SIZE: LL COLOUR: Ultra Violet
Lovely fabric, beautiful color, great generous fit! This is my favorite Kettlewell top.It suits most occasions. It is lightweight enough for me to wear alone in summer and spring and layers well under other tops/sweaters in fall and winter. Very versatile. This is my all time favorite Kettlewell top! I like the longer curved hem- that covers nicely. It is lightweight enough to wear alone all spring and summer and as an under layer in fall and winter. I have it in most of the winter shades and have both L and LL sizes. Typically I wear an LL or XL in Kettlewell, but this top is generous, so I have mostly sized down to an L. This top is beautiful at first. I've had several and they all stretch out over time. The fabric becomes thin and the blouse loses its shape. I have followed the directions for washing but to no avail. I once had purchased a turquoise blue Imogen many years ago in small and it got so big and misshapen I complained to Kettlewell and they gave me a refund. So I purchased an x-small in Mole, and while I loved it at first, it has also stretched out to the point where it has lost its shape. Even the circumference around the sleeves are much larger than I first purchased it. I got this shirt several years ago. So while it has had a good run, the fabric doesn't maintain its shape. I have some classic blouses in my closet that I have treasured for a decade; don't expect the same lifespan for this blouse.- Olithea (15/03/2024)

This is my third Imogen top. I usually wear a size 14 so have purchased size L previously but wanted a less baggy look this time. The M was still loose so I would recommend sizing down with this style. The fabric has a lovely drape and sheen so I would definitely recommend it. I bought this in 2022 as one of my first Kettlewell purchases. Although I’ve worn it a few times I have to say that compared to later purchases(I’ve bought a lot in the last 12 months!) this is not a favourite. The fabric is thin and not very forgiving on the tummy. There are better styles in the collection if you are worried about middle aged spread!- Marian (04/01/2024)

Beautiful saturated colors, quality material. My experience - T-shirts with long sleeves: Longline Scoop Neck and Silky Scoop Neck are for thin or with strong abdominal muscles, a larger or loose tummy is not nicely outlined - for these figures only a nice loose Imogen Top applies, but what others write here applies - take one size smaller than the size you have for the other items here - for example, the Slash Neck Long Sleeve is XL and the Imogen Top is LL. As there are a lot of women with a tummy problem, I would welcome more free cuts or even just more colors for the Imogen Top, so far I have bought 4 in the same color when there are no more for my color type :-) Otherwise, it is very expensive for the Czech Republic, several times more than what we have in stores. Finally, experience with colors - for True Autumn they are absolutely great: Moss, Red Earth.- Petra (29/12/2023)

I love the Imogen Top as it is just that bit looser on the hips. Unfortunately the colour shown on the video "Dutch Blue" apparently doesn't exist anymore. So I chose the nearest I could find which is "Blue Jewel" but when it arrived I was very disappointed. It is much darker than the picture on the website. So have to return. All I want is a nice ordinary blue. I hope it will be available soon and that the website pictures get sorted out.- Janet (16/12/2023)

I cannot get enough of Imogen tops. I think I now have about 5 colors. The style is perfect for me, as I do best with loose flowy tops for my romantic side of style, and for my body shape (I haven't had a discernable waist for a very long time!). The fabric is wonderfully soft. I wasn't sure as a spring if I would care for the variation in the threads, but find that it adds a nice, barely discernable texture (appealing to my natural side). The sleeves are perfect in length, I plan to continue to collect these in all spring colors as they are offered.- Mary (12/12/2023)

I absolutely love Imogen tops! I buy size large and have about 5 or 6 of them. The neon apple is a terrific spring color - and goes beautifully with chocolate brown, navy and gray skirts / trousers. I will continue to collect these tops in spring colors as they are fantastic with skirts and trousers, and can be dressed up or casual. The fabric is flowy and feels wonderful on.- Mary (07/12/2023)

Lovely relaxed top in a gorgeous colour for a brown summer. It is surprisingly slighty too big in the shoulders for my 5ft 7 size 20. However its very comforatble and I'll try to find a solution for the shoulder issue. I'm keeping it!. A surprisingly lovely top! I normally go for the more fitted tops, but the Imogen has taken me by surprise. Very comfortable, and very flattering, whether you wear it tucked or loose. My expanding tummy has disappeared in it, but I don't look like I'm wearing a tent. The drape is very shapely, if that makes sense. I'm between sizes - I buy M for most tops and L for bottoms, and the M is perfect for me. The red earth colour is beautiful and warm. It's quite a thin top, so I'll get a lot of wear into summer out of it, and it's perfect for layering in the other seasons. I think this may become my new favourite. The Imogen tops are delightfully easy to wear and, doubtless, will be layered over or under during the winter. The length is perfect on me at 5’3”, just covering my seat without swamping me. The fabric is fluid without clinging. All in all, very useful and flattering. I love the Imogen for its neat tailoring and light fabric. The fabric tucks in without bulk and makes a nice drape pulled slightly out or with a half tuck. It also gives another look worn loosely and is stylishly comfortable, and looks great with light flowy scarves. As a soft autumn, I have been staring at the soft autumn filter, waiting patiently for a new colour (other than in knits, which I cannot afford), and was thrilled to see a new blue - Slate! Probably won’t buy another Imogen top as being slightly pear/skittle shaped there isn’t enough swing or looseness around the hem area. I sized down from my usual M to an S after reading the reviews but the next size up would probably be too wide in the shoulders. I get lots of wear from it though but I wear a very silky cami underneath so it doesn’t cling so much. Without the cami it’s not wearable for me. Recently bought this top in neon apple. Being a spring who loves bright and vibrant this colour is fantastic. The material is so soft and is not clingy. I bought a medium my top half is 12/14 bust 34 E and there is plenty of room. The loose fit is lovely and the neck line is more of a soft scoop. Looks great loose as well as in a French tuck in jeans. Please bring out more bright spring colours in this. I bought a different top in this material five years ago and it is still great today after many washes. Please also consider bringing out other styles in this material.- Jane (14/04/2023)

My first Imogen top and I’m so happy I chose this . I love the different type of fabric used it’s quite silky feeling when worn and and I love the subtle slub effect it has it gives the material a nice effect . I love the colour , it wasn’t a colour I was familiar with and I wasn’t too sure at first but it’s gorgeous on . I read the product description and as I didn’t want it too relaxed a fit I sized down so pleased I did it looks Fab on my petite size . I bought the Imogen in Inca gold Size Small to add a colourful basic to my wardrobe for the colder weather. The shirt is a loose fit which I love and the material is comfy and breathable. I really love this Imogen top. The style and fit are good, even the sleeve length. I am a 10/12 petite and the Small size was fine. I also love the Tulipwood colour, not a colour that I have worn before but it works. The slub in the fabric just adds to the interest. Liked so much that I am tempted to buy again in another colour. A great layering piece too for when it gets colder. Can't praise this top enough. This is my 6th Imogen top. They are so easy and comfortable to wear. The colours are intense and jewel-like. They skim over the body and flatter. Love the Imogen Top and was delighted to find one in Tree Top in the sale. I sized down this time to a small and it fits perfectly. The medium is just a little voluminous on me as a 10/12 but still a good fit. I have several Imogen Tops. I learned early on that you need to size down in these. I usually wear L in KW clothing but wear a M in this top. It hangs nicely and is not too clingy. If you are adverse to clingy, silky tops, this is not the top for you. I'm 5 ft and it is longer than most of my tops and a bit "tunic-like". I love the rich coral color and hope, it this fabric, it remains as rich and bright as the day I received it. Most other coral tops ( Dina sweatshirt and Hetta T have faded a bit from many washings. It's bit disappointing, since, as a spring, I wear clear and bright. Regardless this top is stunningly, rich, coral and I love it!!!- Marsha (03/02/2022)

SIZE: X Small COLOUR: Coral
Just received this top in 3 colours: Coral, Dutch Blue, Lobelia. I finally decided to try XS instead of Small and the fit is so much better on me! It is still a relaxed fit but does not feel sloppy, as does the Small I have in Pansy (last year's). For reference, I'm 5'10" and this top is still long enough to cover things. Interestingly, last year's Small and all three of this year's XSs I just received are the same length. I love the Imogen tops and these are the latest additions to my collection. They can be dressed up or just worn as a comfortable tunic for relaxed days at home. I size down to L from my usual LL as I find that a better look. But I still wear my original two LL ones for lazy days around the house. They’re cool in the summer but can be worn with layers for the colder weather. And the colours are lovely, which is the main reason I keep buying them. I love the Imogen top. I have an assortment of colours in it. I wear it with jeans or leggings. When the weather turns colder I pop on a contracting or toning vest underneath (my grandmother would be proud of me!) and you get the glimpse of a different colour as I reach up. When it's really cold I wear a cascade or wrap over it and again have fun with the colours. I have to size down to an M in it - and could probably even get away with an S. I like Imogen tops as they are less clingy and therefore can be worn as a top on its own. I bought cinnamon and absolutely love the colour. It is better version of mustard for this deep/warm. The True Red Imogen is my second of this style. Size small is loose fitting for me as a UK12. The fabric is comfortable and drapey, and although quite long can easily be tucked into jeans without adding any bulk. For easy days at home I wear it loose over leggings, and topped off with a Pansy Infinity. What’s not to like? I love everything about Imogen and have several. The fabric, length, drape and versatility is great. Such an easy layering piece. I wear them on their own, with a silky top, long vest or camisole underneath and with wraps or long cardigan over. I hope to see the continuation of this style and I just know there will be more purchases from me! I am normally a size 14 to 16 and find L is the best fit fit me and not clingy. I am a serial collector of Imogens. I have very sensitive skin which I need to keep covered in the sun and I find them ideal for spring summer and autumn, as they cover me without being clingy and hot. I wear them tucked, half tucked and loose. I think my last couple of purchases seem to have a very slightly narrower neckline which I find better as then no bra straps ever appear. If washed as advised, they come up as new, though they do take a little while to dry. I size down to small in this style. I totally love this Imogen in Dutch Blue- probably my favourite KW blue. I inadvertently bought a size L- I’m a 14 but usually size down in this. However, it hangs beautifully , it covers all my lumps and bumps and means that I can easily wear a cami or vest under this so I might keep it rather than exchange for a smaller one. Autumn Leaf, Natural, Soft Column (12-14 top and 12 bottom), 5' 5" - The 'Imogen' is one of my fav tops out of the range. Scoop and semi scoop 'soft' necklines work best for me and if this top had a lower neckline it would be perfect ... (I've just learnt to be more creative with lightweight chains and scarves to achieve the neckline that suits, but it does feel like a slight 'compromise'.) It drapes beautifully; the curved hemline is flattering, and can easily be worn full, part tucked or with a hip belt so is a very useful and flexible wardrobe staple for me. It skims and looks great worn with smooth, slimline Robell trousers. I appreciate the length of the sleeves which can provide a colour pop around the wrist under a jacket/blazer or scrunched up if worn alone. I wear the Scoop Half Sleeve and Silky Scoop Neck in Sm/Med as base layers and the Imogen in Med. I have it in Rust and Laguna and am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a similar, heavier weight option for the Autumn/Winter season.- Sharron (09/06/2021)

I already have several of these Imogen tops and love them. I size down to L as the first couple I bought in LL are just a bit too big and slip off my shoulder. This one in Delphinium is not listed in my Winter palette but I liked the colour. I absolutely love it and it’s currently my favourite. It can be worn casually with jeans or dressed up for a slightly more formal look. I’ve since added a Laguna to the collection, not listed for Winter either but also a favourite. It's taken me a long time and a lot of postal returns to discover what really suits me and Kettlewell has helped me enormously along the way. Today I received the Imogen top in size small. I'm normally a size 10 - 12 on the high street but found it better to size down to a small in this top. It's just the right size for me so to help others I'm 5' 4" and 9' 13 and a medium build. This top covers my modesty well when wearing leggings but isn't too long. A fabulous colour blue for Winters and a go anywhere dress up dress down item which I know I will love for years to come. I chose this top purely because of the beautiful colour - Emerald. I love my Florence Infinity Scarf in the same fabric so I thought I’d give this a go. In all honesty, I don’t think it’s the most flattering shape on me. It’s possibly too long and definitely a ‘relaxed’ fit (even sized down). Nevertheless, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I like it as a casual top to wear with jeans. The fabric is silky soft, drapes beautifully and just feels so comfortable to wear. I had my colours done and am an Autumn, this is the second Imogen top I’ve purchased; this time in Mole. I haven’t yet worn it but am looking forward to wearing it with my off white jeans it’s so soft that I can comfortably tuck it in. I’m a Petite 5’2” and 30E bra size, and usually an 8-10 in a large department shop. The XS is a perfect fit on me, sleeves are just on my wrists. I love this material and the fact that it’s a long sleeve top which is great for this time of year yet there’s enough stretch to push the sleeves up too, plenty of room to move in but not too baggy on my petite frame, I’ll also be wearing it over leggings when the weather is warmer as it covers my bottom! I’m a Dark Autumn and Ordered the Imogen long sleeved top in Tree Top. I’ve not had it before, but previously had the Tasha tops which I also love and are similar material. Received it today, am wearing it already 👍 I love it. I’m a Petite 5’2” and 30E bra size, hope that helps. In Mr Spencer’s shops 😉 I’m generally an 8-10 so I ordered the XS. The fit is perfect on me, sleeves are just on my wrists, the length is great too, just below my bottom. The material is perfect, enough stretch to push the sleeves up if I wish, room to move in and also it’s so soft that I can tuck it in my jeans without it taking up too much room. I am an hourglass so this top isn’t really my most, flattering shape but I’m finding I wear it all the time. I love the length at the back. It’s a cross between a tunic and and T shirt top. When I am doing jobs like playing with my grandson on the floor or gardening it feels so comfortable. I have the small and could probably have the extra small as the seam is a little wide on the shoulder. It looks really nice with the Chloe jacket. This colour is serviceable but not exciting - but that doesn't stop it being comfortable and extremely wearable. It is thin so will continue into Spring. I first purchased the Medium because I am a Kettlewell Medium in most items. It was just a bit too roomy for my shape, so I exchanged it for the Small. Love the Mole and Musk Rose Colors for a Soft Autumn. Suggestion: I’ve learned to use the body type sorter and that works well in directing me to items that will look good on my body type. Can you add the Body Types right in to the description of fit for each item? It would be a good reminder that even if you like something it might not be best for you. I find the notes very valuable. I do have an issue with the body type calculator. It doesn’t include bust size so I come out as a Lean Column, but no way with my chest. Lean columns are always described as small chested and bottomed. I’ve been sized in CMB as a Neat Hourglass, so I look at both Hourglass and Lean Column.- Deborah (08/12/2020)

I read every single customer review before ordering the Imogen Top, because I was unsure what size to order. I am a 5’3” 112 lb Winter, and normally purchase a Medium in cotton tops to allow for some shrinkage. In the case of the Imogen (containing no cotton), I followed the recommendations of other KW customers and sized down to a Small. I am so glad that I did! The fabric is extremely soft and not at all clingy and the sleeves are a good length on me. The longer back works well with leggings, and is more streamlined in style than a swing top which can sometimes be too voluminous. I purchased both the Deep Claret and Sapphire, and the colors are rich and beautiful. The fabric is lovely and soft, and the chocolate colour was rich. However for me, I felt it clings a bit too much to the bust, although I have a small bust it felt a bit exposing. The fabric is also fairly thin, and I would prefer a thicker fabric for winter. Both of these issues would be solved of course by wearing a camisole underneath as others have said. This top is very generous in size for me, I am a size 14 and 5ft 1, so l am glad I bought a medium. It fits well and is a nice length. The fabric feels soft and silky, and is a lovely vibrant colour. The top drapes nicely and can be worn with jeans, or dressed up for smarter occasions. The sleeves are a little too long for me. I washed this top on a fast spin cycle as I didn't read the washing instructions (my fault!) and this has caused an area of tiny holes, which has proved to be an expensive error on my part as I have only worn it once, so take care when washing.- Lesley (05/10/2020)

I love the wonderful colours from Kettlewell, but the Imogen top was just like a bell tent on me! I am size 12 and medium looked like a shapeless floppy top - my husband thought maybe for pyjamas. It does fit ok on the shoulders, so not sure a smaller size would work, though I know it is possible that a smaller one would look better. But I am not going to try because I don't even like the fabric, which seems to be too light. I know others love it, so their feedback may be more helpful. I’m so glad I persevered with this! I bought a size L a couple of years ago and it drowned me and so I thought that it just didn’t suit me. However, more recently I’ve seen it on the Kettlewell Colour Facebook group and deduced that I needed to size down to a Medium even though I’m a size 14. Hey presto! it’s done the trick. I bought two: an Oxford Blue and an Emerald Turquoise/ Bright Jade. I adore them! The colours are just stunning and I can see them going with lots of pairs of trousers and even short skirts. I haven't purchased from Kettlewell before so was unsure about sizing. I am normally a 10 but bought a 12 and indeed found the top slightly too large - but am OK with that. I suspect a smaller size would have felt too tight across the shoulders and under the arms. I love the length and fluidity of the top and have worn it with big chunky jewellery and a floaty scarf and will add layers as the weather cools. It's a good quality garment and I will be happy to order the same item again in a different colour - I played it safe this time with navy but plan to introduce more colour into my wardrobe gradually. I written reviews previously about the Imogen top. Always size down. I am a size 14 US and wear a M in this top. This purchase was the bright jade color which seems to go quite well with the emerald turquoise mid cascade. The colors are practically identical. It's a good combination if one chooses to dress in uni-color and this happens to be one of your 100% colors. I'm a soft column and love the shape and styling. Reply from Kettlewell - Interestingly Emerald Turquoise and Bright Jade started from the same lab dip but since they sit on the line between warm and cool as well as clear and soft, the slight difference due to fabric variation meant that it crossed the line and we had to create different names to allow for the different coding. If you're a Spring or Summer then by all means you can wear them together very happily.

In fact I am returning to another site a $128.00 (USD) top I could not even really afford-- but I did it out of desperation to find a good fitting tee! And it was too tight and clingy in my size! I could size up but the cut is poor. So now I will get the same color in a Kettlewell top and I am sure I won't be disappointed, at less than half the cost! I think no matter what color i get. The Imogen top , size medium, is much too big and baggy. The sleeves are too long. The neck is wide and baggy. The colour , pastel jade, is duller and greener than pictured and not at all flattering. I purchased two Imogen tops, navy and cerise pink. They are lovely versatile tops. You can wear them on their own in the warmer months or as an extra layer in the cooler weather. The fabric has a nice feel to it. It is light weight, very silky and smooth with just enough stretch for comfort. They are tunic in style so can be worn with trousers or leggings. I love this top. I have one in Hawaii color which I bought in Large. I wear it to yoga classes over sleeveless v tops, and many times as PJ's. The shoulder seams hang over my shoulders and it is very loose. I decided to order down to a Medium this time. It fits perfectly on my size 14P frame. It still hangs and covers imperfections but doesn't drown me. The salmon color is beautiful and goes well with my burnt orange infinity scarf. I now have no less than 6 of these in my winter palate they are wonderful . They are soft silky and have a relaxed fit . Slightly longer than a normal top so great with leggings as well as tucked in to jeans as the material is not too bulky . It is quite thin so lovely for the warmer months or as a layering piece if it’s cooler . I had one from last season but it has been a staple so purchased more from the new range of colours . I over ordered as I was going to select a couple when I had seen the colours but decided to keep them all . I really like the colours of autumn and the quality is good and price is reasonable. However, I find the Imogen tops, which are made of viscose, stretch. I normally buy L but I need an M in Imogen. This time, however, they are much better for a deep cool like me and I bought the Lobelia in L - a fabulous colour. I normally take LL in Kettlewell but this was a good fit for me in the smaller size. The top is long enough, unlike many Kettlewell tops which I have to avoid as they finish too high up my torso to be flattering. I will wear this with trousers at work and leggings at home. I am usually between size 1o and 12, but wanted a loose, slightly tunic-like top to wear with a pair of tight jeggings, so I purchased the Imogen top in Mink. I thought it was a tad pricey, but I must say it was worth the investment. It looks absolutely stunning when on, and really dresses up the ensemble with a scarf and a pair a suede pumps. The colour is perfect for me, as a soft autumn that can wear some of the warmer summer colours. Although I returned this top the only reason for doing so was because the colour wasn't very good on me. The top itself was a nice quality with the light fabric being ideal for the warmer weather. The length was also ideal for me as it was long enough to cover my tummy and bottom which is always a good thing in my book. Bought the Imogen in serenity which is the most beautiful soft colour (I'm a summer). Hope more colours will be introduced next season. I sent for medium and large as I was unsure of sizing on this top (ususllly go for Large on the more fitted tops). Kept the medium which was perfect, I'm a size 14. I have been meaning to purchase a Serenity top for a while now and this new style seemed just the thing to add to my wardrobe. The colour does truly make me feel serene when I wear it - sounds a bit odd but I really like looking at the colour on my arms and I just love the way to looks on my somewhat pale skin! I’d been dithering about this top since I first saw it but, as a Winter, I wasn’t all that tempted by the colours. However, after reading the previous reviewer’s comment about the navy, I ordered that and am delighted with it. The colour is lovely and the top hangs beautifully. It will be useful to wear just on its own but also easy to dress it up. Now all I need is some warmer weather to wear it. And more colours would also be welcome.- Pat Anderson (30/03/2018)

I thought this style would be just right for me, but it is too tight to be flattering, I have kept it because the colour is beautiful and goes with something I already have, but I wouldn't buy this style again. Please please think about larger sizes.- anne blandford (29/03/2018)
Love this longer top with long sleeves three-quarter sleeves annoy me - they slip up over elbow and leave lower arm chilly. Also pleased to get a top in my present fav colour Serenity- Liz Ponting (29/03/2018)

Good length in body and arms. The navy is a lovely rich blue, better than the picture. A versatile top that I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of. If there were more colour options I would have bought more.- Kate (10/03/2018)
