I have recently received a sleeveless V top in colour Magenta which i purchased to go with the Vivienne skirt in Magenta and pink colourway. I am usually a size 14 and L top fits perfectly. It is a good match for the skirt and is so comfortable to wear. Kettlewell do not have many items in Magenta at the moment and some customers might like to know that M&S do a basic short sleeve T shirt in a deep pink that is a good match to Magenta . Kettlewell clothes are so versatile and co-ordinate with many of my High Street buys but I can honestly say that Kettlewell clothes are really a superior quality and such lovely colours.- Tricia (17/04/2024)

I have always loved the sleeveless V tops. They are a staple in my wardrobe. I recently added aqua to my collection, as it seems they will not be restocked, and I prefer this fabric over the fabric used in the two-way top, which is thinner, doesn't lay as well on me, and seems to wrinkle more easily. I've just been on a holiday and got to wear it several times. it looked great under my Chelsea blazer. Washes easily and very easy and light to wear. It was lighter than I expected ! I wore it with cream denim jeans and ordinary jeans and it was perfect for the evenings in temperatures of around 18-20 degrees. I notice it can be worn either way round. I appreciate the wider shoulders and v neck. I naturally have wide shoulders so for me this tops means I don't have bra straps showing at all. I have a few of the Sleeveless V- neck tops. I’m a size 14 and wear the Medium size. They are quite fitted and the double front layer helps give a smoother finish to the front, so I wear mine when I want a smarter look. I read a review re this Navy shade being very useful, and so bought the Shelley wrap. Surprise! I need a v neck, as that is most flattering for the shape of my face. I love the double front. I size up to prevent a clinging and provide a semi relaxed fit. This sleeveless top checks all the boxes. I have it in a variety of spring colors, wear the this top year-round, by itself or layered under long sleeve tops, with sweaters, and can dress it up or wear casually. This t shirt is really comfortable to wear and is of high quality. I love that Kettlewell allows me to choose colours according to what suits me best. I love these comfortable chic stylish neat fitting tops! I’ll admit I have a few now, this one in cobalt is an incredible colour! So intense and bright, a real wow. And I wear these all year round , in summer with a skirt or shorts and they are smart enough for work or the beach or even a conference! The double layer keeps everything neat and tidy, classic chic. The V is just the right depth even on my 5 ft 1 frame with rather a lot of bust, which is all neatly covered. In cooler months I can wear it over a shirt or blouse and show off details on a designer sleeve without swamping my petite frame. It’s just so very versatile! This is a superb garment and I like to wear it all year round! I wear it in summer for a neat fit with the on trend wide leg trousers or culottes. I also wear it in winter as a tank top over a shirt or blouse, especially for blouses with large or interesting sleeves as the fit is so neat in the body that the sleeve details can be showcased. Particularly like the silver colour I ordered. This time I decided upon a large size, as although I’m a 14, I prefer not to have tops too close fitting, as that shows every little fault in one’s mature figure… and this fits beautifully, without being at all baggy. I don’t think I’d count it as ‘large’, as a size 16 woman, for example, might find it too tight. Clothes are very expensive nowadays, even t-shirts, but the quality of Kettlewell’s clothes means they wear well, and look good. The range of colours is simply excellent, too.- Alison (28/06/2023)

This top will take you anywhere. The shoulders are wide enough to hide straps, the V-neck is not cut too low, and the cut skims the body nicely. It's also very comfortable. These sleeveless V necks are so useful. You can wear them in winter underneath blouses and tops as an extra layer but they come into their own in summer. I love wearing them under a linen shirt or a Shelley wrap. They have a double front which hides bulges and V neck which is a perfect size. Worn alone they are perfect on a warm summers day. I need to recommend the navy one in this item as it's going to be the most useful ever? I love to create a jumpsuit effect with the navy culottes or Lauren trousers or an evening gown with the maxi skirt. It's that universally flattering inner column that is especially useful for a petite 5 ft 1 like myself. Then in cooler times I can add any warp or jacket , but also in autumn or spring I can use it as a flattering tank top over my many shirts. These shirts are now too loose in the body but I love the collar and sleeves peeping out from the neat structure of this double fronted comfortable yet flattering top!- Susan (16/04/2023)

My first Sleeveless V was in Ganzi Purple and it's just so fabulously versatile! I wear it on it's own in summer both for walks with the dogs with shorts or for dancing with a floaty skirt . However I also wear it in spring and winter as a tank top over shirts and blouses! It provides the neat body shape I need while allowing the blouse sleeves to show off pretty or dramatic details. When I coordinate the purple with matching purple cords or do the same with the cobalt blue one I can achieve the flattering inner column shape also. It's a win/win/win!- Susan (16/04/2023)

I ordered the Jude wrap in the colour leaf but was unsure what colours could be worn with it. I do have a couple of Kettlewell tops in cream so knew they would be fine to wear under it, but wondered if there were any other colours that would go with it. I checked the Spring combinations and found that Ganzi Purple was one of the colours paired with leaf. Thank you, Kettlewell Colours for repeating one of my Wardrobe Heroes in ‘proper’ Navy - I really needed a smaller size replacement! 🙏 Perfect V, lovely wide straps and no gaping around the arm holes. However, if you’re between sizes/ on the busty side, I’d advise sizing up. I’m an inverted triangle with a 36DD/E bust and find the L plenty fitted enough but not so form fitting that it can’t be worn as a stand alone top. Looks fab under a jacket or Short Tie Wrap and everything from shorts/ jeans to culottes/a skirt. Love it!- Ali (17/03/2023)

Loved my first sleeveless v (soft white with 121 label) but disappointed with the 2 I've bought since - Hawaii, and most recently Ganzi Purple (122 label) both of which were returned..All were size Large, yet the Hawaii and Ganzi Purple felt thinner and a whole size larger than the soft white from the previous year. Very useful sleeveless V for under my SCWs and cardigans . The ganzi purple is gorgeous and adds a lovely pop of bright colour under darker items . The double layer is great for hiding my imperfect tum(!) and the V is just right without being too deep and revealing at 64 . The shoulders / armholes cover straps well and the fit and quality are better than anything I have found elsewhere. A very useful piece and I will be watching for more colours in my size . I am between a size 14 and 16 , ( my weight varies!) and I find the L fits well . I usually take the LL in the Darcy V which is very similar to this vest apart from the sleeves ,mainly because the sleeves are roomier in the larger size, which I prefer . Another sleeveless V neck top. I have them in almost every spring color. After many washings the fabric on the back panel of my old tops have gotten thin and worn out. The neckline has also lost its shape, although I could probably iron it ti smooth it out. However the ones I purchased in the last year or so, seem to have more stretch and seem to be made of a more substantial fabric, so hold their shape better. I wear size L but order some LL’s for a looser fit. I love the color of the emerald turquoise. It’s clear, rich, bright and warm. Perfect for this blue spring !- Marsha (25/08/2022)

They are so soft and comfortable and the double layered panel at the front is very flattering. The sleeveles V is an absolute staple of my wardrobe, especially for formal and smart occasions. The size of the V, the fit, the length and the finish are all perfect for me, I'm 5'2" and slightly short waisted. Very comfortable to wear and easy and crease free for packing. I bought 3 different colours (soft white, spiced coral & ganache). I'm a size 8 and bought xs in size. The colours and fabric quality are great. The arm holes are a little on the small side compared with the Betty cowl. Fabulous top - lovely lines and cut. As a busty XS, I struggle with the fit between S and XS in some Kettlewell items, but this top fits beautifully in the S (as do the Bretons). This is the first time I have ordered from Kettlewell. The choice of colours and styles is amazing zing. The sleeveless v neck is lovely, no gaping armholes and the v falls just right. The extra layer at the front gives it shape and body. The cotton is of an excellent quality. Yes you do pay a little more for them but they are not throw away fashion and will last. This is my second sleeveless v neck in a small. The fit is excellent ( uk 8 EU 36) and the v is not too deep. Whilst it’s long for me ( I’m 5’ ) it still works though it needs to be a bit draped over the tummy area or tucked in. Trying thé acid yellow was a bit outside my comfort zone of winter greens, strong pinks and navy but it is a true cool yellow .and I really enjoy wearing it. Kettlewell service is always good and I would happily shop more with Kettlewell but I feel that the items remain slightly overpriced given their quality.- Sarah (18/07/2022)

The V neck is spot on, not too low, also the arm holes are not oversized. The fabric is really nice and elevates it from a basic top. These are fabulous tops and I now have 3 in different colours. I am usually a size 12 (34E) and ordered M but exchanged them for L as they were slightly snug at the back showing more lumps and bumps than I was comfortable with. The L is great and a “smoother” look. The tops are versatile and can be worn casually as a summer base layer or more formally for work under a jacket or blazer. I ordered the cobalt blue, medium size to wear underneath one of my Shelley wraps (size small). The colour was fabulous but it was far too tight fitting so it wasn’t flattering. I have 6 of these wonderful sleeveless v’s now, this year’s 3 new acquisitions are white, black & the gloriously fabulous acid yellow which was a very pleasant surprise. They fit beautifully & the double layered front smooths everything really well. Just as good on their own or with any kind of wrap or jacket, they’re a staple. I have bought several of these tops in my spring colours and absolutely love them. The double layer in the front gives a smooth line and as with most of the Kettlewell tops the fit around the arm holes is great, no gapping which I find with so many other tops. Great fitting top, the double front is smoothing, the v neck not too low, and the stitchfree finish of the neck and armhole edge look classy enough for work wear while simple enough for casual. Of course there are cheaper vest, but £-per-wear the v neck (and soft square sleeveless vests) are a quality basic- wash well, don’t really need pressing, hold their shape and stunning colour. Something about these vests feels reassuringly more ‘dressed’ than wearing a normal ‘vest’ from any other brand. Leaf is a gorgeous colour, joining a couple of others already in my wardrobe several years old. The sleeveless V neck is a staple in my wardrobe. It is a super flattering neckline and a great piece for a base layer. I am 5'1 and size 12/14 US and wear an L. The fabric is thicker than many knit tops so it hides some of those lumps and bumps. I currently have it in black/navy that I wear with my knit pant to create a column of color. This is my fourth Sleeveless V! Beaujolais is a deeper color than the other jewel-toned tops I've ordered but it works with my complexion. The fabric holds its shape perfectly and washes well. When I love something, I buy it in multiples; I have a fifth Sleeveless V on its way in Navy. I hope this will be a Kettlewell staple offered for many years. Fabulous sleeveless top for the warmer weather with modest double front and wide shoulders. Lovely soft fabric and a flattering shape. I adore pink geranium! Goes so well with the spring palette, from bright navy through all the shades to the lighter end of the spectrum. This has already proved to be endlessly useful and extremely easy to wear. Can be dressed up or down, as the occasion requires, and is equally at home over a skirt or trousers/jeans/leggings. True to size. Slim fitting but not tight. Just the right amount of coverage. OMG ! This is the most beautiful color. I have always ventured away from limes and acid yellows but KW's lime is so rich, warm and bright. It really is a perfect color for a blue spring like me, in combination with bright blues, aquas, warm deep purples and turquoises. If lime is in your palette definitely give it a try. I posted a picture on KW Club FB page and received many positive comments. I may now purchase another item in this color because I can't get enough of it. Oh, BTW, the sleeveless V is one of my favorite KW staples. I wear these tops every day...stand alone in summer, with sweaters in spring and fall and layered in winter. I wear them as PJ's or under PJ's depending on the season. I wear them to yoga class. They are a soft, stretch cotton ( mostly cotton). The front is double layered. I am a size 14 petite and order L. The fit is form fitting. I have ordered LL and the fit is more relaxed. The fabric is soft and is perfect for my current work-from-home situation. It was also listed for Springs and Autumns so I can see why it may have more of a yellow undertone. Reply from Kettlewell - It may be of interest that the yellow undertone will disappear when washed with normal detergent. If you prefer to keep the warmth in the colour then you need to use detergent formulated for colour.

What a wonderful top! Endlessly versatile - can be dressed up or down and is the perfect length over skirts or trousers. I particularly appreciate the double front as it helps the garment fit without clinging. I adore the pink geranium colour and as a spring with plenty of bright navy and cream in my wardrobe, I find it goes with countless items I already own. But that's not to say I won't be having a look at other spring colours, though...and maybe exploring other colours to put with the pink geranium too, such as ganzi purple and the range of beautiful blues in the spring palette. All in all, a great purchase and well worth the money. I am a 10-12 (wide shoulders but slim in body) and tried both the small and medium. I bought this top to wear while teaching Pilates and Yoga - I have done both in it this last week, and it was very comfortable and practical as well as looking smart. I wanted it to be close fitting for practical reasons and I appreciate the double layer of fabric at the front so it is not too 'clingy'. I absolutely love the colour. I love these Sleeveless V’s ! I have learned through the styling session that a V Neck is preferred for my shape of face. I have them in almost every color available for a warm spring. They hang nicely and are not clingy if you order a size up. I am a size 14 petite. I have ordered this in Large but found that I like them a little looser around the hips so I now order them in an LL. The length hits just above my thighs and the V is not too low. This time I ordered the top in apple. It is as warm and bright as shown on line. It’s lovely. During spring and fall seasons I layer it with the merino wrap sweater. Honestly, I wear them daily to dress up or dress down or yoga. The only problem I have found is that with wear and washing, the V neckline can lose it’s shape a little too quickly. I also love the shoulders - almost a cap sleeve so they balance my hips really well. Two of these tops were part of my first ever order with Kettlewell and a resounding success! Sky blue was an easy choice. Then I looked carefully for a summer red that's one of my wows from my personal colour swatch and delighted to find that the on screen colour is pretty true to life and a great match for one of my deeper summer colours. Great contrast when worn with a pair of navy linen wide leg cropped trousers. As a new customer I was concerned about the fit as I am a 14 on top but with a very full bust. I ordered large in all the tops I selected. The fit is great. The quality is excellent. So pleased to have a pair of sleeveless tops which fit and flatter, deep V is lovely, wide shoulders mean no bra straps apparent and double front gives a good line even with a bra with embroidery. I now have a few of these tops in different colours . The V neck is flattering , not too low, and the fabric being fairly form fitting doesn’t,t gape away from the bust / neckline . The shoulders are wide enough to hide bra straps and the double layering means a flattering , but not too close fit . My bust size is 36D and I find the medium to be a good fit . I really wanted to like this V-tank top, but it didn't work for me. The quality and feel of the material are very good as well as the broad choice of colors to compliment the Colour Me Beautiful options. The excellent double layered fabric is so much more dressy than a sloppy cotton tank top or t-shirt. I was ready to buy more colors for my wardrobe if it fit. I wear a medium size (10-12 US) and am normal weight (not fat/not thin) with a larger bust than average, but the shirt didn't hang right on me, and I don't know why. I bought a medium and large for comparison. The medium was too tight across the back and in the front below the bust. The large fit better across the back, but had too much material that bulked up below the bust when I moved so I had to return them. The customer service was excellent, and after returning the items, I got the credit back right away. I would definitely buy from Kettlewell again if the company tried a different type of sizing/fit. The 3/5 stars I gave the style review refer to the fit not being right. I liked the v-neck and everything else.- Laura (25/09/2017)

I just love these new 'V' neck tees. They fit really well, are too long in the body and make the perfect summer top when the weather isn't quite hot enough for strappy tops. I love this style of top and the colour is fabulous but even the size S is too big for me. It is majorly big on my frame. I am an 8 with a 32A bust. . So I have had to return both tops which is a crying shame as the colours were perfect. I find the silky crew neck just about fits although the neckline is a bit baggy but with a V neck on top it is okay. All the other size S tops were too big also. I bought this in a black medium - I am a 10-12 size, and this top is a little gaping at the bust but I know the small would cling too much to the mummy tummy! I won't send it back as it still looks good on. The V neck is higher than I would normally wear but it is a variation to a theme of black sleeveless tops that aren't the "run of the mill wash and wear once before they develop holes"! You can feel the quality, and I will probably buy some real colours when I know what season I am! (yes I know black is winter, but until I am proven otherwise, it will remain a staple!!)- Catherine (09/02/2017)
Really haven't purchased tops for some time since a larger size was becoming obvious! However, this V-neck (my favourite style), sleeveless is absolutely 'me'. Exactly the shade of blue I had in mind with the neck being the perfect depth. I must now ensure that I don't miss out on some stunning colours that are Out of Stock. Loved this top and the colour buttercup is gorgeous. However around the middle it is very tight and so so long! I bought L when I am normally M. but the middle is so tight. Please Kettlewell we are not all 5'10 inches tall. I am 5'3 and in proportion and this was so long.- Kathy (29/08/2016)

The top is pricey but the discount made me feel I was having a bargin; it is well made - double layer in the front. I have purchased two of these for my holiday - one in aqua and one in jade. A little pricey but purchased this top with 15% discount offer. However, very good quality and like the double layer and perfect V-neck. My bust measurement is 37" so ordered size M. and although fits well around bust it is a little too clingy around middle so will try L next time. Would also appreciate a shorter length. I am a size 12 and ordered two of these tops in medium and they are indeed a size 12. The quality is superb, the colours are gorgeous, the V-neck isn't too low and the length is just right. BUT - they cling round the middle. Like many other women of my age, I have a "muffin top" - not a huge one but nevertheless I am aware of it and I certainly don't want clothes that emphasise it. Although these tops are as perfect as they can be on the top half, they do cling round the middle. Yes, I could wear a shirt or cardi over but I think they are a bit too expensive to cover up. I am just waiting for the day that Kettlewell produces exactly this garment in a fabric that skims, not clings.- Lindy (07/06/2016)
This was part of my first order and I'm very pleased with it, having failed to find this hot pink in a sleeveless version in the shops. The quality is good and the size (M/12) fine. My only slight reservation is that I would have liked the armhole a bit larger. Service was excellent particularly as entering my address on the order I somehow missed one of the house numbers. Beautiful colour but too long in the body. Although I'm 5' 8" I like my tops fitted and not as long as this camisole is. Very good quality just not short enough for me. Perhaps you could make them available in two lengths. 22" or 23" and longer?- Abi (31/05/2016)

I now have this flattering vest in five 'Summer' colours - please, please can we have more? Sizing seems to be good, I'm a tall, busty size 14 and 'large' fits me well. The modest neckline is great for work, but not frumpy (especially for those of us with bigger boobs) and yet still good for casual wear too. The length is good, no-one wants to see gaping clothes! I'm still buying this top but I'm running out of colours I like. I've bought Kahaki, Coffee and Navy this year but you haven't got it in Merlot, French Grey, Pine/Forest Green, VIbrant Orange, Charcoal, aubergine or Russett and I'd love to have it in these colours - and more! These are great for work and the double fabric covers all the lumps and bumps. High V also good for the corporate world. They wash really well. I'm wearing last years again and they are perfect so well worth the investment for a basic. I was a bit late ordering this year which is a pity. . Marine Blue and Black please get somemore in stock.. I was looking for a smart vest to wear for work when (hopefully) the weather gets warmer. These vests are great quality and should wash well, which is what you need with work clothes! After giving up hope of finding something to fit my oversized body, and feeling very aggrieved that Kettlewell are phasing out the XL sizes, I decided to give these a try as they looked so lovely. AND - despite being much fatter than I should be, to my amazement they are actually very flattering and a perfect length!
