Wow, what can I say. I tried this on at the Kettlewell Colour Studio - didn’t expect it to fit me but it was absolutely beautiful. I purchased it in the bright kingfisher (a stunning colour). It is quite pricey but an investment piece and will certainly make anyone stand out from the usual drab colours of coats/jackets in browns and blacks. Hudson Jacket - tried a size down having lost 3 stone but neither this or my normal size fitted really well - so disappointed as I really loved the stunning colour and the style (similar to the numerous Rachel jackets I own). Decided that although beautifully made, buttery soft and super quality this jacket just wasn’t for me and I couldn’t justify the high cost for something which was not absolutely right. read more »

I ordered both the kingfisher and toffee Hudson jackets to compare the colours and to try to decide which one to keep. They are both gorgeous and it was a very difficult decision. The quality is second to none, beautifully made with a good weight. The kingfisher colour is a stunning shade, not too bright as I feared it may be. The cut is perfect. I have decided to keep this one as the colour suited me better than the toffee. I have reluctantly sent the toffee one back. Thoroughly recommend these jackets read more »

I didn’t think I could justify the spend on this jacket but took on board the comments of others, such as longevity and investment piece. Husband then offered to buy as 30th anniversary present so thought it was worth trying! Initially I wasn’t 100% sure as the length and amount of “material” from neck to shoulders was a tad generous for my petite frame which I felt spoilt the fit on me. However, by turning the back of the collar I am able to reduce this by about an inch and it doesn’t spoil the look. I love the colour ( I think I’m a paintbox. spring?)and have already worn it a few times. It is very vibrant and yet wearable with my other favourite colours, lime and acid yellow. The weight makes it feel warm but at the same time it easily fit under my top coat for our March anniversary in the rural North East! I wasn’t sure whether to apply protective spray but haven’t so far in case it spoils the colour. I’m trying hard these days not to “keep for best” so hope to get my money’s worth! read more »

For many years I was looking for a suede jacket to replace one I had years ago. This one fits that bill perfectly. Love the colour and style. Size LL fits perfectly across my shoulders and the length is great as well. It goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. This will definitely become a wardrobe hero for me and will be in my wardrobe for many years. Well worth the investment. read more »
