I bought this whilst at the colour studio last week. I was looking for some neutral coloured clothing to complement my bright spring Kettlewell coloured tops. I purchased it in warm stone in a size medium which is the size I would’ve expected to be. I did not find it over large, but the sleeves are long. I’m happy with the longer sleeves because I’m quite tall. I will only be wearing it over sleeveless tops because I found the arms quite tight and having tried it with a few longsleeve tops it seems to be a bit stretched. However, that won’t be a problem as I purchased it with two Pippa tops and it looks lovely over those. A great ‘Spring neutral’ addition to my wardrobe.

As others have mentioned, I too love the previous incarnation of the mid cascade wrap - definitely a hero piece which I wear a lot in the summer months - so I was thrilled to see it return. However, the new version is nowhere near as flattering. I prefer the dimensions of the previous version but the biggest issue for me is that, although described as longer sleeved, I did not expect the sleeves to be 7cm longer than before. Sadly this new version hangs off my arms so I will have to return it. Disappointing!

SIZE: XL COLOUR: Oxford Blue

This has been a good purchase for me. As a larger lady there have been very few Kettlewell items that have comfortably fitted me up till now. The mid cascade in XL is a good fit and the oxford blue is a lovely colour. The viscose material hangs well and looks smart. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

I ordered both the Fuchsia and Indigo and was unsure whether I would like them after reading reviews and comments on KCC however this new style definitely suits me better and doesn't make me look so big around the hip area compared to the old style. I ordered my regular size large and also ordered a medium to compare but found the large was a better fit with a longer back length which I need at 5'10". I am resisting buying in stone as well as I already have a Shelley in that colour however due to the new styling I am seriously tempted to place an order. Another win from KW for me!

I was so thrilled to hear that the mid-cascade wrap was back. I swiftly ordered one in hibiscus, eager to see this new color and add it to my wardrobe. However, I am very disappointed with the styling. I have many mid cascade wraps and this is just a longer version of the short tie wrap, rather than the mid cascade wrap. The mid cascade hangs longer on the sides, whereas this wrap's long points hangs in the front of the wrap. I'm sorry to see this revision since the styling of the old wrap was far better for my shape than this new one. Sadly, the mid cascade is not back in it's previous form. Sending it back. Kettlewell Colours should definitely change the name to "mid tie wrap", rather than "mid cascade". It does run big as did earlier versions. I usually wear an L but always size down to M in mid cascade wraps which I forgot to do with this order. But the error in sizing does not account for the style change. However, the hibiscus color is absolutely beautiful and the color will tempt me into purchasing other styles in hibiscus! It's a deep orange/poppy mix and works well for my blue spring, clear, warm and bright.

I agree with the other comments that this runs large. I usually wear an L in Kettlewell, but because this is a flexible fabric and open with no closure, I think it would've been better to order M. I enjoy this for a longer option, although the short one is better on my figure. I am 5'5" with a long torso and a not so defined waist, so I love the shape that the Short Cascade gives. This one doesn't have the same perfectly flattering effect for my body type, but I still like the soft drape. Kettlewell tends to produce more classic, conservative shapes, so I love anything they make that drapes or has a cowl. I purchased in both Stone and Indigo, which are some of my favorites as a Sultry Winter.

I agree with the previous comment that this mid cascade seems bigger than earlier versions - certainly the ones I have. I'm returning the small for x-small (I'm UK 8-10). Very happy that it comes in indigo which I'm sure will be a useful neutral for me.

I love these wraps and was so pleased that they were being produced again. I did find that the new shaping seemed bigger than the earlier designs and was too broad across my shoulders with too much material at the front. I'm returning these and going down a size. Otherwise love the material and colours and can't wait for the replacements to arrive.
