A beautiful soft, light scarf/stole yet very warm when needed. I chose strawberry which is a delightful shade especially good for fair colouring as I have. Not too saturated in colour. Already I have duck egg and sea green. Absolutely worth the investment too!- Stella (26/03/2024)
COLOUR: Pink Ice
Wanted a CGS for ages and finally treated myself when I had a very generous voucher for Christmas from my son. The hardest part was deciding on what colour but decided on the pink ice in the end. Wow! Such a glorious, intense and vibrant colour! I love my collection of CGS and this one is no exception - a perfect purple for me as a Cool, Clear Deep (Winter)! Definitely worth every penny! COLOUR: Golden Amber
I have dithered for a very long time about whether or not to buy a CGS. In the end I just decided I was worth it! It was hard go decide which colour to go for, but in the end I chose golden amber. COLOUR: Amethyst
Super soft, like a feather light comfort blanket! I have several similar but not all from Kettlewell. They are expensive but cost per wear, to get the perfect colour, is how I justify the cost. You have to treat them carefully as threads are easily pulled - but the there worth it fir the feel Amethyst great for summers- Jan (21/12/2023)
COLOUR: Island Green
The Island Green scarf is my 9th and I have just ordered Peach Echo which will be my tenth Cashmere Gauze stole bought over the years - yikes, I just counted!!! I use these scarfs almost year round - either as a winter scarf round my neck (all day) or a light shawl in summer (smart or casual), or for extra warmth as a shawl in winter. I have neutrals (grey and toasted almond) as well as pastels and brighter spring colours. When worn as a shawl you feel instantly warm even though they are so light. They can be used dressed up or down, and pack away small for travelling... I am definitely an addict! I just wish that I didn't have to limit my colours to the spring palette. COLOUR: Vintage Blue
I got this as I already had the deep sea green and I loved this colour. I never took the green one off last winter as it was so warm and it still looks good. No catches. Well I haven’t taken this one off either. Such a good buy and I wore the green one in the summer as a wrap aswell. I like this colour more as it goes with more of my clothes. I was really surprised at how much I love these scarves! I'm an autumn and started with Apricot, but have added Sea Green, Cocoa Bean and Copper to my collection. They are pricey, but they are such good quality that you will have them for years. Just make sure you follow the washing instructions!- Ann (25/10/2023)

So hard to choose a new colour - Golden olive is a really useful colour- even in a chilly late summer I’ve had it to hand since it arrived . I know I’ll wear this lots. I have several CGS and keep them in a small ziplock bag for protection from dirt and snags, they open out so warm and cosy for such a small thing and add a bit of lux to any outfit (if you are a scarf person).- Kary (25/09/2023)

The phrase, ‘…because I’m worth it,’ really should have been coined for splurging on a CGS as wearing one of these beauties genuinely feels like enveloping one’s self in a colourful cloud of joy, every time! She’s the perfect companion, whatever the occasion and has already garnered plenty of compliments and attention as an elegant, lightweight Summer stole. Plus, given what a non-summer it’s been weather-wise, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve appreciated her sumptuous snuggle value, especially on early morning dog walks! I’m over the moon, delighted with my super versatile Ink Blue CGS! Exactly what I was looking for yet somehow so much more than I’d imagined. It’s an incredible colour! COLOUR: Pink Clover
I dithered about purchasing the cashmere gauze stole and finally took the plunge and am now the happy owner of a beautifully soft one, in Pink Clover. I thought that it may be too warm for the summer but I was wrong. I have put it on when it has been chilly, wore it as a wrap in a cool air conditioned theatre and on a train journey and as it packs up small, it is a constant companion! I am concerned that it may snag easily so keep it in a small bag within my handbag. Maybe a small cotton one could be included in the purchase? A friend always says, ‘ Price per wear’, and this is proving to be so! I am looking forward to my birthday next year and another stole in a different colour.- Louise (11/07/2023)

As a Winter, I bought the pink ice for contrast ! I am a green-eyed blonde and my wow colors are fucshia, lobelia, royal blue, damson, turquoise, light emerald and pine . The pink ice is a perfect contrast to the bright bold cool colors in my palette. The soft pink color is very flattering around my face. COLOUR: Hyacinth
The Cashmere Gauze Stoles are one of my few guilty pleasures in life. I collect these as they are so versatile and can be worn all four seasons. This hyacinth color is my favorite however as it goes perfectly with everything in my Blue Spring HoC palette. In fact, if could only have one color, it would be this one. Worn over Fresh Lime, warm reds, purples, yellows, greens, any navy, Soft Camel, sp/su and sp/wi grey... it works beautifully with them all. Even *gasp* browns! “I’ll order 3 colours, select one and return the others,” I told myself. Yeah right! I’m not going to fall for that one again! I loved them ALL and didn’t return any! 🤦♀️ Hyacinth, Soft Yellow & Apple Mint. They’re beautifully soft and warm and the colours are gorgeous and just finish off an outfit perfectly. Can be worm casually over sweaters and jackets or formally draped over the shoulders at a wedding reception. Handy to put on in the house too when it feels chilly and you just want something soft and cosy round your neck. Yes, they’re pricey and I try not to look at my bank statement but I know I will get plenty of use out of them all and will probably add more colours in the future but will have to save up for that!- Pamela (07/04/2023)

COLOUR: Limeade
This isn’t my first cashmere gauze stole and it probably won’t be my last. These are investment purchases and add value to many outfits. They are light, soft and very warm, without being overpowering. I carry a fine net bag with me so that when I need to take the stole off, I can carefully fold and roll it up, and store it safely in the little bag in my handbag. The stole goes down to a very small package, so takes up little space. The latest colour…limeade…..is a joy and makes me feel happy. Ok, you can buy cashmere stoles elsewhere, but few companies offer the range of colours to boost your look. Well worth the investment.- Alex Kendall (11/11/2022)

My first CGS despite being a long standing KW customer and I am delighted with it . It’s so soft and warm. I was worried it might need delicate treatment as it is so fine but actually it survived holiday packing, chucking in my handbag and still pristine. Saving my pennies for no2! I've wanted one of these scarves for a long time but couldn't justify the price. Finally decided to buy one becasue it was the colour forget-me-not which sounded perfect and looked lovely on the website. When it arrived it was a much darker blue than any forget-me-not - and looked more like mosiac blue. So perhaps it had been mislabelled. Reluctantly I returned it and have since noticed that forget-me-not is marked as out of stock. Shame but perhaps just a one-off mistake. I may order one in another colour to treat myself for Christmas but haven't decided which colour. I'd love if if it was available in Angel blue.- CJ (18/10/2022)

I have finally found the perfect yellow for Bright Winter, in this gorgeous Dazzle Yellow stole! Even though the gauze fabric can sometimes soften colors, I don't feel like it did this with color at all. It's clear and bright and perfect! Very soft, lovely quality. I was dithering between charcoal grey and deep sea green and not feeling any sense of real urgency during the summer heatwave! But when the charcoal was marked up as low stock I had to act! I've since bought the green, and am into a second round of dithering over hyacinth and plum. I have to admit that this is my 7th Cashmere Gauze Stole! I prefer them over the Merino Infinities because they're softer and can be rolled into a neater shape. Having read the story about these scarves and thought the price was justifiable, I ordered a scarf in Honey. On the face of it definitely not the most colourful option available but to my mind ever so useful (as my first scarf, anyway).I have fondled it but not yet worn it. COLOUR: Island Green
I have to be truly honest here and say I was very hesitant to buy this stole, it's expensive and I struggled to justify why I needed one. I met up with some other Kettlewell ladies and they showed me how lovely it was and how versatile. Still I hesitated it's a lot to pay for a stole, yes it's Cashmere, but still expensive. Eventually I took the plunge and ordered two (I can never buy one of anything), one in Royal Blue, the other in Pansy and since then a further one in Island Green. It is a lovely stole, I'm not always a scarf wearer as I don't like things around my neck but in winter this is ideal, they come in so many gorgeous colours it's hard to choose. I do wear my stoles, ideal if you are travelling for that extra warmth on a plane, ideal as a wrap in warmer evening climates and the fold up small enough to tuck in a handbag. I'm glad I have them my favourite is Island Green, this is an amazingly bright colour for this Paintbox Blue Spring- Gill (20/06/2022)

I have ordered this stole a few times but always sent it back for several reasons; high price, color not quite right etc. but I decided to take a chance on the beautiful Mint Green & I’m hooked!! It’s so gorgeous! It goes with so many things in my closet..OMG! I love it! The reason I got this color is because of an Insta post with Melissa and a Color Expert and she was saying how fab. the Mont Green colors look with French Gray…she was ab. right! Oh my goodness - this is one of my favourite purchases from KW & I have bought a LOT of things from this company! This scarf is as light as a feather, yet is beautifully soft because it’s made of super fine cashmere. I’m completely in love with it (!) and purchased for a special occasion (wedding) so have been saving it for the big day but to be honest, I really didn’t want to take it off when I first tried it on! You can wear as a wrap to compliment a dress or as a simple scarf casually. It’s gorgeous to wear! As someone else said, at this high price it is a considered purchase and so hopefully something that will last for years to come. The weave is incredibly fine and loose so don’t wear any jewellery that will snag it or it will be an expensive mistake but apart from that I will love wearing this gorgeous addition to my wardrobe. I’d like one in all my winter colours but that will take a while at this price, so for now I will enjoy the beautiful one I do have! I only discovered kettlewell 6 months ago. At first the price seemed too much for a scarf and I wasn’t interested, but when I got my first CGS for my birthday that was it. The majority of my other scarves were demoted and I now have 5 CGS’s. I wear them all the time. COLOUR: Tea Rose
I now have two of the Cashmere Gauze Stoles, but it took me a long time to purchase my first one because I found it so difficult to decide which colour to go for. I still find it difficult and as a consequence missed out on the Rose Taupe but then Tea Rose arrived so I snapped her up straight away. I'm not sure how to describe the colour, a deeper pinky brown or browny pink, whatever I love it. Huggy soft but delicate material when there is a touch of chill in the air, who can resist. Initially I was reluctant to buy these as I thought they were expensive. However I purchased two as I was given vouchers for Christmas. I went for the Cobalt Blue and the Island Green, they are beautifully soft and are great during the winter periods as an added layer around your neck, they also would make great stoles in the summer months, although I am yet to use one for this.- Gill (05/04/2022)

Scrumptious Pansy colour, so soft and warm and as the song goes 🎶 I will always love you!🎶 I also bought the lime at the same time. Once worn, hard to take off. This is my third Cashmere Gauze Stole and I can't say enough good things about them! They're e a bit expensive but are just so beautiful! The colours are amazing and they are lightweight, yet cozy and warm as well. I have Duck Egg, Smoked Grape and now, Dutch Blue. I thought it might be a bit too bright for a Summer but it has just enough softness about the colour to make it work. I don't have anything like it in my closet so it fills a gap, nicely. The CGS's are really lovely. The weave of the fabric is substantial enough to resist snags and pulls yet airy enough to feel lightweight. It's a perfect balance! I have just received my second of these wonderful stoles, they are so soft and lightweight but incredibly warm. The royal blue is simply gorgeous, a lovely purplely blue. They are a considered purchase, but the quality is outstanding and I have got a lot of wear from my first stole in true red which I have had 2-3 years now that the cost per wear is easily justified. This is my third gauze stole and this time I went for the True Red in time for some Christmas Cheer! The colours are beautiful and luminous. I love that the stole can be either worn as a scarf in winter or as a wrap in summer (instead of a cardigan). I was initially worried about the loose weave and that it would pull threads easily, but I haven't had any issues, in fact the other two have kept really well. I was skeptical about the CGS - not because it wasn't beautiful and in stunning colours, but because I didn't think it would neat enough for Dramatic Classic CP. But I have succumbed and am deliriously happy. I now have 4! They are versatile: neat fold takes them into several different tie styles; loose chunky casual loop wrap; as a stole as summer evenings cool. As happy dressing a light summer dress or inside a woolen winter coat. They are not too warm in mid seasons, but amazingly cosy and soft (I am allergic to lambswool/merino but can wear cashmere). I adore these scarves - I have been slowly adding to my collection over the last 3 years. Soft violet is my most recent purchase and possibly my favourite to date! It’s a gorgeous dusky shade that will go with everything. The scarves are such beautiful quality and divine to wear. I also like the fact they are ethically sourced from a small female-led company with long lasting relationships in Nepal. The scarves have a fine gauzy weave which makes them light as a feather but very warm and cozy. The “feathery” raw hems are really pretty and add to the natural effect. They are versatile to be dressed up or down and worn a variety of ways. The soft colours look particularly fab as the texture complements softness so well. It folds up fairly small so could fit into an average size bag. It is quite light, fine and with an open weave which I think jewellery could catch on unfortunately. They are an investment piece but I live in the North of Scotland and wear a scarf literally every single day of the year so on a cost per wear basis they are well worth the price! I like the raw edges as I think it adds a interesting softer feature to the edges and you can choose to display the edge or not as you wish. The French Lavender colour is beautiful although I think it looks much lighter and clearer on the the website. I am really delighted with this beautiful stole/scarf. I had hesitated to buy one because of the price, but it will get many wearings, so become good value quickly. The cashmere is pure luxury, you really feel you are treating yourself and the slightly loose weave, the 'gauze' means it folds up nicely to become a warm scarf, the cashmere's soft folds creating a flattering 'cloud' of colour right against your face if that's how you choose to style it. Worn as a stole in any season, it can be tossed around the shoulders, also close to the face. The French Lavender is a gorgeous mid tone lilac shade, with some warmth, as it's suitable for Spring people as well as my Summer season, flattering for my older face. I am obsessed with these scarves! They are light and delicate but amazingly warm! This is an all season investment in my wardrobe. The weight, drape and colors are perfect. They are light enough to be worn wrapped as a scarf , including indoors, as there is no huge amounts of bulk around the face due to the lightness and it is equally appropriate as a stole - it is so beautiful but understated. So if you wore it as a stole out shopping or to work, it would not look over the top. It is elegant yet down to earth.... and amazingly is incredibly warm! Both of these colors have been out of stock for ages - very frustrating!! Please bring these back!! Delighted with this shawl. As a self confessed scarf addict I’m rarely without a scarf , in fact would go as far as to say don’t feel fully dressed without one .This scarf is so cosy and warm . I have purchased many kettlewell items and have always been very happy with the quality of my purchases with the exception of this cashmere stole. I only wear my cashmere stoles on special occasions so have worn it less than a dozen times. The material is literally falling apart in places going so thin that you can see daylight through the thin threads that are progressing into small holes in multiple places. I look after my clothes and for the price I would have expected this garment to last for years instead it cost me approx. £10 per wear!- amanda (18/01/2021)

My first Cashmere Stole and I wasn't disappointed, its Beautiful. I have Rose Brown in my palette but I find its too dark for me so I was really pleased to see the Rose Taupe as it has more pink in it. I will be able to wear this colour with so many others. My second cashmere stole, another gorgeous color, that is well made and will go beautifully with autumn colors. The color looks a bit more orangey than “copper”. I bought this second hand, it was reported as Copper. Seems more of a blood orange. I love how KW achieves the subtle color nuances in its scarves. I purchased the burnished Gold second hand and I was so very impressed with the quality and durability of the weave, let alone the color! A very rich color, perfect for autumns. My latest purchase was Rose Taupe which is a very versatile colour and perfectly suits my Summer profile. The weight and quality of this stole are absolutely beautiful. The pebble grey was a poor choice of colour for me, though. It goes brilliantly with everything in my wardrobe, just not my face! I'm a bit of a scarf addict and have quite a few KW infinity scarves but due to the fabric type I do find some of them a bit stark for my soft summer style. The cashmere scarf was recommended by someone on the Colour Club and Jo mentioned how lovely and versatile the Oyster Pink was - hence a purchase of another ( this one quite expensive) KW scarf. I must say I do not regret this purchase one bit! The scarf is so, so soft...great as a cover-up in summer, and will be so cosy and warm during the cooler months. My only regret is not buying another one when the stock was replenished some weeks ago. I have just bought my sixth of these beautiful scarves: I have three, and now my daughter also has three. They can be worn so many ways: wrapped around your neck with a coat, but also used as an elegant shawl for an evening event or to deflect too-enthusiastic air conditioning. They can be worn in all seasons, and are so light that I often carry one in my bag so I have something to put on if it gets chilly, either indoors or out. And the colours are just beautiful: rich, deep and saturated, or light and elegant. My latest purchase is Jewel Lobelia, which is a vibrant purple shade, very striking and beautiful. I have 3 so far, the first, cochineal from 2 years ago still keeps the sharpness and softness, and I wear it a lot. I own an ice blue that has been through at least 3 washes and looks perfect. The iris (similar to jewel lobelia) is my favourite, and always get wow compliments. Investment pieces, light and soft, wow factor. I purchased two of these scarves after reading the reviews . The colours are beautiful and perfect for my Winter colouring . They are lightweight enough to wear in the warmer months but as they are cashmere will be cosy in the cooler months without being bulky . I will use all year round which justifies the large price tag although for something luxurious that I will have in the wardrobe for years price per wear will be reduced. Oh dear, I finally succumbed having been eying up the Blood Orange gauze stole for months. I already have a teal one which is my favourite go-to scarf; so soft, warm and compact. The blood orange is slightly less bright than it appears in the brochure, but actually that suits me better. Obviously everything is relative so for some it might not seem too expensive. I was afraid the Electric Blue might be too strong for me, but it is in fact a beautiful, saturated mid-to-dark blue that is clear and rich but not overwhelming and will go with all Winter colours. These scarves are admittedly expensive, but they can be worn literally with anything, from jeans to formal dresses. They are extremely lightweight, very warm, and easy to carry with you in a handbag so you always have a warm layer available to deal with everything from draughty offices to chilly winds. I wear one most days throughout the winter. They are a luxury in quality terms, but they can be worn for many years (they will never go out of fashion) and are so deliciously warm, versatile and useful that they are definitely worth the money!- Kathy (03/10/2018)

Pricey, but rather lovely. I got the light grey which is an all season, suit-all and my best light neutral (blue spring) so should work with everything. I have used it both as a light wrap over a summer dress and as a scarf now it’s cooler. It would make a great gift. Oh my goodness this is such a lovely lovely scarf. Warm when you snuggle up into it, but so light and breezy. I searched everywhere for the perfect wrap to go with my wedding dress, and then realised that it was already there, sitting in my wardrobe. It was a gift - i think I am too stingy to buy something like this for myself on spec - but I would def buy this for a (very) special gift for someone else now. And it might be £105 - which is a lot, I know, but compared to all the things I looked at for the wedding it was so much better quality. This time I bought the one in soft white which goes well with most of my summer clothes. These are lovely. For a long time i had only one in silver which I almost never wore except on very dress-up occasions, but after reading an article on-line showing several ways to tie them, i now wear them all the time. Instead of a cardigan in warm weather, they are light as gossamer but warm. So many pashmina type shawls are overlong and heavy and make me look like a short fat frump. In these, i feel like a film star... Expensive, but I cut back on other stuff, and now have the winter colours cochineal, winter lobelia and electric blue too and hope to wear them for years. I would love one in pure white if one was available. Everyone comments on how lovely they are and the winter lobelia compliments the latest sapphire Kettlewell dress beautifully. I now have three of these stoles in ice pink, silver and navy and they are very nice indeed! At first I thought they were very slightly itchy but when I’ve worn one for a few minutes it is soft and comfortable. They give warmth without making you feel overheated. I loved the colour (cochineal) but sadly decided to return it as I was planning to wear it with zipped jackets and the texture looks very delicate: I was worried it might get snagged by zips, jewellery etc which would spoil the elegant look. I just bought my second cashmere stole, this time in Cochineal. It is an unusual shade, not quite raspberry, a little darker and more blue than true red, just lovely for a Winter. It instantly adds a snap of colour to an outfit, and looks brilliant with white, navy or black. It's wonderful to wear: immediate warmth, no bulk, no weight. It is undoubtedly expensive, but I regard it as an investment in a wardrobe basic that I can wear all the time and that will last for years. I'm not really a cashmere person. Life is too short for expensive clothes that need hand-washing. But I always feel cold around my neck and having seen the rave reviews of this stole, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try it. And I'm so glad I did! It's a marvellous piece: so light you hardly feel it, but amazingly warm and very soft. I wear it nearly all the time, with anything from a nice dress to jeans. It folds down so small that I can carry it (in a little plastic pouch) in my bag so it's always handy. Ice Blue is a super colour for a Natural Winter, looks great with navy, true red, mallard, or black; for a different accent, I will get another in Cochineal next month. Beautiful colour but I returned the stole because it was too short in length. A stole which is fine and gauzy really needs to be longer, especially if like me you are tall. You eyed the extra length to give long tail pionts after winding it around one's neck. What can I say that hasn't been already said. Yes, it does seem expensive but for pure cashmere it is very reasonably priced. I received my cashmere gauze stole on Monday (after ordering Friday afternoon! Kettlewell customer service is amazing) in burgundy and oh, I am in love. It is exquisite. Well worth the investment - I see why these sell out so fast, and regret not realising before the royal blue sold out too. Anyway, back to the burgundy - as a Jewel Winter/Romantic Ingénue, the cashmere is luxurious, sumptuous and the shade of burgundy is spot on. My collection of fabulous Spring colours is well used as I wear one of these stoles almost every day of the year and sometimes two together in the colder winter months. I had wanted to order one of these cashmere stoles earlier this summer but by the time I had decided to buy one there were none left ! So this autumn I ordered early and have just taken delivery of one in hyacinth which is beautiful . I have just taken it with me on holiday and it was so useful in the evenings , as it folds very small and , of course , is very light to carry and was also very warm on the plane journey . I was so disappointed all the summer colours had sold out. Great new stock has arrived. I ordered pebble grey Indian spice and laurel oak. As an Autumn I kept the laurel oak and returned the other two. I like the laurel oak as it can be used as an Autumn neutral. They sell out very quickly more stock would be appreciated please.
