When colours clash with style for Winters
As a Winter, bold, high contrast and high impact looks come easily to you. From minimalist and sleek high fashion to luxurious romantic styles, anything which allows you to make a statement with your outfit comes easily to you. What can feel a little more challenging is creating a natural, tonal look, or fun, colourful outfits which don't look too crisp and intimidating.
More challenging, but far from impossible. With a little thought, it's perfectly possible to make the Winter palette work with any personal style. The trick is to think creatively with the colours you use - rather than going for Winter's usual 'high contrast, neutrals plus a colour pop' method of colour combining, consider something a little different. Either stick entirely to neutrals, or opt for a more tonal combination. Don't forget Winter's less obvious colours, such as Mole, Pebble Grey, Ice Blue and Bright Teal.

Cosy tonal layering comes into its own as we slowly easy towards more autumnal weather. Opt for textured looks within your palette, like the Holly Wrap's grey marl, and softer shades than black - Navy is an ideal alternative, more relaxed without drifting outside your palette.

While Winters are generally no stranger to contrast, doing it in a way that feels colourful and fun rather than over the top can be harder to achieve. The trick is to layer up no more than a couple of your bolder shades, and add in a dash of a neutral like Black or Navy to anchor your look.
