AUTUMN
Your Colours
Your palette is a mix of warm, soft hues and rich, rustic shades. The colours reflect your natural, approachable and down to earth personality. The autumnal palette contains no pure primary colours - examples of Autumn colours are burnt orange, olive green, moss, yellow ochre, tan, paprika and aubergine. Blues do not become autumnal until they have enough green in them to make marine blue or teal. The best neutrals for an Autumn are warm - cream, stone, camel, bronze and chocolate. Autumns have warm skintones with a yellow undertone and suit gold and copper jewellery, set with semi-precious stones such as amber, topaz, garnets and earthy green peridot.

The Autumn Personality
Autumn characters are interested in people and the ‘how and why’ of the world - they have insatiable curiosity. They have a restless energy which must be channelled effectively. They are more at home in a rural environment and could happily live deep in the countryside - as long as they had plenty of visitors! They love philosophical debate, vibrant music and rich oil paintings. Autumns often have fiery personalities and are effective and strong (but can complicate matters by being judgmental and emotional). Autumns make wonderful investigative journalists, psychologists or researchers - anything that involves digging out information. They make tireless campaigners (especially on environmental issues) and their affinity with animals, make them good vets. The downside to the Autumn personality is that they can be seen as bossy or rebellious when all they want is to right a perceived wrong.
Famous Autumns include:
Kate Moss, Delia Smith, Julia Roberts,
Darcey Bussell, Mariella Frostrup,
Gillian Anderson, Elle MacPherson,
Kate Humble and Julie Walters.
The Autumn Home
The Autumn personality likes to feel that their home is solid and substantial. They like textures such as tweed, linen or raw silk and love the natural beauty of brick or stone and stripped wood floors or exposed beams. Autumns enjoy antiques, handmade or tribal objects in a cosy setting. An Autumn home will probably have big comfortable sofas near an open fire - not a classic Adam surround but a red brick or stone fireplace. An Autumn kitchen will probably have solid oak units and there will be lots of copper pans and terracotta or flagstone floors.
