I'm 5'9 and the large size is perfect for me (size 14-16). I suit deep colours and am delighted with this skirt which perfectly matches other items I've bought previously. As another reviewer said the colours appear to blend so I have found a beetroot top and a raspberry bolero work well with this skirt. I am considering buying the navy & delphinium one too. I'm a GP in a northern market town so I wear clothes which are washable (so I can avoid scrubs!) cheerful, and smart but comfortable - Kettlewell has become my "uniform" over the last 7 years and the clothes look great outside work too. I agree the printed maxi is a cost jump up from the usual maxi skirts, which are definitely appropriately priced, but my experience of the Kettlewell prints is that the colours last so I think it will prove worth it. read more »

This skirt comes up big and very long, and I am a good size 12 and 5ft 8ins tall. I had to go down a size to Small as Medium was too big and therefore made the skirt nearly ankle-length on me, which I really didn't want for day wear. It is also a very bold and dramatic print so people under 5ft 5ins might struggle unless you want a full-length skirt and a very bold pattern. I certainly couldn't wear the dress as a Natural Classic and needing no more than medium scale prints. But I am happy with my skirt as an Autumn. Yes, as someone said, it is a going-out skirt. I wouldn't just wear it around the house as its too expensive for that and for my cat to admire and claw! But it will go with boots and a belted top, and I will be going out to wear it at £80. IMO, far more attractive than shown in the catalogue as Spring if one matches tops to go with the colours in the skirts themselves to blend rather than something opposing or totally different. Very good quality and hangs so well on me and for me as an Autumn, it's great. But bare in mind it is long and bold. read more »

Love the style, fabric and quality of this skirt event though it is quite long on me - I'm 5' 5". However, I just don't think I'll get enough wear out of it in the current restricted environment. For me, it's a going-out skirt and, I'm not going out. Reluctantly, I will be returning it. read more »
