Here’s our top tips for creating a wardrobe around a print:

1. Choose your print! Opt for a favourite which contains colours you love.

2. Pick a neutral - this might not appear within the print, but will harmonise with it and create an effortless finish to any outfit which includes that print (I’ve opted for Regatta Blue - not strictly a neutral, but this mid tone denim-inspired hue makes the perfect fresh feeling backdrop for this bright and beautiful print).

3. Don’t get hung up on exact matches - while a perfect match for the colour in a print can be very satisfying, it’s not the only way to build outfits. A tonally pleasing or even wildly contrasting option can be even more exciting! (Notice how Clover and Regatta Blue feel like they’re in the same family, even though they aren’t exact matches for any of the Wildflower print).

4. If you’re holiday packing, think about how many outfits you want to be able to create. Obviously not every single one will include your prints, but if you choose the print as your basis, everything should mix and match perfectly!

5. If your print sits on the border of your season, or contains colours that aren’t within your palette, focus on pulling it into place by using some classic colours from your palette - I’ve added Clover and Chalk Violet to add Summer softness to the selection above, as well as Summer colours that appear within the print. If you wanted to soften off this print even further, you could opt for Silver or French Grey instead of Regatta Blue as your neutral.
