Write a reviewI bought this top in two sizes and two colors - hibiscus in medium and rich chocolate in large. Keeping the hibiscus but returning the rich chocolate as (to my eye) it has a burgundy undertone. If it was plain chocolate I would have kept as the large has a nice drape on my medium sized frame.
I have only just 'discovered' these tops thanks to someone on the Kettlewell Colour Cub saying how useful she found them. I ordered the soft yellow and mint colours and they have proved very useful for wearing under the wrap tops. They are comfortable and fit well with no gapping at the armholes. A soft white colour is next on my list when small sizes are back in stock, and possibly some more colours too!!
Such a useful top. I wear mine in summer as the higher neckline protects that delicate upper chest skin, but I still get brown arms! It’s neat and flattering, simple and a gorgeous fresh spring colour. I fit a M but am better in a L, less clingy. I wear my size Ms as a layering piece with colour pop neckline peeping out.
This is number 4, ice pink and already worn under a dress that just needed an extra layer. The lack of sleeves make it perfect for under my many 3/4 sleeve tops and it can just add a pop of colour. My favourite kettlewell at the minute as so versatile. (colour not on the list)
This is my 3rd - now have navy, pink and grey - and I find them so useful under jumpers and tops as an extra layer. I wear a lot of 3/4 sleeve tops so these obviously don't peek out at the end of the sleeves. I am a size 12/14 on top and wear medium but the fact it is all so neat with armholes than don't gape, make this the best of it's kind I have found. Yes a bit expensive but it terms of price per wear, they are worth it
I have 4 of these. I am a size 10/12 hourglass & buy small as I want them for layering. Would prefer it in cotton modal fabric as I find it warmer. Would also like a long sleeved version in the plain colours. I went for shocking pink & scarlet this time , but as a spring I am not sure about the pink. It’s a bit too sugary pink for me but I kept it as an experiment in case I am wrong! The scarlet is lovely.
Seeing Jo wearing the mock turtle on repeat got me thinking it could work for me. Here was a top that gave some neck coverage but was light for summer. An excellent layering piece but also stand alone. As always with kettlewell it is the versatility that really pays off in the price to wear ratio. I have now collected4 and I know they will have year round use. That's what is so good with kettlewell. Hard working clothes for your money. Very flattering as always. Fits true to size.
I have about one dozen of these tops. The higher neckline is perfect for my overly air-conditioned office and looks very professional and elegant!
I like a high neck, so the silky roll necks in winter and the mock tees. are my go to tops as a layering piece. The. mock tee is a beautiful quality and fit, although too clingy for me to wear on its own, I prefer the Pippa for that. They are excellent to in order create a column look. I bought the stone mock tee to go with the stone Laurens.
I recently purchased the Sleeveless Mock Neck in the size Med in Peacock. Love the color and style of this shirt. My only complaint is that the fabric is very thin and revealing of lumps and bumps in the front and bra straps and folds in the back. Would prefer a thicker fabric or front/back double layers. Even better, would love a 95%/ 5% pima cotton/elastine in this one.
