The colours are amazing and the shape is just lovely. I wasn't sure it would work on me-small boned and busty- but it does. I found the top too long, making my legs look short, but it was easy to shorten the top and the result was perfect with high waisted jeans. (That is the only reason for taking off 1 star for style) I have now ordered the skirt. The top doesn't seem to show wrinkles so I have hopes for this for travel as well as everyday. I liked this top so much that I have also taken the chance and ordered the orange blossom. I am definitely a Summer, but teal and burnt orange usually work well for me. The style, fabric and print are so good, it is worth taking the chance. I wish the style of top was available in plain colours as well.- Delphine (23/03/2024)

I loved this print in the preview, as a deep summer the blue, grey, and violet is a dream combination. I dithered because the high neckline isn't the best for a big bosom, but my love of the print won out and it lived up to expectations. Soft, flattering, with useful long sleeves, this is a very Zoom call-friendly top for work but also looks great with jeans. Thrilled. Bought an XL because the LLs had sold out by the time I stopped dithering, but judicious tucking means it still looks lovely on a 16/18. Thanks Kettlewell.- Julia (22/03/2024)

Wow! The colour and shape of this surpassed all expectations. The pattern was charming without being twee and will look terrific with jeans, both black and indigo. The navy in the pattern is so dark it will blend beautifully with black jeans, trousers and skirts as well as with navy. I am slim-ish but curvy and this showed off my figure while remaining modest and age appropriate. I am thinking of getting the skirt too.- Delphine (15/03/2024)

Very pleased. Jo's blog about dressing for your shape made me realise that I am a "lean column". She suggested this blouse would be a good style for that shape, which it is! My parcel arrived today and this blouse was a delightful surprise. Been looking at this for a couple of months and was very unsure about the pattern, UNTIL I saw the top and skirt on a lovely lady on facebook. She looked stunning so I ordered it to try. So very glad I did as it has many of my favourite colours, not at all clingy. The fabric has a beautiful drape to it. Extremely flattering so I'm very glad I took the plunge. If you are looking at this top it's definitely worth trying. Don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm now going to order the skirt!- Andrea (18/12/2023)

Lovely blouse that I am getting a lot of wear out of. At this time of year it needs a long sleeve sweat catcher underneath, but it looks great with the blueberry velvet skirt, either on it's own or with a knitted vest over the top. I thought this print and colour would be way over-the-top for me. But I do love the style of my other Phoebe top, so decided to give it a try. Love it - goes with many things in my wardrobe. Now this blouse is truly special! Comfy fabric, a graceful feminine cut that isn't juvenile or foofy (TY), well-chosen rich joyful colours in a good scale print -- beautiful. Love the Papaya background (vs off-whites) and minimal amount of off-white in the print. Initially worried it might be too bright or busy a print for me, or too small/round a neck for my preferences, my concerns evaporated the moment I tried it on. This is the most beautiful blouse. It has great colours, a pattern which looks fresh while cleverly disguising any lumps and bumps, and lovely details, all of which elevate it to something special. Saying that it looks just as good with a pair of jeans as it does dressed up to go out in the evening. Only Kettlewell manages perfectly coloured prints. I have had lots of wear so far from this top . The colours are bright and I can wear it with my brown or blue neutrals and with jackets , cardigans and fleeces . It washes well and although the material is thinner than the previous version that I have in neon ditsy, it is not as fitted and slightly longer and does not cling . Also I can wear a light layer under it for extra warmth . I could have sized down to a small but I am glad i did not . I ordered this top to make sure my parcel qualified for free postage. I never imagined I would keep it and return the other top! I was attracted by the beautiful colour but didn’t think it was my style. How wrong I was. I love the top. It can be worn informally with jeans or smartly with a skirt and jacket. This is a pretty blouse and probably more princessy than my usual style. However, I was attracted by the dramatic Winter colourway, and the fact that it would go with so many items in my wardrobe. Ordered the top for the colourway - fab for a sultry winter. I liked the style as I was concerned the neckline might be too high but it was fine as I need a bit of neck showing. Fit wise in XL it was quite fitted for me, possibly a little more than I’d hoped - but I love it either way so very happy. I liked the elastic cuffs and more shapely sleeve. I so love the new version ( more relaxed fit ) ,of the Phoebe Blouse that after receiving my Spring colourway which is bright and cheerful , I ordered the Autumn one which is more subdued but suits me even more !! As a result I sent for the blue version ( Summer ) because the base colour is in my palette and I add warmer accessories . Although I like the mix of colours Kettlewell are so brilliant at doing , would it be possible to design small abstract or geometric designs instead of florals using your "colour wizardry " ?- JUDITH (20/10/2023)

Very difficult to review! Firstly - I love, love, love the print! The colours are fantastic for this sweet pea summer - the basis of my capsule wardrobe for a trip to Vienna this week! So versatile. Secondly, it feels so comfortable to wear I know I will reach for it regularly - l adore prints! The downside - it is very very thin fabric - I nearly returned as quality not as good as previous prints - I’m not sure how well it will wash and wear for amount of use I could give it. The style is a little frumpy too. It would be fab in faux wrap. Size wise I’m between L snd LL and went for LL- Jan (20/10/2023)

Love this style, I have the matching skirt and I also wear this top on its own with plain skirts and jeans. The fabric is so soft and washes well. Blueberry crush is perfect for the summer palette and goes with most colours. Kettlewell has just designed the perfect blouse for me. It’s so hard to get a print which has colours which all work for my season in the shops on the high street, it’s frustrating to like something but one colour throws it off. As soon as I saw this I knew that I wanted to order it and when it arrived I looked at the packet and smiled because I could see wonderful autumn colours all together in the right size print for me too. The print is great without being twee or too big and bold. The detailing around the neckline and sleeves are pretty and elevate it to stylish. This is a top that I know I will wear again and again. I bought the Phoebe in Blackberry crush. I don't usually wear patterns as I don't think they suit me. Looks like I need to think again as this one does. It all depends how I combine it with plain colours, but it has amazed me how well it does combine with so many of my clothes to create lots of different outfits. This top is clearly going to have a huge amount of mileage for me and very low cost per wear. It gives me a different look and feels great. I am very pleased with the fit and style. I thought the style of this blouse was very pretty but I wasn't sure about the golden ditsy pattern as ditsy patterns don't normally suit me. However, it was so nice that I ordered the skirt in the same colourway afterwards. I was surprised to find that it went with an old pair of culottes in my wardrobe (not KW) which have nearly been in the rag bag a few times as I couldn't find a top to go with them. They were sold as 'bright pink' which they are clearly not! The top introduced me to the 'coral' colour, which again I wouldn't have considered but it looked so pretty in the pattern that I have since ordered a top in that colour. I bought a size small as I wanted a fitted look and it is very skimming but not tight.- Julie (09/02/2022)

A really lovely top. It’s much brighter than I would usually wear but I took a risk as it said it was summer colour. The fabric is very soft and comfortable to wear. The neckline is pretty and I like the long sleeves. I am between a size 12/14 and ordered a Medium and it fits just without pulling over the bust. Purchased the Phoebe blouse in Rose Ditsy to co-ordinate with other items in my wardrobe. I haven't worn it yet, only tried on. As a Brown Summer, the colours do work well for me. I agree with other reviewers that this top is dressier than a t- shirt with the gathered cuffs and neckline. I'm size 12 and bought M. It fits well across the shoulders but I would have preferred a little more room around the tummy area. I also wish Kettlewell would offer tops in pure cotton without elastane and feel they're missing a trick here. The fabric will allow a cardigan or light jacket to be worn over it comfortably. I have three of these tops which must tell you something. They are a nice close fitting shape so take that into consideration when choosing size but have a comfortable amount of stretch so are quite flattering. Like the elasticated cuffs too which make the sleeves a little more interesting. They fit well under jackets or just make a nice casual top which looks dressier than a tee shirt. I wasn't sure this top would suit me, but I loved the pattern so ordered to see for myself. The pattern is bright and beautiful, goes with practically every colour in my wardrobe and lights up my face. The gathering at the neck is lovely and gives a feminine touch. I was worried about the sleeves, but they still fit under a cardigan, so offer more flexibility than I expected. The quality is superb (as with everything I have from Kettlewell). On its own this didn't work on me, I think because of the rather grey background colour. However with the addition of a cashmere gauze stole in canary yellow and/or the knitted tank in blue jewel and coatigan in orange, then it works well. I brought the phoebe top last winter and loved it so when I saw it in the ditsy print I had to try it. I am a bright spring but the neon ditsy did not work on me at all - it 'washed me out' so I returned. It goes to show that not all spring colours work on a spring. Since then the Shop by Colour facility on the website has been upgraded to allow filters for season and tone which I find really helpful and needless to say the neon ditsy is not on there for bright springs. I hesitated for a very short while over the ‘Ditsy’ as I wondered if it was too pretty for my Pixie style, but it was love at first try on. I love these Phoebe blouses and have purchased both the neon and the golden ditsy in my Spring shades together with the matching printed scarves to complete the look and take the tops into the cooler months, The scarves also hide my midriff bulge !! I only wish the Phoebe blouse was less fitted and a more relaxed fit. I had to return the matching skirt which was too long ! Please design for your average customer. I sized up for starters as Kettlewell is always pretty much clingy. Glad I did as these arnt generous at all and hopeing wen I've ironed it its not strunk.
