I love he Mia sweater! It is a fine soft knit with a lovely drape accentuated by a pretty pleat in the back. I like the neat fit of the sleeves and neckline along with the loser styling at the hips. I tend to overheat in sweaters, but with the Mia, I can enjoy the lightweight feel of the wool. I am between xs - s and I bought two, one of each size. I like the longer length of the small to show off the drape of the fabric, but the sleeve length is better in the xs. Both are fine. This is such a beautiful garment that I kept it, even though I wasn't sure that it suited me at first. The walnut colour is soft and elegant, and I have purchased a Print Infinity Scarf in Kingfisher Diamond, to add a pop of colour near my face. The shape is new to me, as I usually prefer a more fitted look, and I agree with an earlier comment that it works well with slim trousers and skirts. I just received the Mia sweater in gold in med and large that I purchased with the sale. The fabric is too thin, and the front rather plain and blah The med fits nicely in the shoulders and arms but a bit too short for me in the front. The large is the perfect length, more like a flowy tunic style, but too big in the shoulders and arms. Too bad because the back is lovely. Front needs improving. A lower neckline, like a scoop or V-neck, would be more flattering. Unfortunately, going to return.- Laurie (11/01/2024)

LOVE this Mia sweater!! The color is fantastic and I love the detail on the back. I purchased the same sweater a while back in soft sage but the fit wasn’t quite as good, still an LL. I love this top! The color is great, and the large fits me like a tunic - a great length, and very flowy. I recently also purchased this in a medium in bright navy and love it as well. I have 6 Mia’s and love them. They wash beautifully if you are careful. My Malibu acquired a stain I couldn’t remove and eventually I tried too hard a shrank it!! A few months on I ordered another as it is probably my favourite. PLEASE do one in a clear bluey-purple next season.- Kay (09/11/2023)

I wouldn't usually buy this style as I need a more fitted top but really wanted a sweater in this colour! It is beautifully made and I love the little pleat at the back. I wear a thinner top underneath for added warmth. I bought XS to make sure it wasn't too 'floaty' for me and I have to be selective in what I wear with it to made sure it doesn't 'cut' off in the wrong place - so slimmer trousers or skirt work better.- Susie (05/04/2023)

OK. Bit thin for a winter jumper. I’m size 16 but bought LL to give loose fit, thank goodness I did so I can fit layers underneath to keep warm. Jumper with flair!-literally! This is my 3rd Mia (I shrank one by putting it in the wrong wash!) and I love them. Warm, interesting and incredibly wearable. Other jumpers stay in the cupboard because my choice constantly switches to the Mia. Definitely flattering as it skims over bits that I would prefer not to show the world. I have several of these jumpers in a size L and I recently purchased the silver marl which has come up bigger than my previous purchases. I am 5’3’’ and a size 14/16 and I usual wear size L. I have 2 Mia jumpers now in rust and soft sage. I use a wheelchair and for me they are perfect - although you can’t see the nice detail on the back (as I’m sitting down), it’s the perfect length at the back to tuck under my bum sitting in my chair. This was my first purchase from Kettlewell, and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of all the products, but especially the knitwear. As a newly anointed winter, I eased in with this top in silver. Simply beautiful. After reading the reviews, I went with an XS even though I’m more of a SM/M normally, and it still allows for an under-layer and has a nice drape over my muffin top. Not worn only tried on. I hesitated about buying this sweater as I am 5' 4, short waisted but with slightly longer legs and wondered if it might be too long. I suppose looking at it objectively it is, but I don't care I like it. As a Dark/Brown Summer I bought the colour Java. I have missed out on this colour in its previous incarnations. I really like it. I like the style; I tend to wear styles that are semi fitted. It will make the perfect casual, weekend jumper, which is how I will wear it, but I am sure it would look equally good dressed up.- Valerie (05/11/2022)

I bought this fantastic jumper in Java, with the merino infinity scarf in the same colour to give a cowl-neck option. It is incredibly comfortable and versatile and I would buy it in the other summer colours too (eg silver marl/ bright navy) if the matching infinity scarves were also available. This is a perfect sweater for me; I now have two in different colours. I like the tunic style and the pleat at the back gives it a flattering swing. I’m a non specific summer, a mix of styles - natural, classic, bit of gamine - 5’7”, UK size 10/KW small. I was looking for a jumper in a soft bright ish blue which would work for me & was pretty sure this lovely cornflower marl would tick the box. And it did, but sadly the style didn’t suit me in the way I wanted it to. The jumper is a lovely weight, flattering crew neck, not itchy & the sizing (small) was great on the top half. But sadly the jumper was too long for me at the back & doing a half tuck at the front, although looking good, made it seem even more drapey. The slightly flared style gave it a bit too much fabric for my style. This would be a the perfect for someone tall or with a long back who wanted a more tunic style jumper. I have found my “ perfect sweater”! I initially ordered the walnut color, and it was lovely. The color is a wow on me ( warm spring) , and the lighter weight , longer length and generally relaxed style fit my personality completely. I’m a minimalist , size US 12/14 , 5’6” , 190 # and ordered the L . I usually wear LL but sized down in this . It looks fab worn with skinny jeans , boots and a fun necklace and also so cute with a striped Pima tee peaking out at the neck and sleeves and tennis shoes ( trainers) for a more daily wear. Very comfy but stylish and the lighter weight wool is warm but not overly so. I ordered the other spring colors and kept the Malibu and bright navy . The cornflower ( lighter than expected) and silver marl ( honestly looked slightly lilac in my lighting) went back as they didn’t look good with my complexion. This sweater is a great investment piece for me. I would buy it in other spring colors if it is continued. Thank you Kettlewell and PLEASE BRING THIS BACK IN MORE SPRING COLORS! I love the Mia sweater. A lovely shape and covers a multitude of sins! Warm but not too warm. Lovely with a patterned scarf. Looks good with jeans or a short pencil skirt. Love this sweater! I usually wear a size medium in everything but this one I sized down to a small. It is a bit snug in the sleeves but the size small suits my shape better. I wore mine this week under a denim vest and that also adds a bit of slenderizing at the waist as well….but it looks great on its own with straight leg jeans too! For reference, my bra size is 34A and my waist is about 30”. I got the soft sage color which is really a great color for me. I seem to fall in the soft autumn category. Love this lightweight sweater. Bought pale silver grey initially, then the Winter Blue - I think named Bright Navy? (the blue leopard infinity scarf looks fab with it) and will almost certainly get the Winter Red before long. It's exactly the right length and shape for my 5'4" apple body and perfect for my jeans/trouser wearing lifestyle. Sleeves about an inch too long - but think I may have short arms. Wow - what a fabulous colour the Java is! A deep browny purple that suits the richer end of my Autumn season colours. Fabulous jumper that feels wonderful on - a lovely soft merino knit. I ordered a size L and am a good size 14 - I could have sized down to a M and I thinki it would have been fine but I prefer my jumpers a little bit over sized so I can add layers underneath. The lenth is super flattering as it hangs lower at the back, covering my bottom and sits below the top of my thighs at the front. The pleat in the back gives it an unusual and pretty detail. Tried it with a skirt but it's too big scale to work for me - but looks fantastic with jeans and cords. Looking forward to wearing this on repeat throughout Autumn/Winter!- Claire (05/10/2022)

Kept looking at these but decided they would not suit. When I saw the lovely Breton blue shade in the sale thought I'd give it a go. It's suits beautifully. The detail at the back is elegant. Quality yarn. Not a depth of winter jumper without layers but certainly ideal spring/autumn. Good sleeve length. Good with skirts and jeans alike. Wish I'd bought it when more colours were available. This is a really lovely jumper. The fine merino knit makes it feel very luxurious. In fact I only wear it for “best” (though it might be ok for work) as I don’t want it to look old too soon! I’m an Autumn and the oak leaf colour is a wonderful rich colour. I’m size 10 or 12 and found the small size to be roomy enough but smarter than the looser medium (I tried both on for size). I love the pleat in the back and the dip of the back too; a very attractive design. I keep checking the website to see if it’s become available in a different colour in the sale but I think by now it’s a hopeless cause and I’ll just have to wait till next autumn’s collection! I just love the Mia Long Sweater in rust. I am an autumn and it suits me perfectly. I am tall and long bodied and it is just the right length for my torso. Just be careful not to wash it at 40oC as mine shrunk, so I promptly bought another! I was lucky Kettlewell still had it in my size. I have just found Kettlewell and having my season confirmed a while ago as spring was so happy to find them. I purchased the Mia jumper in small rust, and was so pleased on its arrival. I'm delighted with this sweater! :-) I'm a jewel winter, and have purchased both the festival fushcia and cassis. I just love how saturated the colours are. It looks lovely with jeans and a merino infinity in a contrasting colour. I love the material, it's a lovely texture and hangs beautifully. I have had to have the sleeves taken up, but I have to alter most of my clothes as I don't like having to push up sleeves. Love this jumper. And am looking to buy others that will suit a sweet pea summer movie star It’s easy to wear either on its own or with a cami underneath for cooler days. The blossom option is a very pretty pale pink and feminine looks great with the shocking pink and blush Infinity scarf. Hand washes very well. I love it! Lovely strong colour (Deep Kingfisher) and great design. These are warm jumpers without bulk and the wool is soft and not itchy. As a size 10/12, the medium is perfect. My Mia sweater has just arrived.l l love the subtle colour. I already have it in Festival Fuchsia and Deep Kingfisher so knew the fit would be perfect. I am a size 16 and 5’2” with rather too much midriff. Please do this sweater again next year with more colours, especially Ultra Violet.. Perhaps a slightly lower neckline would be good. I love these Mia jumpers and would’ve bought several if there had been more colours. It’s a shame the colour range was so limited as they are a stylish, warm jumper and just the right shape for me. They cover up my lumps and bumps very nicely! Nice soft wool which doesn’t scratch., I’m a size 14 and the L fits perfectly. Very fine knit so I need another layer underneath in this cold weather. Also , it’s a little see through. You need to be careful about washing – I shrunk my first Blossom jumper in the washing machine on a 30° wash. Hand washing only from now on! I want to say how much I like this jumper but I’m afraid the jury is still out. The material is much thinner than I anticipated. I had thought it might be more like the Evie jumper which I love but it is much finer so at this time of year it is not particularly warm. Also because it is thin it doesn’t look great with a layer underneath. I love the colour but I am not sure about the style however I think that is just because of how it looks on me rather than the jumper itself. I will keep it because I think it will be useful in spring and will look ok with jeans. Lovely rust colour, perfect for autumns. But, as it's merino wool, I was hoping this would be something I would wear in the winter. But I doubt it somehow. It is an extremely fine knit, not going to keep me very warm at all! I did wear it the week I got it, with a thermal top underneath, but I was still cold. This Mia Long Sweater is just perfect, long enough for my tall frame, 5’8’. I am 78 and although generally slim have quite a bit of a tummy which this sweater’s flared shape conceals wonderfully! This is the second Mia I have bought, I have one in French Grey too, and I do wish that Kettlewell would have a similar style for summertime wear, flared with long or 3 quarter sleeves, please would you consider this?- Margaret B (04/01/2021)

I am very happy with this sweater. It hits the right notes with me. The rust is perfect for a bold and deep autumn. It skims the body and has an interesting pleat feature on the back. The medium weight knit looks good with a blouse under it or as a bottom layer under a duster. I wish more items skimmed through body like this in does rather than hug. So happy with my French grey Mia in a small. I’m 5’6”, slim size 10. Beautiful, flattering neutral colour for a Summer. I love this Mia long sweater. It's a really lovely red for warm bright people. I particularly like the shape which is friendly to apple shapes, and looks good with the longer length and interesting detail on the back. I'm size 12-14 and ordered the L to begin with as I didn't want it to look tight especially as I knew I would be wearing at least one other layer underneath. I originally ordered the mia jumper in LL but felt it was too large, so reordered in L and it now skims my lumps n bumps without being too loose. The Breton blue is lovely and the jumper weight is nice and light but cosy. I’ve tried with infinity scarves in shocking pink, coral & corn yellow and also with coral vintage collar. It's a perfect size and also a perfect length for me (5'7") - not too long, so although I don't usually wear crew necks I have decided to keep it. I now have everything Kettlewell makes in red coral - I really love this colour. This jumper looks deceptively simple and basic but the fit and colour really set it apart. It's a thin knit that hangs beautifully and despite being wool it is soft against the skin. True to size and not voluminous, just a nice relaxed fit with a swing shape, which balances out my narrow hips without losing my shape. The sleeves are full-length and being tall (I'm 5'10), I appreciate that they are long enough on me to cover my wrists. The chocolate is a lovely rich colour and I find the crewneck is not too high or tight. This is the perfect basic canvas for colourful scarves and accessories. I love it!- Laura (30/11/2020)

I really like this jumper, but sadly it's not for me. Crewnecks don't suit me, but I had hoped the drape of the knit would make up for it. The slight swing shape is flattering on many preople, but I'm not one of them, so this lovely knit is being returned. I'm gradually figuring out which Kettlewell pieces suit me best. I'll be watching out for this same lovely merino in a shape that is more flattering on me, as I think if the shape was right for me, I would have it for years and years. I bought my usual size L in the Blossom colour which is so pretty. The sleeves are a bit long but I have short arms so I just push them up. I am 5ft tall but found that the sweater was a nice length on me. It did not make me feel swamped. I pinched an idea from Jo's blog and put a soft white vest which I already had underneath the sweater and wore with the luxe leggings. My Mia jumper in Festival Fuchsia is absolutely beautiful. It is a perfect fit. I am 5’2” , size 16 with too much midriff! I read the comments minutely and decided Large would be big enough. I am so pleased as it is perfect on the shoulders and just skims the rest of me. The back is lovely.I have two Georgia Swing tops in large which fit well but I had to shorten them by 2 inches but the Mia is just right. This is a really lovely jumper. It is warm without being bulky. It hangs well and doesn't crease. I love the pleat at the back and the fact that the back is longer than the front. Lovely warm sweater, but it's not bulky. I like the pleat detailing on the back. The sleeves of my hetta longline t shirt in amber look great peeping out from underneath. I also bought the print infinity scarf in amber/chocolate which really adds a lift to the jumper. I'm usually a size 12 in tops/jumpers and the medium is spot on. I can't say how much I love this sweater. I have had so many complements on the colour that I may have to but more clothing in Breton Blue. I wear it tucked in at the front and the detail at the back is really nice left out. This is a nice weight sweater, which will be ok for colder weather with a camisole underneath because the bottom of the sweater is quite loose. I purchased this in XS as it’s a loose style and I vary with Kettlewell between XS and S. It’s a lovely jumper and the colour French Grey is very flattering for a Winter, however I returned this for size S which is much better on me. (5’4” and 8st To give you an idea). I also ordered the French Grey Lauren jersey trousers for a compete relaxed look however the two French Greys were so completely different and looked ridiculous together. I just love this jumper. The cut and the style are perfect on me. I am a short tubby Autumn so this works perfectly. I have ordered all the colours, I do realise this is a little over the top but when I find a good winter jumper I am hooked. I wear a great many jumpers and the quality of the Mia is lovely and if (and here's hoping it won't) gets really cold I can easily slip a thermal vest underneath. I have both Chocolate and Cassis trousers as well and the colour of rich colour is so fabulous, just need to add a pop of colour and that is me sorted for the winter.- Joanna (25/09/2020)

I ordered two Mia Long Sweaters, one in Red Coral and the other in Breton Blue. Both are beautiful Spring colors. The styling of the sweater is quite nice. It's more of an A-line tunic. It fits true to size and nicely on the shoulders and bust area, without too much fabric around my hips. I usually take a size L in KW tops except for the Imogen, Hetta LS and Lace Cami in which I downsize to M. I'm 5'1" so the sleeves are a bit long, but I am quite accustomed to rolling the cuff up on shirts in general. The one thing that I am not keen on is the neckline. It's a round neckline that comes up quite high which is why I gave it 4 stars in Style. Also the fabric is much thinner than expected for knitwear so I gave it 4 stars in quality. I'm hard on clothes and I wonder how well these will hold up. I will certainly keep them but decided against purchasing a third in chocolate.- Marsha (15/09/2020)

Lovely jumper, with really nice back detail. I’m a bit disappointed that it’s not long enough to cover crotch/bottom area so won’t be wearing with leggings. I’m 5’5. The body of the Mia is absolutely right for my 5'4" frame. Many "swing" jumpers have too much fabric and rather than flattering actually add bulk. This one sits beautifully and is very flattering. The dipped hem at the back looks very stylish. As a 12-14, it fits perfectly on the shoulders but is a little tight on the arms. I ordered the blossom which is a bit muted for me as a paintbox/blue spring, but can easily be jazzed up with accessories. I so much wanted a grey that have ordered the summer french grey as well in the hope that a blue spring could get away with it.- Ruth (11/09/2020)
