Colour Theme of the Month - Brighten up February for Autumns
Mallard Jude Wrap | Cream Lace Camisole | Mustard Yellow Cashmere Gauze Stole | Brown Leopard Print Belt
We understand that basing your outfit around bright colours can be a little intimidating, so we’ve put together our top tips for brightening up February to get you started with this colour theme of the month…
1 Pick your favourite bright colour!
Although it's easy to think of Autumn as neutral and even dull, your palette is full of vibrant brights like Lime and Persimmon.
2 Add a light neutral.
Adding a light neutral to your outfit makes the bright colour feel even fresher and brighter. Keep the colour on your top half for practical February wear.
3 Add a second bright colour.
This is your chance to embrace a little colour blocking! If you want to play things safer, add an analogous colour (think ‘next door’ colour in the rainbow - like orange with yellow, purple with blue) or if you’re feeling bold then go for broke with vibrant contrast!
4. Finish off your outfit!
Whether you go bold with yet another colour, keep it simple with jewellery in your best metallics (gold for Autumns), or add another neutral, making sure your outfit looks finished will make your bold colour choices feel intentional and put together.
Bonus tip: If you need your outfit to feel more formal, try starting with a light and a dark neutral, then adding two or more brights as splashes of colour (a camisole, shoes, bag or jewellery) rather than the core of the outfit.
We hope you’re feeling inspired to go boldly into February, spreading the magic of colour, and the soon-to-be-here vibrancy of spring everywhere you go!
