I was so delighted to see the Rio return . Such an elegant style , so flattering. Beautiful draping fabric & the slight gathering at the back adds a lovely detail but also allows it hang perfectly. A definite staple in my wardrobe. Stone is a perfect neutral but think I might “ need “ a marine navy . So easy to wear casually but also to dress up when needed. As someone who had an older version I feel this is slightly fuller which is perfect for me & slightly longer sleeves . Length perfect for me @ 5ft 8 . Thanks for listening KW in bringing this back

Wore the Rio yesterday over the icicle two top and trousers to a theatre matinee. I was travelling by train and it was absolutely ideal with the Spring weather. It is quite lightweight but hangs beautifully. Felt smart. It is slightly darker than I was expecting but great as a contrast colour and will be also useful in the Autumn. I am usually a Kettlewell L or LL and this in an L was perfect.

Have been waiting for the Rio wrap to return. Fits great, haven’t noticed much difference to the old version. The colour is spectacular and perfect for this blue spring. I usually wear LL (AUS 16 Apple shape) in most things Kettlewell and this is true to size.

I have conflicted feelings about the new version of the Rio wrap. I really like the updated shoulders and sleeves. I was not a fan of the sleeve ruching. There are two things I do not like. The the slit is is above my hip joint! It looks odd on me, and flapping fabric sticks to whatever is underneath. The second is how short this version is. The old version length was much more flattering and hung better. I may keep this and have the slit closed completely and turn it into a solid wrap. Closing up the slits will solve both issues: it will add visual length and stop the fabric from sticking to the clothing underneath. I do love the Oxford Blue! I also like the other two Spring colors, and if my slit fix works on the one I have, I will consider the others.

Just received the Rio wrap in chestnut which is a beautiful colour but slightly disappointed to discover that it’s a good two inches shorter than my original red one from a few years back which was the perfect length to wear over mid-calf dresses and also no longer has the lovely ruching detail on the sleeves.

The Long Rio Wrap is the epitome of sleek sophistication and versatility. It possesses an ease that allows it to emerge nearly wrinkle-free, making it a perfect travel companion for vacations or business trips. (I'm 5.10 size S). However, there's a slight disappointment in the construction of the back panel. The presence of a gathering rather than a continuous piece of fabric slightly detracts from the overall luxurious feel, imparting a less expensive appearance. The color palette is commendable, though sticking to the predictable can be underwhelming. A venture into more vibrant and lively shades would be a welcome enhancement. Imagine the wrap in an emerald green, a zesty lemon yellow, or a pure, stark white - such options could elevate the wrap to new heights of desirability. :-) In summary, while the Long Rio Wrap strikes an almost perfect balance between elegance and practicality, a few bold strides in design and color selection could transform it from great to absolutely stunning.

Generous fit. I am a (UK) size 10 32DD, and my most regularly purchased size from Kettlewell is small. For the Rio I have sized down to an XS, having recently returned a mid cascade for being too big in my usual size. The Rio in XS fits me edge to edge across the bust, the sleeves are still a good length in the smaller size and the shoulders are perfect. My only negative is the ruching across the back, it hasn’t actually been done very well, just two rows of machine stitching, darts or pin tucks might have looked better. But….that’s purely a personal preference for cleaner lines. Overall the Rio is very elegant and I look forward to wearing it with my Stone LS Faux Wrap & Laurens Just more (vibrant) Winter colours please Kettlewell, oh and Black!
