A/W colour combinations for Winters

While autumn warmth doesn't exactly harmonise beautifully with the Winter palette, the deep bold reds of the brightest autumn leaves and the dark pines and icy whites of a winter landscape do fall into this coolest of palettes.

Merino Crossover in carmine red, Lace Camisole in white, Willow Scarf in black

Ice blue / carmine  /black - move into the beginnings of winter with these deeper, more high contrast shades. Icy blue skies contrast with deep reds and black as the soft shades of autumn disappear into the more stark winter hues.

Milan Knit Crew in true blue marl, Silky Roll Neck in black, Florence Infinity Scarf in charcoal

Black / true blue / charcoal - layer up bolder brighter shades as we move into the depths of winter. The bold deep blue of sloe berries contrasts with deepest blacks and greys as the warm autumn colour is leeched from the landscape, leaving only the strongest cool tones behind. Add a silky roll neck for added cosy, but keep the bright with a true blue marl merino sweater.

Cosy Merino Sweater in festival fuchsia, Alpaca Shawl in greek blue, Silky Roll Neck in white

festival fuchsia / greek blue / white  - keep your winter contrast front and centre with bold shades and a dash of white thrown in for maximum colour impact. Remember that winter includes Christmas and don't forget jewel bright party tones!

Mid Cascade Wrap in Navy, Semi Scoop 3/4 in white, Florence Infinity Scarf in emerald

Emerald / navy / white - Winter skies are evocative enough, but add in the amazing vibrancy of the Northern Lights and you've got a winter scene, and colour combination, to be inspired by. Deepest navy and bright white offset and add sophistication to the vibrant jewel green.
