Being heavily discounted, I thought I would try this top and skirt in Chestnut Leaf as a HOC Leaf Autumn and a Natural Classic in style, and then a softer more Romantic floaty style for the summer. I already have one simlar outfit in light olive and cream, which is great. Sadly the print of this was just far too busy and too big in scale, even at 5ft 8ins and a Size 14. Seems retro floral just doesn't suit me. The colour combinations were just not right either. The warm pink background just did nothing for me in that quantity. So unfortunately has had to go back. But a great bargain and outfit for someone more Romantic and Dramatic, and going to a wedding perhaps! 5 stars all round. By the way S fitted me well rather than usual M, and looked more stream-lined in shape with less excess material. read more »

Golden Spring, 5'6, Classic Ingenue. I loved the Fia skirt in Aqua Leaf from the minute I saw it, however, I had just purchased the Athena in Papaya Bud and the colours were similar so I didn't purchase it. I couldn't resist in the sale though. It is absolutely beautiful! Light and floaty and gorgeous juicy colours! I bought my usual size S. The waistband is fine on me but is not very stretchy so if you are between sizes I would size up. It's a maxi on me, I wear skirts under my tummy button. The material of this skirt is quite delicious! Just feel so lovely and soft. Great colours, great pattern, great everything except for the vicious waistband which is way too tight. I am a size 14 but got a size L and an LL as I hate a tight waist. I have kept the LL in the hope that I can find someone who can do something with the waistband to make it possible to wear without getting a stomach ache - yes it's really that bad. read more »

Beautiful skirt! I am about a 4 in skirts in the US and a M in Kettlewell skirts. I purchased a S in this skirt. It’s a little close when pulling it on, but the right size once on, because it’s pretty full. A Medium would have been voluminous on me. I’m 5 ft tall and this is a full maxi on me but didn’t require hemming. The autumn colorway, Chestnut Leaf, goes with so many of my autumn tops. It looks more orange than brown fyi. It can be dressed up or down. read more »
