Write a reviewLove the cut and the fabric! Perfect fit (I don’t usually close blazers, and a L would be too big across the shoulders.) thank you, K!
I so wanted this jacket to work for me, but as is often the case with Kettlewell garments, it was just too wide at the shoulders to fall properly on me. (I am not particularly narrow shouldered, but this is a theme with Kettlewell and is often the reason for returning). I am size 10, 5'8 and a 32G. The Chinese blue is a lovely colour. The fabric is not quite as I imagined - I had thought it would be softer and more flexible. A sad return, and a hope that a similar shape of blazer in a softer more mouldable fabric and should proportions more akin to the Cate jacket might appear!
The chelsea is my ideal blazer. The cut is fantastic , the colors are beautiful and the fabric is extraordinary. The fabric has enough body that it maintains the structure of a blazer, yet had enough stretch to make it far more comfortable than most. I think it can easily be dressed up or worn casually. I would love to have it in every color and hope they don't discontinue it.
The Chelsea blazer is a fantastic wardrobe staple - with the beefy knit fabric it beautifully goes from adding polish to a jeans outfit to providing a professional air to a skirt at the office. It is the perfect amount of structure with the ease of stretch. And certainly the colors are amazing - it’s Kettlewell after all. I prefer my usual xl for the best fit buttoned of open but also wear the LL as it is somewhat forgiving with stretch for movement comfort. I believe I am a classic style and find Chelsea one of my most favorite pieces that I can count on to always look great.
Absolutely love this one! Bought in the sale - much better price point. I’d ordered previously at full Price and sized down, on advice, but it was too small for my frame. I couldn’t justify full price. However when I ordered in sale and sized upI loved it so much I ordered two more!! Sadly the fit was so different . The violet doesn’t have shoulder pads and fits me better all over. It’s very comfortable and a beautiful colour . I don’t normally go for classic blazer since leaving the corporate world but this is very casual. I’ve given it 3 stars for value based on full price

So very glad I finally bought the Chelsea blazer during the sale! I'm 5'2", 150 lbs, an inverted triangle body shape, and U.S. size 14 (UK 18) on top due to a large bust (38DD) and broad shoulders. On top of that I have a short torso, so blazer shopping is a challenge to put it lightly! The Chelsea is spectacular, though. Size LL is neither neat fitting nor oversized on me - its just right. It accommodates my shoulders and bust, and I can comfortably wear it buttoned or open. The top button sits perfectly under the bust, which prevents unsightly gaping when worn closed. The tailoring nicely skims over my body to show a shapely silhouette while hiding the lumps and bumps of middle age. I appreciate the soft tailoring in the back, too, so it doesn't look like a tent on me. The slightly flared hemline nicely balances my inverted triangle shape - it's not too much. As for the length, the bottom hits just past where my legs meet my torso, which looks fine. The arm length is slightly long for my petite scale but I generally push up the sleeves of my casual blazers anyway and the heavy knit really lends itself to that beautifully. The fabric makes this a comfy, yet smart addition to my wardrobe. 10 stars out of 5!!
I loved the colour, the square shoulders, neat angular lapels and luxurious lining. I wasn't so keen on the fabric, the rounded front edges or the flare round the hem. But I would have accepted these if the jacket looked good on me. Sadly though the shoulders and sleeves were a really good fit, size S on my 5' 2" frame, the jacket was too long for my short torso, so the waist and hips of the jacket didn't correspond to mine. A petite version might well have worked. Reluctantly returned.
I’ve never bought from Kettlewell before. Blazer is lovely and fits really well. I feel it’s a timeless piece which I will still have in 20 years.
Well I’m very bummed. I was excited to get this jacket in Nile Blue and was pleasantly surprised by the fabric but the sizing is not right. I wear an XS in most things Kettlewell. I just got a Chloe in XS and it fit perfect… so why an XS in this jacket is too small doesn’t make sense to me. It doesn’t have any give, and I cannot button it even if I wanted to. I am a small person with narrow shoulders- so who the heck is this designed to fit?? I like my clothes to be tailored and fitted- but this just looks off all around. Tight in shoulders back and waist, but long in the sleeves. Maybe I got a bad one… it’s just weird to me how much this doesn’t fit- when everything else in KW xsmall fits great. I’m hesitant to try again with a small. Maybe this just runs small in general.
