommend. Normally I find I need the medium for my upper arms with Kettlewell tops but the small fitted much better around the body (the medium was rather shapeless on me). I had asked, over a couple of ‘Wishlist Wednesdays’ on the Kettlewell Facebook group, for some lighter, brighter Winter colours in this Wrap as the only lighter one I had was Silver, which Is really useful. So when the latest colours arrived I added Fuchsia and Blue Jewel to my basket - and then Cosmos Purple because I couldn’t resist the colour. Then Mallard appeared on Backorder. As a result I now have all 4 of these, plus my existing ones, and suddenly my wardrobe looks much brighter and there are so many new colour combinations to try! I love the Shelley Wrap because it’s a good shape for me, I like the material and it just ‘lifts’ so many other tops like the Imogen which need a longer over-layer on cooler days.- Pat (14/06/2022)

I feel for me the former Cascade Medium Length is far superior - please bring it back and in lots of colours that would compliment your Lauren trousers. Its more elegant as it is shaped so sits better for a shorter person - I am 5'4" at a stretch. The cascade shorter length I feel does not work well with trousers and the longer length is too long. Think of us middlies. The Shelley wrap was a lovely colour, great fabric but too boxy for me and the edging was too wide to sit properly at the neck and added to its shapelessness around the body. I am a spring and bought this wrap in heliotrope. I was a little unsure of the colour as it shows on computer and iPad as being light so was thrilled to see this is a bright colour and not pale at all. The Shelley wrap was my first Kettlewell purchase. I've been following the FB page and checking out the website often and finally took the plunge. The wrap is gorgeous and the color is perfect. I love the fitted cut of it with the slits and smooth back. However, I should have ordered it in two sizes like I have learned that some of the Kettlewell family does as the medium was too large for me. The shoulder seams hung down a bit on my upper arms and the sleeves were too long. So, alas, it is being returned with great sadness. I wasn’t sure whether to order this wrap but I am so pleased I did. The fit is excellent and the shape to the back is good, with no bagging. I was a bit concerned that in this style the sleeves would be narrow and too tight over long sleeves but they’re just right. I love this wrap as I find that the cascades are just too casual and have too much fuss for some occasions. I much prefer it to the previous shawl wrap, which tended to swamp me at 5ft 3ins. I originally ordered large but it was too big on the shoulders and sleeves so I exchanged for a medium which is just right on the shoulders and now only an inch or two too long. I am size 14 and usually a size L in Kettlewell other than the Imogen and Pippa. The Ganache colour is a very gentle neutral for me so I will find this wrap extremely useful over the coming months. This wrap is so useful and I've got a lot of wear out of it already. The golden spice - a warm gold - is a very good colour for me (I'm an autumn). So pleased too it's shorter than previous wraps I have bought from Kettlewell which, while nice, are very long on me (5' 3) and (as somebody else mentioned) show beneath a jacket if you're wearing it outside. I am very pleased with my Shelley wrap in aqua. The colour is gorgeous I am narrow across the shoulders and sometimes even the small sized tops look big on the shoulders but his is perfect. The logic of this is that if someone is wondering whether to get a small or medium it would be best to go for the slightly larger size compared with the usual. I love everything about this Shelley Wrap. I’m a bright spring and I bought several items in cobalt blue which I think is the best blue I’ve had from Kettlewell. I am a 12/14 and bought two sizes but settled for medium which is a lovely fit. I really like the style of this wrap. It falls well and I like the straight hem rather than the “handkerchief” styles I have bought in the past. I ordered the large as I’m size 12-14 and I wanted to wear a fine cashmere polo neck underneath. The colour is unusual, not the very dark grey I was expecting from the online swatch but a definite blue. Whatever it is I like it anyhow. I’m pretty new to this brand but I do like your clothes. I don’t really do colour other than splashes but more of your styles would be great in neutrals like black, very dark navy and pale creams, beiges etc for smart workwear. I ordered the medium in Cobalt, to wear with my Kettlewell paper bag trousers, purchased earlier. The trousers and wrap are not the same shade, I might wear them together, they could tone, but both individually are extremely nice pieces. I am very pleased with this Shelley wrap. I chose Heliotrope, it's gorgeous and looks good with several things I already have. The fabric has an expensive looking soft sheen and has a weight to it, which means it sits nicely on my top and flows well with movement. Kettlewell Colours describe it as 'relaxed fit'. I would say it's 'semi-fitted' and all the better for it. It's tapered in somewhat at the midriff, very flattering. I'm 5'4" and it just covers my seat. I like the cut which rises up the neck a little and which doesn't quite meet in the middle, creating interest of contrast colours down the centre. I like the side splits too. Only small negative is that the sleeves are 2.5 inches too long. I've tucked them under and they seem to be staying put. In the photos on the website the models are wearing it very casually. To me it's 'classy' rather than 'casual'. I recommend viewing Melissa's video which shows its simple, elegant lines well. For me it's for ladies who lunch or evenings out or work or committee occasions. I'll be wearing nice jewellery or scarves with my Shelley Wrap.- Barbara (27/09/2021)
