Your staycation wardrobe - Minimalist
Minimalists are the ones who have that 'effortless chic' thing going on that the rest of us are so envious of. Their look is generally pared back and tailored, and often somewhat formal. They dislike baggy, scruffy clothes, as well as overly girly or revealing styles. Office wear often comes naturally, but casual clothes can be more of a challenge.
For each style personality, I've challenged myself to create a wardrobe update of only ten items, plus one key accessory. In order to keep a balanced wardrobe, I've stuck to a rule of four tops, two bottoms, two 'top layers' (jackets, wraps etc) and two 'essential extras' (whatever it feels like this style personality needs adding the most!). I've also demonstrated the capsule wardrobe with one season, but each can be translated to any of the four seasonal palettes.
The pieces I've chosen will see you through a staycation summer and beyond, becoming infinitely mix-and-match cornerstones of your wardrobe.
A Winter Minimalist Capsule Wardrobe
Style notes: Make sure you include a neutral (or close-to-neutral), like the Ice Blue and Crystal in this collection, so you don’t end up overwhelmed with colourful options, but don’t be tempted to stick to all plain colours. Minimalists can do colour! A splash of colour in a jacket, or in a top under a wrap, can make the difference between boring and effortlessly chic.
