SIZE: Small COLOUR: Electric Blue
I love the Chloe jacket and ordered this one at the same time. It comes up smaller/tighter on the arms than a Chloe jacket, so I am medium in this and small in Chloe (I am size 10, 32FF). I really loved the colour, but didn't love the faux suede and much preferred the Chloe material, so sent it back. However I might have kept it in a medium. SIZE: LL COLOUR: Cosmos Purple
My third Rachel jacket, this time in Cosmos Purple and it's as divine as the other two. Smart and comfortable enough as a jacket/cardigan for working from home, it's great for layering over any of Kettlewell's tees. They work brilliantly over skirts and dresses as well as jeans. I have succumbed to a pink (confetti) jacket! I wasn't going to buy another one of these but I couldn't resist the colour. I find the Rachel jackets a bit tricky size wise as the medium (my normal size) is really quite fitted but having tried on both M and L I have decided that the fitted look is better in these jackets (the same conclusion I came to last time!). What an incredible color! I am an autumn and took the leap because I intuitively felt it was my color as a soft autumn. At a US 18/20, the fit is perfect. I am busty but wonāt likely be zipping closed anyway. The arms and body of the jacket are a perfect fit. I think you should code this for soft autumns also! Well, after more than two years looking, I finally decided to order a Rachel jacket. When I finished dithering over colour choice and went to order Camel, another colour, Grass Green, suddenly appeared in the colour choices. This must have been old stock but I was delighted as it had been the colour that most caught my eye in the past š After even more dithering I ordered both colours āfor choiceā, especially as my two chosen colours were now discounted!š Well, I ended up keeping both (itās my birthday and Christmas this month, after all!) Just couldnāt decide as they are each so versatile and smart. The grass green is vibrant and a ā cheerfulā colour, perfect for my true Spring pallet. I am 5ft 2, size 8 to 10 and the small fits perfectly. Itās a little snug when fastened but I would only wear it open. So pleased!š- Judith (22/12/2023)

I discovered Kettlewell about 2 years ago and have always fancied a Rachel jacket. I was deterred by the price but last month my husband offered to buy me one for my birthday!š My next dilemma was colour (Iām Spring). I dithered for a week or so and tbh an unexpected discount swayed my decision and I ordered camel. Iām so pleased I did! I normally favour brighter shades but this is very versatile and smart. I am 5 ft 2 and size 8 to 10 and the small is a good fit. It is a tad tight for zipping up but I prefer it open. I feel confident wearing it and it has attracted compliments.- Judith (13/12/2023)

Bought to plug a gap ( I have Chloe in damson, sangria, lilac, and Rachel in Blackberry, clover and sea spray, oh and glacier - had nothing blue! Really wanted slate but sold out. Anyway! I havenāt worn yet as I feel a bit too summery even for this summer! Hopefully I will wear in spring although Iām finding Sizing slightly different from previous ones. I do like my Rachel jacket, however Iām a bit concerned about colour transference and not keen on washing it before I wear . When I tried it on it left little blue bits over my tee shirt underneath. Donāt know if this is usual. So far I havenāt worn it because of this, but reluctant to return as I love the style and think Iām out of time anyway. Kettlewellās faux suede jackets have long been my favourite item: long-lasting, washable in the machine, uncrushable in a bag or case when packing, great with skirts, trousers, jeans or dresses. I have quite a collection after many years - both pre-loved and new - and hope the company keeps making them. Love this colour, a great crossover soft shade suitable for soft autumns and summers. Sizing has increased over the years and having once been a perfect M fit I now find myself torn between S and M. Chose M as I can fit a jumper underneath that way.- Ruth (19/11/2023)

Delighted with my Raspberry Rachael Jacket - perfect colour, fit and style. These jackets look fantastic on and do receive many compliments - I have to admit this is not my only one! My only "gripe" is they are, in my mind overpriced for what you actually get. However we are a captive audience as the colour range you offer are brilliant and so far removed from the usual ones by other retailers. Why don't you introduce a loyalty scheme or delivery pass scheme for all your loyal customers? When you add up what we spend in total because on average you goods or on the expensive side (T shorts, tops etc) when compared with other good brands - so these schemes would be a bit of recognition for our continued support.....only a suggestion!!- Katrina (17/11/2023)

Why did I wait years before ordering one of these beautiful jackets. They fit well, soft. to wear and go so well with so many items in my wardrobe. The coastal grey is a lovely soft neutral colour and highlights my fair skin , blue eyes and silver grey hair . It also pairs well with lots of other colours. With so many reviews of the Rachel jacket I am not sure what more I can add except to say this is my second Rachel jacket it is the most supple useful jacket I have ever owned. That they do not crease, are washable and totally lift any outfit. I am so sorry that these jackets are being discontinued although I do understand they do not match Kettlewell's high environmental standards. This jacket fits seamlessly into my deep summer palette, and I find it can be dressed up or worn more casually, so it's an incredibly versatile item. I'm 5'8" with a longish torso and I find the slightly cropped fit on me is great for creating a leg-lengthening illusion. Works with any of my higher waisted jeans or pants, and skirts and dresses. I would almost never spend this much on a light jacket, but I see this as a piece that will last for years and suit many occasions. It's very well designed and tailored.- MD (13/10/2023)

My second Rachel having bought Slate earlier in the year. Greystone is a perfect neutral for a summer and goes with everything in my wardrobe. The faux suede can be easily cleaned by simply popping in the washing machine and the creases drop out when packed in a bag. I had hesitated purchasing the Rachel for over two years based on the cost(Cdn$315) and the fact that I am 5 ft 2 in with very wide shoulders, worrying that the cut would not work for my shape. I am so glad I moved this item off my Wish List and purchased it. It fits beautifully and is as lovely as all the other reviewers have said. It will be used so often that the cost per wear will be minimal by year end. Not my first Rachel - I love them. Theyāre one of my favourite KW designs because theyāre such versatile pieces and so easy care, easy wear. Absolutely perfect for travelling, work and play! I was grateful I had the chance to try this one on at the Colour Studio as the size M was definitely more fitted than either my Alpine Green or Nautical Blue ones. Iām usually a size L in tops so in fairness, itās probably more true to size than the jackets from previous collections. Anyway, Iām delighted with it. Love the contrast of the shiny Silver Zips! I love Kettlewell clothes! Beautiful colors and great styling, good quality. Haven't worn my new yellow Rachel jacket yet (too hot where I live) but am looking forward to wearing it as it cools down a bit. Kettlewell runs small, so be sure and check the size guide for each item, as it can vary between styles. I'm a 10, sometimes an 8, and I often wear a Large. This is a lovely jacket that can be worn year round depending on the weather. The yellow is such a great color for a winter like myself. This looks a lot like suede, but is so much easier to both wear and maintain. Washed well, hung to dry. I received the small and am 5 ft 4 in and 112 lbs. They suit my petite, apple shape, especially if unzipped. The Rich Navy goes with just about everything in my wardrobe. A lovely, chic little jacket in a beautiful cool shade; Lavender Blue. Iām 5ā 3ā, size 10and bought the small which fits perfectly. As others have commented, not the most sustainable fabric but such a useful layer that will easily fit into a suite case without creasing so I know Iāll have it for a long time which makes me feel a bit better. This is my third Rachel, so I really like the style, however I feel the sizing is slightly off, the previous ones were small and a perfect fit, but I've had to get xs this time. I like the colour, but if there is a crossover colour like this, they always seem to have a silver zip, which is not great for warm seasons. It's a lovely material and colour. The sizing is not perfect for me as I'm wider on the bottom than the top, so I've had to get a L so it zips up but a mM would have fitted me better on the shoulders, which would have been better for this style of jacket The pockets are so small that they would have been better without the zips, I think. My 4th Rachel jacket, I am a big fan. I hesitated with this one though as I thought Rich Navy might be too dark for me - Iām a cool summer. I love this colour! The fabric is so comfortable to wear and washes well. Never looks creased, no matter how long itās been folded up inside a handbag. I actually sent this back first time around as I just felt it was too expensive for an unlined polyester jacket, which arguably it is! However after trying hard to get a purple suede suitable alternative elsewhere and not succeeding, I capitulated and bought one again and LOVED wearing it.,...many compliments received too! So much so I have just ordered another one in the deeper purple. I know I will get a lot of wear out if these jackets...still feel a bit cheated on cost though! General comment- Kettlewells quality is very good, quite pricey but you get what you pay for normally. Thankfully they do an XS size although I do smile when they say on the video clips if you like this style fitted size down as this one is relaxed...where do XS people go - why don't you introduce an XSPetite or and XXS when a style is loose??!- Katrina (07/06/2023)

Love, love, love this jacket. I now have 4 (it was 5, but I gave my friend one, who had coveted it for ages - she is delighted!). It works so well as a dress-up or dress-down. My gorgeous purple looks great with the indigo square neck vest and white jeans. Looks fresh & crisp. It also looks good for work with a more sombre black dress. Can't rate this jacket highly enough - soooo soft to the touch, and a modern classic. I'm a 14 but bought a large so that I can wear it over layers, but being a 'clingy' sort of fabric, it never looks too big, if worn over a thin top. Bit pricey but worth it.- Fiona (17/05/2023)

Gorgeous addition to add to my growing selection of Kettlewell jackets. I chose the golden spice to go with a dress in red coral, to wear to a wedding. The colour combination looks stunning and has turned a dress that is perhaps a little too bright for my autumn colouring into something I feel much more confident in. The jacket itself is so soft and light weight. I bought a medium because I'm tall (5'10") and need the length in the arms. A small would have been a better fit but I hate sleeves that are too short. This is my first purchase of a jacket from Kettlewellcolours, I was unsure of the size to order as I wanted it to do up and also accommodate a fine sweater underneath. After reading the reviews decided to size up and purchased a large instead of my usual medium, so the jacket fits perfectly and will accommodate a cardigan or fine sweater under it. As per the size guidance I bought the Medium size which is a good fit for my 10/12 petite frame. It is a pricey piece but from a cost per wear point of view, it really will be worth it. Every time I wear the Rachel, I get so many compliments. Have tried this style twice now in various colours. I like the look of the suede effect, but it is a rather inflexible fabric with very little āgiveā in it. The pockets are virtually useless. Due to the cut of the zip the pockets are extremely shallow and are neither useful for hankie storage let alone putting your hands in them. The overall look from afar is good and quite flattering. But the fit and feel of the jacket, and the impractical pockets, meant this style isnāt for me. I do like the Roxy though. I tried the clover this time, hoping to match it to the Tilly dress. Have learnt that more pastel colours do nothing for me: Iām definitely keener on a stronger deeper colour for a jacket with a wow effect.- Heather (24/04/2023)

Really nice-looking jacket and I love the greystone color. Iāve had this jacket in camel for a while, and absolutely love it, itās so soft and comfortable to wear and really completes an outfit. I wanted another so thought I would try the rich navy (Iām a bright autumn), but sadly it really didnāt suit me, and the fabric had more of a polyester shine to it in this colour. I will be buying it in another colour at some stage though, but it would be wonderful if Kettlewell could do this style in a more natural fabric. Iām a 12/14 U.K. and wear the medium, which is close fitting in the body, which I donāt mind, but fits better on the shoulders than a large did.- Susan (06/04/2023)

I recently purchased the Rachel jacket in bright violet, size M. It is a lovely lightweight layering piece that I plan on wearing over tops and dresses. The arm length is a bit short on me (with my long arms) but over all the fit is good. I'll get a lot of use out of it and plan on buying in another color. This is a nice stylish jacket but I feel itās a little overpriced and not great value for money. It would be nice if it had some type of lining as it drags as you put it on over other fabrics. The faux suede is very good but polyester is not ideal in this world that we live in. I kept it for a few days and tried it on twice but for the above reasons felt I had to return it. It lifts any outfit, smart or casual and is great value given it's going to be worn a lot. This is a lovely jacket - fabric feel very soft, and itās easy to wear. Iām 5ā11 and a size 12ā¦ I bought the L size and itās not that roomy. I would have liked another inch or two on both the sleeves and the length. I bought it in slate - a great colour to go with a lot of tops -BUT - The instructions came with a warning to wash it first, there may be some colour transfer. I hand washed it three times - a great deal of colour came out each time - I machine washed it (as per the instructions) twice - largely because I wanted to wear other Kettlewell tops underneath that were pale in colour - and white too. I emailed Kettlewell to ask if they could reassure me that even after all this washing the colour would not transfer - of course they couldnāt guarantee this 100%. I have worn the jacket with a pale pink top - it seemed OK !- June (14/02/2023)

As a Classic style personality, the Rachel is probably the perfect light jacket for me. I have several of them already but wanted to try the new Greystone colour. Sadly as a Deep Summer, the colour didn't work well on me. But the other colours I have are beautiful. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, what can I say. Itās my second Rachel jacket and Iām already looking at buying another one or two. Itās a gorgeous little jacket and the colours are stunning. It isnāt cheap but it is an item that you will keep for years to come. I had seen the coral red and like so many people dithered because of the price until it was no longer available. Then someone else must have returned it and the moment I saw that it was available again I bought it and Iām very, very pleased that I did. The quality is lovely, like suede but with the advantage of being able to wash it. Another customer queried how well it withstands washing and I can honestly say that it came out exactly as when it went in, only cleaner lol. I washed it separately on a gentle/wool cycle at 30 degrees. I bought the XS and it fits perfectly. Iām a size 6-8, 162cm with small shoulders but not skinny and the length of the sleeves is right for me but I do have short arms.- Monique (15/10/2022)

Bought two of these jackets to try. The colours were beautiful, really deep rich colours which were perfect for me as a deep blue autumn. The material was super soft suede like and looked absolutely lovely. It would work well dressed up or down. Unfortunately both went back as the style of the jacket just didnāt suit me, too short in the body for me. This is such a useful little jacket for casual or smart.Iām 5ā4ā between 10 & 12ā & went for medium..The body has plenty/of room , but Iām quite thick on the upper arm so I find anything much thicker than a very fine knit sweater is out. Rich navy is a lovely colour that suits my wardrobe but I would consider a second in a grey or pewter tone. This is my second refashioned Rachel and I love it. Gorgeous on trend colour. PLEASE could you offer a Winter Red, or Raspberry/ fuschia as the pink raspberry doesnāt suit me. Itās a very versatile jacket and brilliant for travel as I can fold it into a carry on bag and it doesnāt crease. My only regret is delaying buying the second one in Alpine Green. First is in navy . The Coffee color is a Wow for me and this version of Rachel fits me better than the previous yearās version.- Iām a bit busty and this yearās version is a bit more ample for my bust but still looks fitted enough- perfection! I tried the Cate but it was too loose for me snd I thought it too complicated to make it more fitted on me. I am usually a size 16 with a broad back and was amazed that the Large fitted so well, as I was expecting to need XL. I loved the colour and feel of the material which at a glance looks like suede but is so much more comfortable, lightweight, and washable. I felt really contemporary and young and it was perfect for the red/white and BLUE for Jubilee weekend activities. Only quibbles were the tiny front pockets, very obvious bright silver zips where a darker colour would have stood out less and the irritating tendency of the front flaps to not stay folded back. I have more of these jackets than I care to admit - they are a true workhorse in my wardrobe, as they can be dressed up or down. The fabric is luxurious feeling without feeling heavy. These can easily be worn over a sleeveless top as a light jacket, or layered over sweaters (jumpers) for more warmth. I am a size small in Kettlewell tops and bottoms, but go up a size to medium as I have wider shoulders - this lets me layer more underneath as well (the sleeves can be a little snug otherwise). At 5'9", these jackets hit right at the top of my hip, which I find to be the perfect length. And - you can wash them!- Samantha (27/06/2022)

This is my 2nd Rachel jacket. I ordered it in 2 colours and 2 sizes as I wasn't sure which I liked best or needed size-wise as I have lost weight and also heard on the grapevine that the sizing was a little more generous than last year. Fortunately I ended up liking the one that also fitted best so only had to send one back. It is just such a lovely versatile jacket. As an autumn leaf I love the golden green of the moss colour - my alternative choice was sea green but it felt a bit bright for me. The small size fitted me well in the body (last year it was too tight) - a little snug in the sleeves but I'm planning on wearing it for summer evenings rather than winter with sweater. I also tried medium in electric blue but although I prefer medium in tops the easy fit of the large seemed right for me, although I could do up the medium and I think it's a jacket I will usually leave unzipped. I adore these jacketsā¦so much I have amassed a treasured collection over the last 18 months with the sea green, clover, soft blackberry and lavender blue! I find the fit flattering and comfortable - itās a perfect pop of colour over a simple tee, dress or camisole. I have worn to work, on day trips and out to dinner. Really versatile and low maintenance - I love the fact if feels special without the worry of dry cleaning or regularly needing to iron as thereās no creasing. A huge "thanks" to Marsha who is a Blue Spring and reviewed this color. I was on the fence for literally MONTHS trying to decide if I should purchase since due to the distance returns can sometimes be lengthy. And for some reason every time I saw a photo of the color online it always looked different. This is a great color for this Blue Spring - Blue eyes, medium warm blonde hair, neutral skin tone. I also have the Roxie in Nautical Blue and each has its place. Nautical Blue looks great with Shocking Pink and other cooler colors from my palette. The Provence looks fantastic with Lemonade and my bronze medium browns and camels. (I held this up to my Brown Summer husband and the color works on him too) ;) Purchased the medium for the extra sleeve length but if I wanted to wear it with a skirt as a fitted and neat look I would have taken the small or have the medium tailored. I have to admit that last season I ordered a Rachel and sent it back without trying it on as I felt the asking price for an unlined jacket was way too much. I have watched others styling it in Colour Club and loving it so I re-ordered and I am so pleased I did. The softness of the material, the ease of wearing. For me with a short body it fits so well. I prefer jackets to cardigans and the Rachel fits in so well. It is light and can be fitted under a coat in colder weather. I found the size medium a slightly looser fit than some other Kettlewell garments. I bought the Rachel Jacket in Provence as a top layer in my capsule wardrobe of blues, blue greens, camels and grays. It is a very versatile color, and looks great with a lot of my other items. Washed it when it first arrived as the tag said it might bleed. Came through the wash great (air dried it flat). Quality is good, though the fabric is a bit thinner than I expected it to be. I ordered the Rachel jacket in sea green amongst other colours in the summer spectrum, following my 1:1 colour session with Linda Lach-Szyrma. It was a 'treat to self' as there was a gap in my wardrobe for a versatile jacket, suitable for spring/ summer days. The minute I set my eyes on the jacket I was in love with the colour and was so excited to try it on with lots of outfits to determine whether it would go with enough things to make it a worthwhile purchase. I had bought various colours in two batches and the first batch that arrived (Provence and Nautical blue) I had already tried on with my wardrobe and had deduced I was going to keep the Provence colour as it went with everything and was the perfect colour for my summer wardrobe. I wasn't 'in love' with the colour however, so I proceeded to order my second batch of colours (rich navy and sea green) to check if these would sway me either way. I was instantly wowed by the sea green colour, and this was therefore my gut decision choice, versus my head decision of the Provence colour. I have not regretted it and I wore it for the first time at the weekend for my 50th celebration lunch at Denbies Vineyard and I felt really good and confident in the outfit I'd put together with it. Let me first say that I love this jacket! I receive compliments every time I wear it! The medium fit well and the style is great. The biker vibe makes it very iinteresting especially since it's an unexpected colour. It can be worn casually with jeans yet still looks stylish. It's also dressy enough to wear with trousers, a skirt or a dress and packs fabulously well. My only disappointment is the in consistency of sizing and quality. The zipper seam on the first Lavender Blue medium Rachel I received was quite puckered so it wouldn't lay flat when the jacket was unzipped. I returned it and ordered a second. It was much better and the colour really is lovely for a Summer. I recently purchased the new season's Sea Green, also in a size medium. The colour is gorgeous but the sizing is off. It seems too big overall and just didn't fit as well as the last one I purchased. I've decided to return it and try a small in hopes it will fit better. For reference I'm 5'6" 124 lbs and oblong with a waist. I do love the style of the Rachel and definitely recommend it!- Meagan (04/04/2022)

This is my third Rachel jacket and the Red Coral is such a fabulous vibrant colour! I was told the colour looked fabulous on me the first time I wore it! Iām a Golden Spring but donāt normally wear anything as bright as this but itās definitely a favourite! The Rachel is so versatile; keep it casual or dress it up. Itās wearable year through. The fabric is so soft which makes the jacket comfortable and easy to wear. Itās a considered purchase but being a petite 5ā2ā itās styling is perfect for my short body. This is my second Rachel, and it's not my last, as I just put an order in for another! These jackets are pricy, but they are buttery soft and really make you feel special when you wear them. I sometimes catch myself petting my arm... Last year, when I bought my first Rachel, I dithered too long and the Soft Blackberry sold out in my size. So I ordered the Pink Raspberry. I've loved wearing it, and jumped at the chance of buying the same jacket in Soft Blackberry this year when it came back in stock. It works with casual clothes as well as workwear, and I wear them as little jackets for work. I also wear them with jeans. They are very easy to pack and never wrinkle. Bought LL and L for comparison and was surprised (but delighted) L won. I thought this colour would also win but it's a bit too light for me and whereas a dark purple would go with lots of my colours a lighter one is more competitive. No lining means it feels more like a cardigan than a stiff jacket so I'm happy to keep on indoors. Beautiful colour - not quite red , doesnāt look like a Christmas jacket and tones with lots of warm reds. It is different enough from a previous season coral Roxy to be a keeper. This season the faux suede fabric seems a bit softer. These jackets are a considered purchase but very wearable for smart work, instead of a cardigan over dresses and casual. I love this jacket: brilliant shape, colours (I have blackberry, navy and green) all in small. It costs more than I would usually spend on myself, but am already getting lots of wear. Have worn with skirts, jeans and dresses, over jumpers, t-shirts and sometimes over several layers. It's smarter than a cardi, but easier wearing than a suit jacket. I wish that the pockets were just slightly bigger so I could get my keys and facemask in comfortably; I also wish the sleeves were longer, but I do have long arms, so the sleeves may be fine on "normal" people.- NA (29/11/2021)

Weeks of prevarication because of the cost were a waste of valuable wearing time. This is a brilliant, beautiful and immensely useful garment. Err on the lower size eg I am a slightly small 12 and the small was perfect. Itās like having a cardigan with structure because it is so soft. And the constant compliments make me feel happy! Nor do I regret my ābraveā decision to go for colour (seaspray-a little bluer then it looks on screen) rather than neutral. I recently purchased the Rachel jacket in Cranberry after seeing a lady wearing one on the Kettlewell facebook site (a great source of inspiration). I must admit to being a little unsure because I was concerned about the 'faux suede'. I needn't have worried, the fabric is beautiful, soft and the colour is just incredible. It is a good style for a more edgy finish to an outfit but as comfortable as wearing a cardigan or a wrap. I love it, and will definitely purchase more in the future. I so wanted to try the jacket in the Cranberry but the only size available was small. It is a close fit on me (size 10/12) however, I will probably never wear it fastened and with a little bit of stretch it feels fine. Love the Rachel. I am fairly new to KW and was very disappointed with the Chloe jacket (due to sizing issues, which are being addressed - another tick for KW in my opinion as they are listening to feedback). The Rachel is beautifully soft and comfortable- great for an autumn day outside, but equally good indoors. I have 2 colours now and wear 1 or the other nearly every day. I bought this jacket as a present to myself for a "significant" birthday, as it is quite pricey for me just to buy it for the sake of it. I bought a Medium, which is the perfect fit for me - I wear it unzipped and it hangs well and looks good. I've only worn it out once (lifestyle, rather than choice) and have already had many compliments. My one real whinge about it (seeing as it's an expensive item) is the size of the pockets. They truly are pretty useless and I'm not sure what the point of them is. For me, as a Vibrant Warm Autumn, this Coffee Rachel is great for all of my outfits. I have several Rachels from last year when I took my usual size (medium) for a fitted look, but in this year's version I had to size down to a small for the same. The seaspray is a stunning colour - more turquoise blue than soft spruce, but still works beautifully for me as an autumn. One thing I noticed is that the lapel has a hard crease where it is folded back, if that makes sense. Last year's version came fully zipped up, so you could decide how wide you wanted the lapel to sit, which I preferred. I will have to iron out that crease if I can. I absolutely adore the colour, feel and style of this jacket. Violet is one of my wow colours. Iām an hourglass so this suits me better than the Roxy. I did try the Roxy but felt that was too short and boxy for me. The only negative I have about the Rachel, hence one star taken off for style, is the length of the sleeves. It would have been perfect if the sleeves were a little bit longer. I am tall with long arms so I do expect that in clothes although the Roxy sleeves were a better length for me. I already have three of these (!). But just bought in Provence Blue as an 'evening out' colour. Often struggle with what to put on over a shirt for an evening out as I don't feel comfortable in formal jackets. But this a great jacket option and Provence is a good neutral colour because there is a brightness to it - it's very soft, looks very luxurious and I love it. I hope to get some good wear out of this now we are back to going out! I bought the large so that I had the option of wearing heavier weight shirts underneath. My other Rachels are a mixture of M (more fitted) and a large (more casual). I am normally a 12 but have quite broad shoulders. I am almost always an M in Kettlewell. I bought this in Cranberry and it is a lovely deep colour. Sleeves are just about right length so long as I donāt stretch or bend my arms unlike the Chloe which was definitely shorter in the arm. I suspect Kettlewell realised the Rachel is short in the arm as all photos are with sleeves pushed up which is not generally how you wear a jacket. I hesitated for so long on this adorable jacket because of the high price and because I'm not much of a jacket gal. But I finally took the plunge and wow!!!! This is probably my favorite KW purchase ever. I absolutely love it so much. The fit is just about perfect (arms are a tad short on me bc I have long arms). The style is so upbeat and fun - what a great way to add some hip style to your dresses and pretty much anything else in your closet. Paired this with one of my Joanna dresses and it is fab! Then later in the day, paired it with the Pippa top and white jeans. Just love it! I want another one for sure. For sizing reference, I am 135 lbs. normally a Size 4 to 6 USA and the Small is great! This is my second Rachel jacket and I simply love it! Initially when I compared it to the Chloe I didn't like the fit as much (there's no stretch in the Rachel), but it does forms to one's shape a little with wear (I got my usual M, whereas I size down in the Chloe). Once thing I would change is the sleeves (they narrow a bit too much at the end, so harder to push up. Otherwise, there is enough weight to the fabric for it to sit well and the cranberry colour is amazing!! I am a deep autumn and the cranberry is just the right level deep, rich, yet soft. It reads as a warm colour - I am actually surprised that it is coded for winters. I have seen so many autumns shine in this one on the Colour Club. I am utterly bewitched by the radiant Rachel jacket in Pink Raspberry (S). Somewhat unexpectedly it is a perfect fit. I had nothing but compliments during its first wearings, and after years in black this made me feel rejuvenated and vibrant. The colour is the key... I have simply not found such stunningly saturated colours in a lifetime of shopping. This is a well made garment, wonderfully wearable and beautifully co-ordinated, so I eagerly await Arabella in Cassis, which I needed to exchange for an XS. Itās going to be a glorious outfit, taken directly from your very helpful look book. First ever purchase... impressed by prompt dispatch, and a very reasonable transit period to Australia, allowing me to develop a pleasurable sense of anticipation. I bought several experimental items, some of which I needed to return due to sizing issues. The āintelligent returnsā system proved to be just that: efficient, smooth and problem free. and I am now looking forward to the eventual arrival in Australia of my second package. The Rachel jacket is both comfortable and polished--I like it so much, I've now ordered two and will order more as soon as they become available. For work, I treat the Rachel as a blazer. They look phenomenal on Zoom calls--elegant, with a lovely suede texture, and of course the colors are great when you want to look dynamic on camera. For casual wear, I wear the Rachel as a Spring jacket, paired with a faux wrap and an infinity scarf, or on cooler days, a cashmere gauze stole, and I feel like I look put together, yet movie star-ish--the suede look really matches my style. I have recently been trying to re-establish my style and colours. Having had a very clear style in my 20s and 30s I have felt completely lost in my fifties. Kettlewell has given me the opportunity to rethink. I have not yet had my colours analysed but believe I suit soft colours and my warderobe definitely feels more co-ordinated if I stick to that. I have taken a bit of a punt with this jacket choosing it in a camel colour but I think it's neutral enough to get away with it. The style is perfectly elegant but edgy. I had ordered this jacket in a size S, which is what I usually wear in KW tops although Iām a size 8 on top. It didnāt fit me well around my arms and shoulders so I ordered the XS instead and Iām so glad I did - the smaller size transformed the jacket into one that was just fine into one I absolutely love! I found the same with the Chloe jacket. In the XS the zips are too high when done up even though Iām only 5ā2 but I really love the fit and length so Iāll just wear them undone. The Rachel jacket is not cheap, but I bought it nonetheless (after a deep breath!) in the hope that it would be as useful and versatile as it sounded it might be. And I was not disappointed! It's probably had the most wear of all my recent purchases. It's a lovely light faux suede, which means that I can see myself wearing it through the summer without overheating, but also means a bit of give in the fabric compared to the equivalent elsewhere. So it'll do up around my widest part without looking too baggy at the shoulders (I'm pear shaped) AND I can push up the sleeves for a more relaxed look. I also find it's a good, neat fit even though I'm petite sized on my top half. The colour goes with absolutely everything. I ordered the Greystone as I hoped it would go with lots of things in my wardrobe - and I'm happy to say it does. Super soft and comfortable and when I modeled it with jeans to the family it was declared an immediate keeper! I will be wearing it throughout the Summer for anything social where I want to look a bit more 'on trend'! I am tall (5ft 11) and slim, with broad shoulders, so I ordered a size L - it's fairly roomy and casual, but flattering. I hesitated to buy this jacket because of the price. I also wondered if it would be too short for me, being 5 feet 8 inches tall with a long torso. I needn't have worried! It's perfect. The colour will go with almost anything, and the length is fine. Not very thick, so not a jacket for cold days. The fabric feels soft and comfortable. The style is, well, stylish! I love the Rachel so much that I now have three, the latest being in Blackberry which is a beautiful deep purple that goes really well with cassis and olive. I shall get so much wear out of this colour and they make a lovely alternative to a cardigan as well. I was hesitant to buy this at first, because it is in the glacier blue. I thought that for this sprinter a winter that the color might be a little bit too warm. However, it comes in close to the ice blue. Close enough to the ice blue that I kept the jacket. I have several of these jackets. They are very wonderful. I wear a size medium. I am a US 8. This will look great with all my pastel ice colors! If youāve seen me in the Kettlewell color club youāll know that I love ice! I think I am all up on ice and acid colors. Thank you KW. This is my second Rachel, this time in Pink Raspberry. The fabric is super soft and luxurious and seems to be a tad roomier than my Chloe in the same size. However, the faux suede fabric seems suited more for cooler weather than summertime, so I will wear this in early spring, then put away until September. Pink Raspberry is vibrant and looks especially great paired with deeper winter colors such as black, indigo, and navy. Iām a Summer, and already have a Rachel jacket in slate (superb colour!) and now chose glacier for sunny days and warmer weather. I felt lifted and casually elegant as soon as I put it on. Hopefully the light shade wonāt look grubby after a few wears, even if itās washable. Iām a size 10 on top and the S is ok for wearing over light tops with the zip mainly undone. This is a beautiful jacket, although I agree with many reviewers that it comes up smaller than the Chloe. I ordered an XS and S to try (my Chloe is XS) and definitely needed the S. In the end I sent it back because the Grass Green was not a wow for me. I think it's a bit more suited to Autumns than Springs as it wasn't quite as bright as I'd expected. Wow! I love this jacket. I held back for a long time because of the price but finally took the plunge when the new season colours came out and I am so glad I did. The fabric is soft and has a little stretch in it. The fit is great and is comfortable to wear as a jacket or in place of a cardi as it's so soft. The fabric is nice and light. Perfect fit for me, Itās so hard to find this proportion elsewhere. I would not want it any longer as most jackets are too long and cut me in half or swamp my waist, and itās so forgiving of the tummy. I doubt that I would wear this closed but sized up to a L , could have gotten away with medium. (UK 14). The fabric is so soft and great combination of drape and structure. Love these jackets, so comfortable for indoor wear at work or WFH and wearable for most of the year either indoors or out in better weather. Particularly useful that Rachel really doesnāt benefit from any pressing and can be folded up in a travel bag.. They are a considered purchase and, being washable is a plus in the consideration of value per wear. Now have two Rachels and two Chloeās and have fingers crossed for more. Whilst I do love the fabric in the Rachel jacket itās fits is definitely more snug than the Chloe,I wonder why this is? Surely all items should be designed to Kettlewellās sizing chart as regular customers know which sizes they usually purchase? As a 5āft 8ā broad shouldered, big busted size 16 the size LL thankfully just fits but I very much doubt that it would fit any larger ladies which is a shame as it does have a lovely,soft feel. I now have it in Lapis Blue and the Bright Violet ( but I do find this slightly muted for a Spring but I can work with it!) It would also be much better on me if it was at least 4 inches longer as the waist is far too high on me and the jacket is technically too short ( should be at leg break) for my height but I try to elongate the look with a combination of a long vest/camisole under another LL Kettlewell top so that I can make it work. Please could Kettlewell try to design slightly longer tops and jackets to suit those of us taller ladies (like Melissa?!) However, this faux suede fabric is obviously a winner for Kettlewell so letās hope that it can be used in future styles?- Alison (22/03/2021)

Gorgeous colour and material. So soft. I am a size 10 but with a full bust and I pondered whether this jacket suits me. It definately isn't flattering to a full bust if I do the zip up. Left open it looks fine while still fitting nicely at the waist which I need. Although I can wear small in some Kettlewell clothes I needed the medium in this Jacket even left undone. It was a little pricey as it isn't lined, but it had enough redeeming features for me to decide to keep it. It would have been nice to have had the full range of colours of the Chloe Jacket in the Rachel but the Lapis Blue is really lovely. I love the fabric and colour of this jacket. However, I'm 5'10 Dramatic with the shoulder width, arm length, and torso length of Medium but I'm a Small in torso circumference! I've tried both Medium and Small and sadly neither suit me because I literally need elements of both sizes in one garment. I'm very envious of those of you who can wear this beautiful jacket. Very pleased with my chloe jacket! It has the weight of a cardigan but the style of a jacket. The coffee colour is lovely not to dark just a nice milky coffee colour. It will dress up lots of outfits and I cant wait to wear it! Just a note the pockets are tiny, not usable a fashion statement really but I think it would spoil the line and look of the jacket any other way. The Rachel jacket is gorgeous. I was worried that the grass green might be too clear a colour (more Spring than Autumn), but it works beautifully on me as a Deep Autumn. I tried it on with the pine silky scoop top and the combination is stunning. I am 10-12 on the high street (broad shoulders, narrow waist and hips) and tend to buy medium in Kettlewell tops. I sized down to a small in this (similarly as in the Chloe) because I always wear biker jackets open and the shape is more form-fitting this way. However the Rachel is cut smaller - I laid it over the Chloe and the same size small is narrower in the Rachel, the sleeves are shorter, but the main issue is that the armholes are cut much higher, so the sleeves feel very tight and when I move my arm, it pulls in the back. A pity, because it looks so beautifully fitted, but I feel like I can't move, so will have to exchange for a medium. I hope Kettlewell will bring this out in lots of colours and keep it on repeat every season because it is a classic! I'd love a Laguna or Deep Teal/Marine Navy in this!- Laura (16/02/2021)

I already own the Chloe jacket in silver moon and swithered about the Rachel. I ordered the Lapis first and quickly followed with the Cranberry. I find the Rachel snugger in fit especially in the arms but is excellent fit when wearing either dress or fine polo underneath. I found the greystone too brown for my sweetpea Summer colouring but if Kettlewell goes on to produce more colours next year I am sure I shall not be able to resist. This is a beautiful little jacket but somehow it didn't work for me. I'm 163 cm and a size 12, so usually cropped/petite styles work well on me, but this jacket was somehow too small, even in the right size. I couldn't comfortably stretch my arms and when zipped up, I felt that the jacket looked a bit too boxy on me, so I returned it. This is my first Rachel jacket! I have several Chloes and this fits just a tad snugger than they do. I am a US size 2 and the size XS allows me to fit a thin to medium weight sweater underneath. The Blackberry is a rich purple that will coordinate with many different colors in my wardrobe. I would love to see two small tweaks: to add some spandex to the fabric so it will feel less snug and a lining which would make it a little warmer to wear during the winter months. I love the Rachel in grass green but was surprised at how much smaller it was than the Chloe, particularly across the bust and shoulders. (especially as I am notoriously small in these areas!) I very nearly returned it for a S instead of XS but in the end didn't as I thought I might find it too loose round the waistline. The grass green was a bit of a punt for me but I'm so glad I got it. Wow! I love this jacket so much! After already purchasing 2 Chloe jackets (one light navy/one soft white) I didnāt think I could justify another jacket, especially one so similar, but I couldnāt resist ordering one in grey stone and itās just a perfect fit and it goes so well with everything. Iām a size 8 on top and the XS is a great neat fit. Although it is quite warm, itāll work well under another coat for the colder months! Itās already a firm favourite in my wardrobe! I tend to wear with a merino crossover with a vest top underneath, but have also worn it with a normal faux wrap (with a vest top underneath) and the Verona cardigan and I donāt feel restricted! I was SO excited when Kettlewell announced they were making a faux-suede version of the Chloe (cue daily checking of website until it appeared!) and Rachel does not disappoint! I am a size 10 and the Small is perfect - I can wear 2 thinnish layers under it, but usually just wear one - I'd put a heavier coat on top if cold outside. As other reviewers have said, it's just that bit edgier and more stylish - and luxurious - than a cardigan, and the Camel goes with pretty much everything in my autumn wardrobe. I Love the colour. I love the material, but for winter this jacket is too thin. Would benefit from lining. I know many are saying they will wear with a thin top underneath but unfortunately even my usual size does not fit. I am a M/12 and have the Roxy in my usual M and it is fine. The Medium Rachel is just a bit too small, the large too big. If you are a 12/14 the Large might fit you, but of course does depend on build. I am 99% of the time a 12 in most makes. Just when I thought it couldnāt get any better, my Rachels arrived! - I couldnāt choose between the vibrant Lapis Blue or the rich Cranberry so ordered both and surprise, surprise both are staying as they are simply gorgeous and not just coordinate with but enhance so much of my Winter wardrobe. I remain a massive fan of the Chloe as the length and fit are perfect for this 5:4ā short-waisted, busty, inverted triangle. However, the fabric of the Rachel is so luxurious, I would describe her as Chloeās upmarket twin! Both jackets are incredibly versatile and for me, replace the need for a cardigan. Itās warm enough with a scarf for the coldest days so far, which for me is great as bulky chunky coats can swamp my petite figure. I ordered both the lapis blue and grey stone. Whilst liking the lapis I couldnāt justify the cost of 2 and the grey stone colour way is gorgeous and goes with everything in my wardrobe. As others say, the fabric and style are just perfect: neat, elegant but still casual. Slate is now my absolute favourite neutral colour. So pretty. (Please do more in slate.) I usually take a small in the Chloe but have agonised between the S and M sizes. Because I want to wear it often, now, when the weather is colder I have decided to keep the M to have the option of a slightly heavier layer (e.g. a lightweight merino jumper) underneath. I have reviewed these jackets before, already owning three in my Summer/Winter colours, but couldnāt resist the blackberry, so thatās four then! Contrary to another review I have just read, I havenāt found the fit noticeably different from my other purchases. These jackets are warm enough to replace a woolly cardigan but have just that bit more style with their asymmetric zip. The faux suede fabric drapes well and is slightly stretchy, so the fit is neat and forms to my body. I am a 68 year old 5ā2ā size 10 āinverted triangleā, and buy a size S. I need to keep my clothes neat to avoid turning into a shapeless ball, and find the fit perfect, even when left open. The length takes it to mid-hip level on me, so the shaping defines my waist both when unzipped or zipped up. The sleeves fit closely but comfortably over a long sleeved Kettlewell top, although you would find them a bit restricting if you wanted to wear a bulky pullover underneath. It doesnāt swamp me, and always looks chic. If you prefer a more boxy fit I would suggest you move up a size. It can be dressed up or down, with jeans, smart trousers, skirts or over dresses, for casual or smart events. It is quite pricy, but itās versatility easily earns its place in the wardrobe. I'm tall 5'9 and was worried that this would be too short for me but strangely it works. I wear lots of dresses and this jacket is so much more contemporary than a cardigan for me. The fabric is very soft and of excellent quality. yes it is fitted but I'm not planning to wear as outerwear.- Mandy (16/10/2020)

I have one of the Chloe jackets in size small. Iāve just compared the two and unfortunately this jacket is a tighter fit (especially on the arms) and comes up very short. I am a small or x-small in all things Kettlewell but would definitely recommend sizing up in this. Iāll be sending it back sadly.- Emily (16/10/2020)

This beautiful little jacket is already a firm favourite and I know it will serve me well. The fabric is beautiful and soft, the colour is rich and sumptuous and the style suits my petite upper body frame. The sleeves are quite close fitting but itās not the type of jacket youād be wanting to wear bulky jumpers underneath anyway. The style is cropped so if you like longer line jackets then Iād suggest you size up. I see it going well with a silky roll neck and jeans. A gorgeous jacket!- Angela (12/10/2020)
