Write a reviewHad my eye on this dress for some time. I managed to restist it until this week, mainly because I'm not sue how many opportunities I will have to wear it. However with our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary & OH's 70th both in the next 6 months I couldn't resist any longer. It arrived this morning with the Marianne Fringed Cardigan and I love them both. Beautiful quality, the dress flows as you move, very comfortable to wear and virtually no creases from packing. It comes to life with the addition of silver jewelry and for me I need to wear red lipstick. It is long - at 5ft 8 1/2 it is a maxi on me.
This has turned out to be a real bargain for me at 5ft 8ins. I can see why it hasn't sold as well as it should have done and now being sold off, because it is extremely long - which it does say in the information - and on someone like me who doesn't really wear dresses, it is great to have a frock that is long enough, with long sleeves, elegant, and doesn't show lumps and bumps of my age, and simply hangs beautifully to about three inches above my ankle. For someone short, I would still recommend grabbing this bargain for just over £40 from £115 if you like frocks, and just get it shortened - which is very easy to do if you sew, and very easy to get done professionally. Probably have enough material to make a matching infinity scarf too. One is never able to lengthen. So out of all the stuff that has had to go back with sizing all over the place, this is great buy, and for the autumn in my true Autumn colours.
There is nothing wrong with this dress other than at 5ft 8ins tall, this came up as ankle length. To make it look like the mid-calf length on the 'skinny model', I would have to get at least five inches cut off either M or L. I bought both together, and I cannot fault the style, the Autumn colours, the print, and the fact it is of a weighted fabric that is so forgiving. It wpukd cost £30 in West Yorkshire to get this shortened, and so puts the price up enormously for something only worn occasionally that would not date. If it happens to get reduce again to cover some of the alteration ciost, I would buy it in M. Had it been just two inches too long, I could cope and would have perhaps turned it up myself but not at least 5 inches.
Perfect fit and colours for me. I finally bought this after having looked at it for ages last winter - mainly because I have seen no more of Bec's fabulous print designs this year and wanted to snap this one up. I see that you are promoting plenty of last year's designs, but nothing this summer (except possibly the Isla?) They are so uniquely Kettlewell, and it is such a delight to find all the right seasonal colours in one beautiful print. Please tell me that there will be more in autumn. Sorry to say, Celtic just doesn't begin to fill the gap.
This dress is amazing. It’s very comfortable, however, I wish it was the original length of the blue and the white one we had in the summertime without the sleeves. I really want my dresses to reach my ankles. The problem for me is that if the skirts or dresses are too short, and I don’t have any boots that can bridge the gap then I don’t wear the skirts. So my skirt length needs to be either knee-high or all the way to my ankles. Nothing in between Another issue I had when I posted to the group was at the mercury in this dress color way of the Carmine dress color way is very difficult for a bright winter. The darkness makes me feel a little off. I have to find some pink ice to bring and lift the color up. The Mercury is the one thing that I’m the least thrilled about. It looks like concrete. Anyhow, that does not detract from either the top or the dress. I’m happy with those purchases. And I finally got the belt to wear with the dress. So now I’m waiting to wear the dress to wear the belt!
I was a little sceptical of this dress, but was delighted with the fit, fabric and comfort. It is very flattering, the fabric isn’t clingy. I’m 5ft 9 and the length was perfect. I’m usually a size 16 and the LL was perfect. I matched it with the short cascade wrap in Silver Ice - which looked great together. ’d love this dress ia range of colours.
This is truly beautiful dress, and I actually ordered and returned twice because I really wanted to make it work. It fits really nicely, the boat neckline is lovely and the print is one of my favourite kettlewell ones too. It's really long for a petite person and does look quite dressy because of the length. For me, the amount of pattern was a bit too much to have head to toe and I would absolutely love this as a top and skirt like some of the other kettlewell prints so I could mix and match to break it up a bit. It is more of an investment item and I couldn't really fit it into my current more casual wardrobe to get enough wear to make it worth keeping at the moment but do love it still.
I absolutely love this dress. It fits me perfectly, falls really well and is very comfortable. I wore it to a Christmas lunch yesterday and my friends also loved the dress. Definitely ranks as one of my best buys. 🤗
Excellent fit and quality, very impressed with the cut and seams so the top half was fitted and the skirt draped, flared and swung beautifully. Sent back as too long for my 5'1" height, neckline wider than I like and the colour and size of the pattern just wasn't quite right right for me so I chose the co-ord crossover top and skirt instead
This dress is gorgeous. I’m 5’4” so it’s long but elegant. (Mid shin). As a paintbox Spring it’s got enough wow colour in it to satisfy with the Monaco blue background making it appropriate for the time of year. It was folded into the usual KW bag and came out without a crease, looking forward to wearing it. Well done KW team! 👏🏻👏🏻
