New year colour resolutions for Summers

Summers, with your elegant, cool toned palette. It's so easy, and tempting, to stick with soft and serene blues, greys and the occasional dusky pink, and never venture out of your (very beautiful) comfort zone. However, experimenting with some of the brighter and more unusual colours in your palette can be such a great way to add interest to your look, get you out of a 'denim and pink' outfit rut and really bring your personality to bear in your outfits.

I haven't gone overboard with colour for you, but I've chosen three of my favourite colours from your palette, all of them said to be mood improving shades, and shown you how to incorporate them into your everyday outfits. And, as always, I'm easing you in gently with a little splash of colour before I ask you to go full on with your final colour resolution.
