SIZE: LL COLOUR: Shocking Pink
I absolutely love my shocking pink Imogen top. I have only just discovered my pink side and this colour is absolutely amazing- lights me up! The Imogen is perfect for home working; it can look so smart and efficient but it's really comfy as well. Can accessorise to smarten up or down. Winner!- Tori Allen (05.08.2020)
SIZE: Small COLOUR: Dark Amethyst
I originally purchased the Imogen top in size medium, which swallowed me whole. I will have them taken in because I love the colours I have (Mushroom, Flint). So I went back and purchased this top in Small, which solved all the issues I had with the Medium. I now have the Bright Jade and Dark Amethyst in Small, which I can wear either tucked or untucked.- Carrie (04.08.2020)
My third Imogen top, navy this time. Bought to be a workhorse in my wardrobe and already been worn a good number of times. I particularly like the way it can be worn tucked in, out, or half-tucked with equal ease. I think I can justify one or two more, when stock of suitable colours arrives. SIZE: Large COLOUR: Oxford Blue
I love my third Imogen top - in Oxford Blue- this time. I chose it to wear with light turquoise jeans and as it’s as green as it is blue it compliments them perfectly. I am size 16 and the large size is generous. I love the cool silky feel of the fabric . Although it has long sleeves they readily push up and still feel cool and comfortable on a warm day. Bought the Imogen top after reading a number of positive reviews. Had actually wanted either bright teal, bright jade or hawaii but none available in my size at the time so went with the pastel jade which is actually a pleasant colour. I’d also normally go for a more fitted style but wanted a “relaxed” fit top for easy wear days! It’s in the wardrobe awaiting it’s first outing once the temperatures are more suitable so will have to wait to see what I think/how it wears till later this year.- Sarah (27.07.2020)

This a lovely versatile top which is easy to wear. I like the slightly loose fit though did buy in a smaller size than usual based on other reviews. The grey is a lovely soft colour, not too light or too dark, and will go with a lot of my other summer colours.- Anne (23.07.2020)

This top is decent in itself. But I was a bit disappointed by how bright the colour was. I wish the site had some sort of way to tell us how bright some of the colours are, as the colours represented on my computer screen rarely tells me the whole truth about their chroma. As I don't live in the UK, returning items can be a bit too expensive. So I would love a bit more information about these things.- Kathryn (20.07.2020)

I’m between a size 12 and 14 depending on style and glad I read the comments saying it’s quite large for size, I ordered a small and it fits fine. This is the second Imogen top I’ve bought and probably won’t be the last. Very comfortable to wear and smart enough for work. They do come up a little large. I usually take size 12 in a top but small is big enough in this style. I wish more colours were available.- Gillian (07.07.2020)

Just a further comment to my review- Kettlewell should post online to size down for this top, unless they like big and baggy-- I lucked out on this top as I bought three tops in the same size, and two turned out to be too small. A very useful top for cooler days, doesn't need a cardigan. Good fabric, very versatile. I know I'll get a lot of wear out of this style/weight, so bought two: Salmon and Old Gold which go with things in both my Summer and Winter Capsules. Wow! Love this top. Amazing colour and beautiful soft fabric. I'm a 10/12 and bought a small. Perfect fit. Roomy but not large, just enough movement for it not to be clingy. I don't like relaxed fit clothes but loved the colour of this Imogen so bought a small which fits beautifully. I love the Imogen top so much so that I have purchased a second one In bright jade. These colours are really vibrant and flattering as is the style of the top falling nicely over the hips without clinging. I am normally a size 14 but the equivalent Kettlewell size L was far too big so I changed for a medium. Super colour which really lifts my tired complexion! The medium is baggy, however it swings nicely and is a useful casual garment over leggings etc. If it is cooler then it would look good as a top layer. It washed quite well but needs careful ironing and now has "watermarks". I enjoy wearing it and wanted another but my favourite colours had gone. Despite the fact that the color isn't as vibrant (Old Gold) as I'd hoped from the picture online, the shirt fits like a dream and is very flattering. I am amazed at the quality and fit of these tops-- very few places I know have this! In fact I am returning to another site a $128.00 (USD) top I could not even really afford-- but I did it out of desperation to find a good fitting tee! And it was too tight and clingy in my size! I could size up but the cut is poor. So now I will get the same color in a Kettlewell top and I am sure I won't be disappointed, at less than half the cost! I think no matter what color i get. The Imogen top , size medium, is much too big and baggy. The sleeves are too long. The neck is wide and baggy. The colour , pastel jade, is duller and greener than pictured and not at all flattering. It was a disappointing purchase. I bought the Georgia top previously in size medium and it fitted perfectly which is why I assumed the Imogen top would fit similarly.- Jenny (22.06.2020)

I purchased two Imogen tops, navy and cerise pink. They are lovely versatile tops. You can wear them on their own in the warmer months or as an extra layer in the cooler weather. The fabric has a nice feel to it. It is light weight, very silky and smooth with just enough stretch for comfort. They are tunic in style so can be worn with trousers or leggings. I am very pleased with my new Imogen top, which is a really good fit and length on me (5ft 8” tall and long body). I bought a small after reading the reviews and seeing the garment on different sizes on the Kettlewell Colour Club Facebook site - so helpful. I am size 12. I’m sorry there are no other colours suitable for me available in small just now, as I would definitely have bought others. I like this top - I bought size M even though I'm a size 14, and it fits very nicely. The coverage in the length makes it flattering and very versatile. I initially got Hawaii which is a pretty, soft aqua green and have now ordered Cerise and Breton Blue as well. I love this top. I have one in Hawaii color which I bought in Large. I wear it to yoga classes over sleeveless v tops, and many times as PJ's. The shoulder seams hang over my shoulders and it is very loose. I decided to order down to a Medium this time. It fits perfectly on my size 14P frame. It still hangs and covers imperfections but doesn't drown me. The salmon color is beautiful and goes well with my burnt orange infinity scarf. I now have no less than 6 of these in my winter palate they are wonderful . They are soft silky and have a relaxed fit . Slightly longer than a normal top so great with leggings as well as tucked in to jeans as the material is not too bulky . It is quite thin so lovely for the warmer months or as a layering piece if it’s cooler . I had one from last season but it has been a staple so purchased more from the new range of colours . I over ordered as I was going to select a couple when I had seen the colours but decided to keep them all . This is my fourth Imogen top and I love them. This one is Breton Blue and I already have Navy, Cerise Pink and (I think) Deep Claret. After the first one which I bought in LL as that’s my normal size I downsized to L for the others and that’s perfect for me. I’m still tempted to buy more as they’re great as a casual top but classy enough to wear for something a bit more dressy. I was a little wary purchasing this as Kettlewell's sizing is different. I purchased the size that fits bust 39 to 42 inches. As I am size 42 I thought maybe it would be a bit tight but it's not. It drapes well and is a fantastic colour, would buy again in a different colour.- Sue (15.11.2019)

Lovely garment beautiful deep yet subtle colour goes well with my Spring/Autumn borderline colouring! I had to down size as the cut was generous. This top is made of very stretchy material which tends to show every line underneath. Perhaps in a darker colour this might not matter but in the grey it was unflattering to me and also too big. The fabric however is attractive and it is accurately and well made.- Jennifer (02.11.2019)
I really like the colours of autumn and the quality is good and price is reasonable. However, I find the Imogen tops, which are made of viscose, stretch. I normally buy L but I need an M in Imogen. The sleeves are long and look so stylish pushed up to the elbows and with the nice semi boat neckline, not too low, and a neat but loose shape it ticks all the boxes for me. Really impressed with this top. Silky smooth, soft, and hangs well. Nice thickness too - not heavy but also not too thin. Can be dressed up or down. I’ve worn it with a blazer and heels in the office, and a nice necklace and leggings on a weekend. It’s a shame so many colours are already out of stock as I’d definitely order more. I have 3 of these tops I in Lobelia, Navy & Cherry and find them very versatile. I wear them over skinny jeans and also over leggings for yoga with the longline vest - perfect! I was in two minds about this Imogen top. It did hang nicely and the fabric is lovely and silky but perhaps I should have tried it in small. I'm between size 10 and 12 and the medium did swamp me a bit. Also the colour Mink did not suit my Autumn colouring so I returned it but will still consider this top in a smaller size and different colour. Very disappointed. I have bought several things from Kettlewell and been very happy but this was the exception. I bought the medium but a small would have been big enough, but the major thing was the quality of the fabric - very thin and too stretchy. Such a shame. Had to return.- Sue (24.05.2019)

This was my first purchase from Kettlewell. I bought three tops. I am very pleased with all three. I found the customer reviews, with comments about sizing, very helpful and bought a small Imogen top ( I am size 10 - 12). The fit is loose but exactly what I was wanting. Ordered this as I thought it would be similar to the Lulu Curve which I purchased in 2017. Sadly not a patch on this, I found it quite thin and it was a pretty shapeless fit on me so it went back. The Lulu Curve was great and I would love to see this back.- Sue (24.04.2019)

The top is very flattering - just the right length to wear with jeans and I love the fabric. Have just bought the Imogen top in Hawaii, lovely turquoise, it is a great loose fit, good for over legging or trousers. Already have two other colours. Would recommend this top as it is made in many different colours, you will find one to suit you.- Anne (31.03.2019)

I have had my eye on this for some time but was not thrilled with the colours in the previous selection. This time, however, they are much better for a deep cool like me and I bought the Lobelia in L - a fabulous colour. I normally take LL in Kettlewell but this was a good fit for me in the smaller size. The top is long enough, unlike many Kettlewell tops which I have to avoid as they finish too high up my torso to be flattering. I will wear this with trousers at work and leggings at home. Lovely style and fit but the Summer colour Amethyst was much brighter than on my pc screen, where it seemed a soft shade, and was overwhelming with my colouring so I returned it. I had also ordered the Florence infinity scarf in the same colour; although this too is bright of course, the small pop of colour looks great with navy, black or grey tops.- Rosie (01.10.2018)

I am usually between size 1o and 12, but wanted a loose, slightly tunic-like top to wear with a pair of tight jeggings, so I purchased the Imogen top in Mink. I thought it was a tad pricey, but I must say it was worth the investment. It looks absolutely stunning when on, and really dresses up the ensemble with a scarf and a pair a suede pumps. The colour is perfect for me, as a soft autumn that can wear some of the warmer summer colours. Although I returned this top the only reason for doing so was because the colour wasn't very good on me. The top itself was a nice quality with the light fabric being ideal for the warmer weather. The length was also ideal for me as it was long enough to cover my tummy and bottom which is always a good thing in my book. I should point out that I am only 5' 3" so it may not offer so much cover to taller ladies. I will be looking out for a suitable replacement.- Paula Wetton (14.06.2018)

Bought the Imogen in serenity which is the most beautiful soft colour (I'm a summer). Hope more colours will be introduced next season. I sent for medium and large as I was unsure of sizing on this top (ususllly go for Large on the more fitted tops). Kept the medium which was perfect, I'm a size 14. I'm really loving the looser fitting tops at the moment. Have the Tasha and will get the Imogen in navy if it comes back in stock. Also want to try the swing top.- HWild (22.05.2018)

The colour does truly make me feel serene when I wear it - sounds a bit odd but I really like looking at the colour on my arms and I just love the way to looks on my somewhat pale skin! I’d been dithering about this top since I first saw it but, as a Winter, I wasn’t all that tempted by the colours. However, after reading the previous reviewer’s comment about the navy, I ordered that and am delighted with it. The colour is lovely and the top hangs beautifully.
