Delighted with this gorgeous royal blue velvet skirt which I bought together with the matching tie/belt. The fabric feels very soft and luxurious and because of the bias cut and my weighty tummy I went for the largest size which was a wise decision. I am very happy with this skirt. I love the soft, silky feel of the velvet and the way the skirt hangs. I am 5ft. 2inches and it came down to my ankles so I got it altered and it now has four inches off the length. It looks great but of course it would be lovely if I did not have to pay more to have this done. read more »

The intense colour of this skirt is glorious! It’s also very easy to wear . I’ve worn it with assorted KW summer T shirt tops with a black leather jacket or the Rachel in Cosmos Purple ( AND I now have a pair of purple shoes to go with it!!). It looks lovely with the Connie in silver , or indeed, any sweater … plus either a patterned infinity scarf or CGS…which I have in jewel lobelia and a bright pink. Guess I’m a fan!! read more »

As others have said, this skirt has a strange cut. I take a Medium in KW skirts usually - sometimes, like in the case of the Vivienne, a Small. But I cannot get a satisfactory fit in this, even going up to a Large. It is a shame, as it is a beautiful skirt - the Blueberry velvet is lush in colour and texture, but the cut, on the bias, is odd. In the Medium it fits my waist and hugs my hips tight, but the skirt falls too narrowly, without the movement I would expect from the “flare” so the velvet does not show to effect. In the Large I can get the velvet flare as I expected, but the waistband gapes. Undecided whether it is worth getting the larger one taken in to fit - the material and colour are gorgeous. read more »

I ordered the blueberry skirt, and it is a beautiful (and warm) skirt. I have been dithering as I like it so much, but there's something about the fit that doesn't work on me. It's too big round the waist and a little snug on the tummy. Because of that, and perhaps because of my short-waisted body, it gathers up just under the waist band which means I could never wear it tucked in. Very reluctantly I have decided to return it. read more »
