Beautiful cardigan. It is very lightweight, as other reviews have noted, but it will be excellent for summer when you just need a light layer. Although it is a fine knit, the gauge is tight and not loose. This is a sign of good quality, as you're getting more cotton for your money. Hibiscus is a lovely shade what will go with many of my spring tops. (I also bought cream, which is a true warm cream, with no coolness in it.)
The color is lovely, the fabric is too. I haven't washed it yet but if looks and feels like good quality and it comes with an extra button an some extra thread! According to the size chart I would be a size small, however, if I close the buttons it does look a bit tight on the breast area, and the button gaps open slightly, I am not returning because I wear them open most of the time, but I advise to size up.
It is good quality knitting. The neckline is fully fashioned, rather than being cut from knitted fabric. I bought mine last year, before I realized that in UK sizes, I am a small, not an extra small. It works, however. The short length looks great. I wish there were a similar style with full-length sleeves for winter weather.
I have hardly taken my Lois Cardigan off since I received it. Absolutely love it. So much so that I bought the Orange Ochre colourway too. Please keep doing these lovely cardigans Kettlewell!!
The Lois cropped cardigan is a perfect lightweight topper for summer outfits. Not too long and not too short, it is perfectly proportioned for comfortable fit. It does not look shrunken as some “cropped” sweaters do. . I love the colors I was able to purchase as well, as I am in love with muted cools which can be hard to find. Thank you Kettlewell!
Love this cardigan. Lovely lightweight, summer cover-up or spring/autumn jumper if worn buttoned up. Moonstone is a beautiful summer neutral which goes with so many things. Hesitated for a while to buy it as feel it’s rather expensive for a simple cotton cardi but it has filled a gap in my wardrobe so am glad I succumbed in the end.
Perfect fit , lightweight but not flimsy. Would love more if the price was more reasonable !
Beautiful colour. A little thin, but I kept it because of the sensational colour.
VERY lightweight cotton cardigan , probably had it not been a great fit , it would have been returned as too thin to be of any use . As it happens , it has been worn quite a lot as good to cover upper arms over a sleeveless dress when arms could be younger . Bought a small but still a good size to go over a dress or tee shirt , I am a size 10 - 12 . Love the blue as well , looks quite smart . I’m looking out for a similar in a more Winter weight for later/earlier in the season , so hope you oblige Kettlewell .
