This is my second purchase of the Long Sleeve F/Wrap top. Having read a review praising the colour Damson I decided to try it myself, ordering a Silky Long Sleeve Crew top too. I was wary of ordering a top with a lower neckline, but wearing a crew neck thermal top (or other) underneath has worked for me. Nice colour and style but reveals too much at bust line so have had to use a pin at the cross over or my bra shows. I need LL for the general size but I don't have a large bust to make the material taut. I am finding that I don't choose it as often as I should owing to the modesty item but it is too snug to wear something under it. The damson was fab as a sultry winter, There was still some visible bra straps on the back but overall love the fit, colour and fabric. I am 5'7" and a size 20 and was glad to see this style in an XL. I had hoped the back had a slightly looser fit but this was the only criticism- Fi (25/03/2024)

The Bright Navy L/S Faux Wrap is my first purchase of this top. I’m pleased I can wear a crew neck l/sleeve top under for warmth, and not affect the look of it because of the stretch. I’ll be wearing a vest top/Mock Tee for modesty in Spring. I now have my eye on a couple of other colours, and hope they are restocked. I’m a new convert to these faux wrap tops. I love them! The fabric holds the color so well and the scrunching look on my soft straight body type is prefect. I’m still a bit undecided about sizing up and sizing down. The last two faux wraps , I ordered an L, my usual size. I think these are true to size, it all depends on how you feel in them. I love the Parakeet color and also purchased Aqua Surf. I thought the Aqua Surf color would be a bit more vibrant and deeper. But nonetheless, it’s a good color for this blue spring. This style was one of my first ever purchases from KW six years ago. I was searching for a top to work with my smart navy, and silver grey, office pencil skirts ..... I chose Hyacinth and a Duck Egg. They have always been complimented on. I have bought a number of others since but this time the purchase was to go with a KW Maxi Skirt in the same shade. Very flattering feminine shape. As many have stated, this top is lovely. It’s such a great staple to have in one’s wardrobe. I bought this in Aqua Surf and was a bit disappointed in the color, but not enough to return it. I LOVE these shirts! I have SEVEN of these. Seven! Some LL and some L as I'm losing weight. This style is very flattering and depending on how I position the V neck, I use a camisole under it or not. I love the double layer of fabric in the front. This is my first season buying Kettlewell, so I hope this style is offered in a short sleeve for summer weather. I did find that the soft white in L fits much smaller than my other colors in L. But that's ok, as I'll work into the size. If you are looking for soft white, I'd suggest sizing up.- Sue (17/12/2023)

A nice soft blue. Personally I find a faux wrap both comfortable and it suits my body. I will wear a cami top underneath and my pearls around my neck to complete the look and make me feel young and glamorous. On cold days it looks good with one of my cardigans. I’m a size 12 petite . This looked so good on the model in the pictures, but just didn't work for me. It was very fitted, and the cross-over was too low for my taste. I did try it layered over another top, but I felt it was too constricting at that point. This would probably work well on another body type. This is my third of these tops, but the first time I tried dropping from LL to L, as I had found that the LL ended up being a bit too 'biblical' as my mum would say (ie, 'lo and behold'). The L was perfect, so if I get more this season, I'll get the L again. Every other top, LL has been just right, so it's only this one. It sits better on the shoulders, too. The design never fails - and since I've not bought this style for a while I was interested to find that the fabric in this one is different and really lovely plus a new colour is always great to have. The are one of my favourite Kettlewell pieces, the are versatile, figure flattering and forgiving. They are also very easy to wear and excellent value for money. I have had some of mine for many years, they haven’t lost their shape or their beautiful colours. For the day/work I pop a camisole underneath, but for the evening I wear them on their own for a more glamorous look. I recently purchased this lovely top in Greek Blue while visiting the Colour Studio. The moment I clapped my eyes on this shade I was in love. The cut of the faux wrap is perfect allowing for extra ruching around the tummy if needed. Looks good on with a bit of adjusting, needs to be gathered as thin material will show lumpy jeans beneath, but it is long in the body so plenty of material to do this. I have recently become a convert of the faux wrap style. They are good value and very well made. I bought a 3/4 sleeve version a few seasons ago and really wore it a lot last summer and this got me hooked. I have a 34F chest and find V shape tops help balance my larger bust in proportion to the rest of my body. This style gives me options to wear the V higher, midway or lower (with a cami) which I love. The side ruching and double layer over my tummy are great and give me a definite waist that is not too tight. I have bought 4 long sleeve versions this season (stone, rust, grey teal and dark navy), and have 4 more pre-loved ones in the post as we speak. Next summer I hope to add more 3/4 sleeves, although the long sleeve can be easily worn pushed up the arm. If you are larger on top give this faux wrap a try - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!- Deborah (04/10/2023)

Dark olive is not a colour I would normally choose but I bought the dark olive skirt with stars in the sale ready for winter and they go together perfectly. I am confuse by this product line in general and the reviews. I was first attracted to the vibrant colors. I bought two tops that were pricier than I would normally pay for a t-shirt product. I washed both tops in cold water and a gentle laundry detergent. I hung the t-shirt to dry and laid out the wrap top on a netted drying rack. I was disappointed by the loss of luster in both the color and finish of the material. The V on the wrap top is now too low for my comfort level. I ordered these to take on a trip because I wanted to pack light with clothes that could be casual or dress up a bit. I left both at home. I'll wear them with jeans for a faded look now. I love everything about this shirt. The color is rich and beautiful. The style works great for me. Sometimes I put a camisole underneath so I don't show as much cleavage! The sleeve length is perfect. I am 5'6" with a short torso so the body length is a bit long but I can work with it. I am 150 lbs and the Medium fits well. Am new to kettlewell and this gorgeous wrap top is my new go-to feel good item! It's a huge step away from my go-to head to toe black and I've had such lovely compliments on the colour. The wrap style is super flattering for a large chest size and can be worn over a cami for those subtler days where less cleavage is required ;-) The ruching is perfect for hiding a bit of a tummy as well, perfect for romantics/princess. I will probably wear this one with a cami underneath as I have a slightly brighter colour that will go nicely with it in the original cami material which is thicker than the latest ones. The wrap is very comfortable and fits well on my narrow shoulders Shape is good for large bust. Sleeves are very long, down to my fingertips. I have to push them up to three quarters. The best thing is it is generous under the arms. A lot of long sleeved tops are tight fitting in this area. You can get away without a cami underneath as it doesn't gap. I had sent for matching cami which would have looked nice but it had to go back as it was not the same material or fitting as all my others. I would prefer the wrap to have three quarter sleeves which will probably be long on me but not so bunched up. (I am am just a little under 5ft). However, I will still consider sending for another wrap when a suitable colour becomes available.- Brenda (03/02/2023)

Thought I would have a problem with these wrap tops as I'm a proper pear. However, I love the style and the colour so took a chance, and, to my delight, it fits neatly on my narrow shoulders and also on the body, albeit this is because I am now wearing my bottoms high-waisted due to being a short-waisted petite. If I were to try and wear it longer, to cover the hips. I don't think it would work. This style is my absolute favorite top for work or leisure. With a larger bust, most faux wrap tops (for example those from a company whose name rhymes with Loden :) ) are flattering to the waist but don't cover my bra and must be worn with a cami underneath. KW's wrap to the rescue! It stays closed and looks more polished. I'm a 36E bra size and happily wear a LL. Well, what can I say about these wonderful tops? They are so flattering and I am probably its biggest fan owning 21! I like to wear mine with a silky or Hetta underneath because I don't like my chest uncovered. Others wear them as a standalone top or with a cami. I bought this to go over the rolled neck and Alice skirt in dark olive and sand stars. It is perfect with that particular and specific very dark shade of dark olive. It looks an outfit, got warmth, and for me breaks up the stars a bit so close to my face. As a word of warning, I find none match my Dark Olive palazzos at all of last season, which are much, much lighter and losdibly shpuld have been called mid-olive. You just have to live with that. Other pieces like the olive and lizzard grey tops of a while back are perfect for the trousers. I am 5ft 8ins tall, and the skirt is certainly a maxi beneath calf length but not ankle length, so ideal for me. Could be professionally shortened very easily. The quality of all three pieces is excellent, although I find the newer fauxs a bit thinner, and more so in lighter colours tgey can be somewhat see-through than they used to be. Each of these pieces can also be worn as separates. Just have to be careful that the skirt and top always get washed together to avoid one piece fading or looking more worn - that's the trick!- Una Barry (07/11/2022)

I am a big fan of these wrap tops ! I have several in various colours . I can wear the L which I have in several colours , but when my weight fluctuates , I wear my LL ones . ( I am between sizes and the LL is more forgiving ) . I really love the navy and bright navy , but thought that I would try the dark navy . I’ve had a couple of shortsleeved Kettlewell faux wrap tops for a while, and also the gorgeous merino faux wrap jumper (please bring them back!). I find a faux wrap really suits my figure (I’m slightly hourglass - I think Trinny and Susannah described this body shape as a vase!), and they work really well with the high waisted trousers and jeans that are back in fashion. This long sleeved faux wrap is just as good, and the Bluebell goes with many (I think six!) Kettlewell camis I’ve collected over the years. I found my usual Kettlewell size Medium was perfect. I really like this style and own several. I have size S from earlier seasons. Some — not all — of these turned out to be tight at the bust (I have 39” shoulder circumference, 34c bust). So this time I opted for Ms in blueberry and grey teal this time. The Ms are a tad loose but unlike my previous size Ss can comfortably accommodate a cami underneath. Grey teal doesn’t look like much online but ladies with grey-green eyes or an affection for labradorite with blue flash: this one’s for you! I bought three of these to wear to work. I like the colors. I am large breasted (38 DD) and my complaint is the V is very deep and plunging and also very wide so there is not much breast coverage. I don't want to have to wear a double shirt. On the model it looks far more modest. I guess it would fit that way if you were small breasted. It is snug without being clingy and it hides a not completely flat tummy. It is also longer than most tops, which I like especially with low cut jeans. The side ruching gives lovely shaping and fit through waist to top of hip, which suits my DC style. They aren't too low cut either (speaking as someone without a very ample chest area) - and that is a bonus. The style and colour of this faux wrap top are very flattering. As an Autumn, I chose Marine Navy and was delighted to discover a gorgeous warm, dark blue that suited and enhanced my skin tones. Most dark blue tops on the high street do little for me. The fabric is very good quality, very soft and drapes well. I'm 5'7" and between a size 10 and 12 and bought the small which fits well. Snug, but not too snug. The length of the arms and body are perfect. This looks and feels like a classy top and I will definitely be buying another. This is my second Long Sleeve Faux Wrap. I’d hesitated about buying them because most of the V-necks are too low to be worn alone for me and I don’t find the camisoles help much with that. However, having found the Pippa, I discovered I really liked wearing that with my Charcoal one and the colour of the Blue Spruce was just too tempting to resist. I’ve been wearing both a lot over the past few weeks as the weather gets colder and really love the way they look. They also work well with the round-necked silky and several of my slash-neck t-shirts, and the ruching gives a good shape. Absolutely love these tops, of which I now have three. I actually like the fabric very much - I find it it is softer and drapes much better than the cotton blends in other Kettlewell tops. The cut is flattering, and the cross over design somehow ameliorates the usual Kettlewell overly wide shoulder problem. I really like the body and arm length - at 5'8 this extra length is both practical and flattering. I am a size 10 and the small is big enough to layer another top underneath. Colour description is a bit misleading - this 'blue spruce' is a very 'flat' green. Not really my colour but will keep in a bid to widen the colour range in my wardrobe. Items poorly labelled ( only a basic ' kettlewell' name tag at the neck) so checked website for washing instructions. As the Kettlewell range seems to be a variation of synthetic fabrics, safe bet seems to be 30 ° for everything! Reply from Kettlewell - The care label should be sewn into the left side seam. We use Lenzing viscose jersey which is an excellent quality fabric originating from wood pulp.

I have bought two of these long sleeve faux wraps, and I am so pleased to have an option that has long enough body and sleeves, but is also not in the cotton modal fabric, which I have found to my cost many times has shrunk in the body length on every top I have bought, and really does not drape nicely on my frame. These faux wraps are in a fabric that is consistent and feels lovely - a silky soft feel, which sits well on the body without being clingy, and I am confident that these won't shrink. I was hoping to pick up some more colours in the 3/4 faux wrap option, but sadly they are in the cotton modal again so I won't be risking it. I'd been hesitant to try this style, but seeing how flattering they are on different body shapes among the Kettlewell Colour Club group members, prompted me to try. Deep Aqua is a gorgeous blue/green shade, and size L suits me very well as a UK 12/14. I wear with either a camisole, vest or silky scoop underneath. This is such a beautiful shade of blue and a flattering style of top. L is fine for me as a UK 12/14. I wear a vest top beneath which smooths out the back (I'm not accustomed to wearing close fitting). If I'm wearing with skinny jeans/ bootlegs I wear the top at full length but slightly ruched for a flattering drape across the tummy. With wide leg jeans, I tuck the top a couple of inches under itself (I don't suit tucked in) to shorten it. A very comfortable top to wear, so I've now bought another colour.- CLM (30/04/2021)

This is my third long sleeved faux wrap. They were a style I did not think would suit me but one of the joys of Kettlewell is that I have found returns straight forward so it means I can take a chance on a style and it's easy to send back. This one has stayed and multiplied! I'm 5'11 and a size 14 and the fit and length is great. Looks good tucked into trousers or out or with a skirt. Cami under it or not it's fab. The colour range is better in the 3 quarter length sleeved version. I'm not sure if a silky roll next underneath will feel too tight as I haven't tried it as yet. Gorgeous color with depth and richness; stands out from the crowd in the best way. Love this style. Needed to replace a worn-out similar top, and this one had such promise! However, the cut proved a challenge for my frame; given customer comments stating snug fit, I opted for Medium, given my slight "pear" figure spanning from mid-Small at bust into Medium range at hip, per size chart. The Medium fit well through midsection to hem, but was exceptionally oversized throughout the bust/armhole/shoulder areas, even for a Medium -- seemed cut for a Large up there. Hence the fewer stars for style and quality. Very sadly had to return this, as I liked the fabric, LOVE the color. PS: Generally, Kettlewell items are very overpriced at full retail; typically 35% to 50% greater than they ought to be.- Lisa (26/12/2020)

This is very smart, snug and warm. I am looking forward to wearing it a lot once the chillier weather sets in. I bought the Violet as it was prominently featured as soon as this top joined the collection and despite the fact that it was so beautifully showcased on a Summer - it works very well on a Clear Spring too! (But don't buy the tonal scarf - too soft!) I find it long enough to stay curved over my belly without too much repositioning and the sleeves are just the right length to my wrists. A very minor negative for me is that it requires a very moderate spin speed, leaving it very damp after washing. It doubled the time to dry indoors on an airer.- Michelle (10/11/2020)

I so wanted to love this top as it ticked all my boxes with regard to style & colour, which is gorgeous, deep & vibrant. But it just didn’t sit right on me. I’ve not worn a top like this before so wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It felt as though there was just a bit too much extra fabric in the ruching & I couldn’t get it to sit well over the waist of my trousers. I knew for winter I’d need to layer it, either with something underneath or a wrap/cardigan on top, but couldn’t quite get the hang of positioning a camisole underneath it or deciding what sort of wrap/cardi would work on top! I was on the hunt for a faux wrap black blouse to replace an old one I purchase from another retail store in the US (where I'm from). I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a classic faux wrap and when I saw it here in Kettlewell, I had to purchase it right away. I'm a size small (4 US); 5'-3" (petite); 34/27/36 and this blouse looks elegant, classic but yet so comfortable. The sleeves are a bit long for me, but not in a bad way...I like to push the sleeves up slightly anyway to show off my bracelets and a little skin. I liked the double layer - feels great. So, I bought the 3/4 wrap sleeve top (in XS) and the long sleeve (in Small) meaning to return one... as so often seems to happen with Kettlewell, I'm keeping both, plus everything else I ordered (to try)! I think this is a slightly tighter cut than the 3/4 sleeve (I am a size 10). I just discovered the camisole in a matching colour, which works perfectly ...I like the fact that the length is short, I thought it would be too long for me as I'm petite. For a curvy figure, these tops are ideal; now I want camisoles in every colour to match all my (many) wrap tops! I take a UK size 6-8, with a 30E bust, neat hourglass. The XS fits perfectly. I didn't think the 'Rocky Road' colour looked particularly inspirational online, but being a designated "warm" (CMB), I thought I would give it a try. In reality, it is a gorgeous, rich colour that goes with neutrals and more vibrant colours alike. I don't feel it is so low that it needs a camisole underneath (I wish Kettlewell would do more of these lower necklines - they really aren't that low and there's barely any cleavage on show!) Could be worn with a contrasting camisole underneath for warmth, as an alternative to a jumper. Really happy with this purchase.- Mrs L W (07/10/2020)

I am a size 12 and bought the medium in this top which fits well. It is flattering but can reveal a little too much cleavage at times (I don't want to wear a camisole underneath as this would make the chest area look a bit too bulky)! Overall, I am pleased with the top.- Fiona S (06/10/2020)

Quite a tight fit across the back and I think even if I went up a size the style emphasises my bust too much. So, sadly I will return this. However, the quality of the fabric is great and the colour is beautiful; clear and fresh. My second top from Kettlewell, and once more I was not disappointed. Ordered a skirt as well, but that came later. However, I found the top was the EXACT colour (Pink Fizz - but I would describe it as light Coral, myself!) found in a skirt I already had. I have a few Kettlewell faux wrap tops, in different sleeve lengths, and I'm delighted with this new one. Great colour, true to the catalogue photo, lovely flattering shape on me ('slim pear'); looks good with black, navy or charcoal wide leg trousers, skirts and jeans. I wear it with a plain cami (in black, grey or fuschia pink) underneath, and it's very cosy and comfortable. Washes well and holds it shape. Definitely smart enough for Zooming. Lovely colour (hope you'll do a maxi skirt in it!) although is a lot deeper than the Beetroot slub top sold previously. Fabric very comfortable. Layers well over silky roll necks and Hetta tees to make a smart work outfit (the cross over sits too low on me to wear without something underneath). The faux wrap is lovely. The neckline is just right so it can be worn with or without a cami. It has slightly more ruching than the wrap that went with the vinny skirt, which works well with the long sleeves and the luxurious fabric. I LOVE the colour, fitted style and long sleeves of this top! Unfortunately, the crossover and ruching did not sit well on me - too much material somehow - so I reluctantly had to return it. The only other long sleeved top in violet has a cowl neck (same problem for me with the low neck and too much material), so I decided to exchange for a Cosy V-neck in another Spring colour, which I am waiting for to arrive (with anticipation!). Utterly scrumptious! hurrah for long sleeves in the faux wrap. The quality is even better, if that is possible. The Violet colour is delicious, I have tried it with a Pink Fizz cami which works well. I ordered this in Golden Yellow and Cornflower blue. Both are beautiful colours. This is a lovely smarter staple style and it's great to have a long sleeve version for those of us who feel the cold. Please keep both 3/4 and long sleeve options available throughout the year. It would be great to see more long sleeve styles, as well as more v-necks and scoop necks in this type of flattering fit for us hourglasses, pears and larger busted ladies.- Maria (11/09/2020)

I ordered this one in Small in Violet - a lovely colour! Unfortunately I'm returning this wrap top which is a shame because it really is such good quality and beautifully made shape - highly recommend this new long sleeve version. I'm sadly not a very good shape for the top!! I thought the ruched side would help to hide a bit of a lockdown weight gain problem but I found the double layer at the front (from the wrap) didn't 'hold me in' as I'd hoped. I'm going to order something with a more floaty / skimming style while I try and work on the tummy area. Lovely top and the colour is stunning., I am a vibrant autumn. The fit is very good, a little long in the sleeves and body, but then I am petite. Nothing that I cannot get around. I opted for the S in this style as it was fitted, I am an 8 and didn't want anything super clingy. If you want very fitted then go for the XS. The long sleeved version fits differently from the 3/4 sleeve which is a slightly more generous fit. I am returning my S for XS in that particular style.
