Wow, what can I say. I tried this on at the Kettlewell Colour Studio - didn’t expect it to fit me but it was absolutely beautiful. I purchased it in the bright kingfisher (a stunning colour). It is quite pricey but an investment piece and will certainly make anyone stand out from the usual drab colours of coats/jackets in browns and blacks. I hope to get many years out of wearing this stunning jacket which is beautifully made.- Alison (25/04/2024)

Hudson Jacket - tried a size down having lost 3 stone but neither this or my normal size fitted really well - so disappointed as I really loved the stunning colour and the style (similar to the numerous Rachel jackets I own). Decided that although beautifully made, buttery soft and super quality this jacket just wasn’t for me and I couldn’t justify the high cost for something which was not absolutely right.- Julie Anne (22/04/2024)

I ordered both the kingfisher and toffee Hudson jackets to compare the colours and to try to decide which one to keep. They are both gorgeous and it was a very difficult decision. The quality is second to none, beautifully made with a good weight. The kingfisher colour is a stunning shade, not too bright as I feared it may be. The cut is perfect. I have decided to keep this one as the colour suited me better than the toffee. I have reluctantly sent the toffee one back. Thoroughly recommend these jackets- Julie (13/04/2024)

I didn’t think I could justify the spend on this jacket but took on board the comments of others, such as longevity and investment piece. Husband then offered to buy as 30th anniversary present so thought it was worth trying! Initially I wasn’t 100% sure as the length and amount of “material” from neck to shoulders was a tad generous for my petite frame which I felt spoilt the fit on me. However, by turning the back of the collar I am able to reduce this by about an inch and it doesn’t spoil the look. I love the colour ( I think I’m a paintbox. spring?)and have already worn it a few times. It is very vibrant and yet wearable with my other favourite colours, lime and acid yellow. The weight makes it feel warm but at the same time it easily fit under my top coat for our March anniversary in the rural North East! I wasn’t sure whether to apply protective spray but haven’t so far in case it spoils the colour. I’m trying hard these days not to “keep for best” so hope to get my money’s worth!- Judith (10/04/2024)

For many years I was looking for a suede jacket to replace one I had years ago. This one fits that bill perfectly. Love the colour and style. Size LL fits perfectly across my shoulders and the length is great as well. It goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. This will definitely become a wardrobe hero for me and will be in my wardrobe for many years. Well worth the investment.- Andrea (05/04/2024)

Oh my goodness!!! THE most buttery soft suede and that fabulous suede smell! This is the most luxurious feeling jacket! As soon as I put it on I didn't ever want to take it off! Finally! A lovely jacket from Kettlewell that looks smart and expensive! It is well-made and a beautiful toffee color. The Jewel Iris didn't work for me. I love that it is more substantial with more weight that other Kettlewell items, as I get cold. All around, A+. Wish more of Kellewell's items were like this. Kettlewell gets most of the colors right (too bad most colors are for two seasons--then I have trouble wearing them), but I'm not wild about the fabrication and materials used in most items. I am loving this jacket in toffee and finding myself wearing it with everything. It's much more substantial than the Rachel and the quality is sublime! I sized down to small and am pleased with the fit (normally size M in most things, although size S in the relaxed styles).- Miranda (24/03/2024)
SIZE: X Small COLOUR: Bordeaux Blush
My new favorite jacket. I am an "autumn", but have come to realize that I can look fabulous in some colors listed outside my usual category. I LOVE the color Bordeaux Blush. I look best in deeply saturated colors, and this doesn't disappoint. The jacket is very substantial in weight - which is fine with me. The sleeves are a tad long (I'm a petite XS), but given the zipper in the sleeve, I can live with it (were it not for the zipper, I might have had the sleeves shortened). This is a most beautiful jacket in its concept and the colour I bought is stunning. Sadly it just didn’t work for me. It’s just too short at the back, and doesn’t fit well…….it stuck out like a peplum frill way above my waist. If only the style had been different. Please give us some different styles in this beautifully coloured suede. I’m so sad to be returning it.- Catherine (05/03/2024)

Oh how I wanted to love this jacket, and indeed the colour is divine. The quality of the suede is good and the lining ensures that s the suede gives a little it will still feel comfortable, but the fit isn’t brilliant and sadly I have returned it today. I ordered a medium and was pleased that it fitted across the shoulders, I was able to do it up, though I wouldn’t have worn it like that, but the sleeves were too short, the suede was creased round the waist, the back didn’t sit neatly and overall it just didn’t give me that ‘I love you’ feeling needed to buy this investment piece.- Jo (28/02/2024)

Beautiful color, perfect spring brown. Sadly had to send it back due to strong petroleum odor from the fabric. The sleeves were wide and quite long. The shoulders were roomie and a bit puffy, kind of cute. Nice fit over chest and tummy in LL. I like to accentuate the slimmest part of the wrist, would have preferred it to be slimmer att the lower arms with the zipper available if needed. An open jacket size L could have been a better fit or even a Medium. A bit higher collar would have been a bonus and pockets that you can fit your hands in. I usually wear M in tops and tees and L in sweaters. Over all it was a lovely jacket, I would probably have kept if it had not been for the oder. A Rachel jacket that is washable might be a good alternative. Will have to think on it.- Helena (27/02/2024)

This jacket is the epitome of a classic style with a twist! I’ve always been a massive fan of the moto style and to have them offered in 100% suede and in seasonal specific colours is such a treat. I chose the jewel iris and it is absolutely a show stopper in person. Being a paintbox spring it is a welcome and exciting addition to my wardrobe and I have no doubt I will get my moneys worth. The sizing, for me, was comparable to the Rachel jacket, and I ordered my standard size of a medium. It offers plenty of room to layer and/or zip if desired. I am so delighted with this beautiful suede jacket. It is a lovely quality, beautifully made, lined and fits so well. The suede is buttery soft and the jacket itself has a good weight. The sleeve length is just right for me ( I have long arms) and looks great either fastened up or left open. This will most definitely be my 'go to' jacket to either wear with jeans or a dress. Size Up! I got a medium and a large and the large is too short in the arms. Going to try an XL and hope for the best. I got the toffee color, even though that is the easiest one for me to find in regular stores and it is beautiful. I wish Kettlewell made longer jackets. I realize this is a moto jacket, but it other jackets I don't understand why they are so short.- Sue (24/02/2024)
