I already own 5 everyday Tee and look firward to buying more of them as I love the style. Alas, Kettlewell let the Winters down once more. Hardly any new colours for Winters , unlike the other seasons, and no deep and dark sultry winter tones. I desperately need a summer Tee in deep claret. Love this t-shirt. Good quality fabric with a bit of stretch, and a nice slim fit but not too tight around the stomach. I usually wear a size 6 or 8 and got this in XS. I also bought it in Confetti but that colour was a tighter fit so I got it in size S. I'm 5'2" and the length is good - I can get away with it tucked or un-tucked. Good basic cotton with 3 per cent elastane tee which fitted in my usual size L. I was however looking for 100 per cent cotton tee shirt without the addition of elastane, modal, viscose or plastic fibres (such as acrylic, polyester, polyamide, nylon) with short or full length sleeves, round neck or shallow v-neck but unfortunately I seem to be having increasing difficulty in finding such basic style 100 per cent cotton tees?- Anne (20/08/2023)

Early this year I found myself searching everywhere for plain t-shirts - which you’d think would be easy but everything seemed to have sleeves that were too long or a neckline that was too low for me. I initially bought the Kettlewell Everyday Cotton Tee in size MEDIUM (I’m 12-14) and it was on the tight side, but I still wore it. I realised after a few wears that it was amazingly good quality compared to my other tees. So I ordered again in size LARGE and it was perfect. I now have quite a collection of these in white, navy, cobalt, sea green, purple and fuchsia. I love that the sleeves are short, the neckline high, they skim my tummy without clinging (in this size), they’re just the right length and the fabric is beautifully smooth and comfortable - oh and they wash like a dream. I don’t have time for gentle hand washes, these come out of the washing machine looking good as new. I’ve bought the Cotton V Neck tee too, also in LARGE, and it’s equally good. Finding these super plain t-shirts means I can buy long patterned skirts so I’m really delighted.- Christina (01/08/2023)

I'm a Dark Autumn, and it's really challenging to find essential white t-shirts in anything but plain white. I'm always on the lookout for a softer creamier ivory shade, and the Soft White here is PERFECT. Living in South Texas, I would very much appreciate a lower % of Spandex in the fabric mix -- even 3% can "heat up" an otherwise perfectly comfortable cotton top. Also please expand beyond LL sizing as Cotton WILL shrink even with the most careful laundering method.- BJ (26/06/2023)

Just taken delivery of the everyday cotton T in Smokey Orchid. This is a fabulous colour, quite unusual. I am a size 14 so had a large . Certainly need this size. My only quibble is the length when worn is much longer than 24.5 inches. However with a belt and a French pleat it looks great on me. Yes I think I shall over time have more colours. I’m gradually replacing all my tees with the Every Day cotton tees . I think I have in most of the summer colour now. I size up to to LL (I’m a standard UK14) for a comfier fit. I Wear under the super soft sweat shirt for warmth or with my favourite white jeans during the summer months. Love the sea green, watermelon and navy in particular. Beautiful colour and blends wonderfully with my other brown summer colours. I have about 7 of these tops now - wear under jumpers in cold weather and also great summer tops. I’m between M and L in Kettlewell but need an L in this style otherwise too tight at bust and hips. Length is low hip on me - but I’m very short waisted! This is a well-constructed shirt with a very nice material; however, this colour watermelon is far too warm for most summers! It appears orange and is most unbecoming. It is much warmer than CMB watermelon and is not a good match to HOC coral red. This may work well for springs, though. Unfortunately, I have to return it.- Marguerite (31/03/2023)

I’m new to Kettlewell, and I’m finding the discrepancy in sizing between items extremely frustrating. I am having to order multiple sizes and keep returning things. I’ve just had delivered a Medium in Everyday T - too small, and a medium in Venus Linen top - swamps me! I have a medium in Lulu Layered top, and Rachel jacket (a bit on the tight side when done up), but needed a L in silky V neck! I’m a size 12/14. Why o why can’t Kettlewell do as Seasalt do and put the actual bust measurement of the GARMENT! Then you can easily compare it to something you already have. I have never had to return anything to Seasalt on a sizing issue! So simple!- Susan (27/02/2023)

I wasn’t too sure about the Everyday Cotton Tee in Soft White at first. I ordered my normal size M and also L as I thought a looser fit might work for a more contemporary look. The L did not fit on my shoulders, and I wondered whether the M was too close fitting. However with a T-shirt bra that’s close to my skin tone, the M in Soft White isn’t to see through. The length is useful - it looks good as layer coming out from underneath a shorter jumper. This simple T-shirt is my favorite staple from Kettlewell. I hope new colours or old classics will return. I wish for more pure type colors, because the mix types are a bit of a hit or miss. Macadamia is my new favourite neutral colour. It has just the right amount of brightness and warmth for a Spring. The sizing seems to have changed a little bit from a couple years ago? The new fit feels a bit tighter around the shoulders and chest. I think I have to size up to M with these T-shirts in the future.- Anne (04/02/2023)

Plus the fab choice of colours makes kettlewell my go-to for tees. I have several colours and wear them all year round, on their own in warm weather and layered up in winter. I find these crew neck t shirts useful for layering in the winter under a v neck jumper. In the spring/summer I wear v necks. I love this tee and this is the second one I have bought. Yes it's very expensive for a simple no-frills tee shirt but having tried other brands that lose their shape after washing, I decided to go for another Kettlewell one. I'm very glad I did, the fabric is good quality, it holds its shape and the white one doesn't show what is underneath! It's a great little shape, crew neck is just right and semi fitted that gives a lovely modern fit. I usually wear a size 10 on top and the small size is just right.- Mary (01/06/2022)

I was hesitant to spend this much on a t-shirt, but decided to give it a try just because I could get some colors. I am: 5-5', 140 lbs, 36A I am often between a small and a medium, 6 or 8 depending on the manufacturer. I purchased two mediums and one small shirt. The small was just too small, so medium is a better fit. I'm thankful that the returns are free. Assuming these hold up in the wash and over time, I'll buy more.- Ali (23/04/2022)

I hesitated to buy this t shirt as it's far more expensive than I would usually pay, but I loved the macadamia colour so much I paid out. The t shirt is made of lovely material and is very well made, fitting perfectly. I am now a convert and have ordered another colour and will build up my collection over time. These are perfect for me as a tall size 16 with a large bust. The short sleeves stop above the bust and draw attention to the shoulders, not the bust, as so many short sleeved tee shirts do. They are long enough which many Kettlewell items are not. I love the colours, of course, (Sea Blue, True Blue and Red Pear), and may buy more. Ideally these would be 100% cotton and contain no elastane which I dislike as it tends to cling too much, but that is the only negative as far as I am concerned. I would really appreciate Kettlewell doing these with long sleeves at this length and in 100% cotton.- Liz (01/04/2022)

I already have a bubblegum Everyday Cotton T, the first item I ever bought from Kettlewell, which I love & is a staple of my summer wardrobe. I love the colour French grey & thought this T in that colour would be the perfect addition. I ordered my usual size (small). Sadly, whether it’s my shoulders that have got wider or the the width of the T across the shoulders has got a bit smaller, the shoulder seam sits just inside the edge of my shoulders which makes the short, almost cap sleeves stick out. Love the colour, the body of the T is perfect for my slim size 10 (which doesn’t like anything too clingy!), lovely soft fabric…. As a sultry winter natural gamine, 5’ 6”, I have bought the everyday cotton t-shirt in XS in cassis & fuchsia & love wearing them all year round for pops of my best colours, either on their own with shorts in the summer or with cropped cardigans/jumpers/ jackets when it’s colder like now. I love the cotton nature of the t-shirt & the neat fit of them & would love to see them in more of the deeper winter colours like Carmine, indigo, deep purples, navy. I have also recently bought 2 of the everyday cotton t-shirts in size S for my 96 year old Mum! I really like the style but I'm sure that this Everyday Tee in Salmon fits tighter than the other two I have from previous years (in Lime and Bright Navy). It just does not sit so well as the others - it seems to pull on my shoulders and (not very big) chest and show the slight bulges around my bra straps at the back. I have these in just about every color. from previous years. I am an autumn. The fabric is of medium weight, the colors are pretty, and it washes well. I am 5'5", and usually take a UK 8-10 (the larger size to accommodate bust size). I ordered an L, and would recommend that if you are between sizes, to order up. My only problem is that these T-shirts are quite long. I LOVE this style. I have narrow shoulders and a 37bust / 32waist and the medium fits amazingly. I don’t usually like crew necklines but this crew is a bit open, showing just a touch of collarbone. Fabric has just enough stretch and feels sturdy yet lightweight, like it will stand a lot of wear without getting those little holes (I hope!!) However a closer look at the photos and the video made me think it was worth a try as it looks slightly scooped and when I compared it to the semi scoop three quarter sleeve, which I think used to have more of a scoop, there was no difference. This is SOOOO useful! I want to get one in every colour, but the soft white is especially fab because it goes with literally everything without washing me out. It's basically a really nice version of a regular t-shirt. I generally need a relaxed fit to hide my lumps and bumps, but this t-shirt is semi-fitted and still skims over them nicely. It looks great tucked and untucked, and the sleeves are short - almost cap sleeve length, but not too much. The material is quite thin - you can see the outline of my bra if you're looking really carefully, but not so thin I'd be wary of wearing it on its own. Tempted by the colour to purchase this T shirt! Hope Kettlewell will offer other styles in Musk Rose as it's a lovely shade and I would like a half-sleeve in this colour! I am a size 12 and bought a M which fits perfectly across the shoulders. It is a looser fit than the half sleeve T I purchased at the same time and I much prefer the extra half inch wider in the torso. Haven't yet worn it having only tried it on so cannot comment on how well it launders, hence the star rating. I am a spring - and this is a great colour. I am always attracted by blue colors but when I wear a green it always looks better. This green is fantastic! The fabric has changed from ones I have before. There is less cotton in it and more stretch. Not sure how it will feel in the hot weather. I bought a white even though I am a spring because everyone needs a white tee, and the soft white is too creamy for my liking. The fit is good although because I am just 5ft it is too long for me and will need to be tucked in to what ever I wear it with. The colour isn't as good a white as I was expecting not a really solid white, it has a bit of blue in it which I always feel makes the colour look not as classy as some whites, but that is just a personal comment. Reply from Kettlewell - If you find the Soft White a bit creamy to start, wash it with normal detergent and it will lose the creaminess but still keep more warmth to it than the pure White which has been formulated for cool skin tones. Similarly if you like the creaminess in Soft White then it is important to use detergent specially produced for colours which is gentler.

However, I kept the white one but returned 'White Petal' because I thought the colour was neither one thing or another. It just looked rather washed out. M size was good for me. Nice quality and good to see the pale colours are not see through as so many other brands t-shirts can be. I totally agree with the previous review. Why are there no cotton shirts this year? I was so disappointed that the “Fine Cotton Tee” short and long sleeve options from last year weren’t brought back. They were comfortable for summer and washed well. I don’t need stretchy material in all of my clothes. I liked the aqua color of this top so I tried it, and it is a lovely color. But sadly I have gone ahead and purchased the majority of my Spring shirts from other sources this year, as I was able to find the colors I like in 100% cotton.- Jan (29/04/2019)

I bought the yellow and Tangelo - both colours I love. However, I am slightly disappointed that these are not pure cotton and have that bit of elastane which makes them more clingy. I have a number still of the old pure cotton Kettlewell t-shirts and I find these more comfortable to wear in hot summers abroad. I will be taking these new ones away with me in the next week on vacation - so will test their viability in a hot climate. Colours are vibrant and quality is the standard Kettlewell - excellent. Love these t-shirts. The fit is excellent. I’m 5’1” and bought the medium size. I like t-shirts that are not too short in the body as they ride up. These are just the right length, fit nicely into jeans or under jumpers. I bought the warm white and moss, the colours are true to the photos on the website. The fabric is lovely, soft, and not too clingy or baggy. Can be dressed up with a jacket or casual with a cardigan. A great product and will be buying more of this type of top. Bought two of these t-shirts, moss and warm white. Fabulous fit and lovely autumn colours. I’ve bought many other Kettlewell items and all are good quality, great colours and fit really well. The fabric in the t-shirts is soft and washes well. I’ll be buying more t-shirts and some camisoles if they’re as good as the t-shirts! A nicely styled and flattering tee and the blush is such a fresh spring colour for Autumns. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I would love to see this style in a looser fit as I only will wear this tight a shirt as an underlayer. I almost sent this tee shirt back when I realised it contained Lycra. I hate the figure clinging look that Lycra gives. But I had ordered size large and this fitted nicely. The shape was exactly what I wanted, and I have ordered another. My only quibble is that it is too long for me. I know Kettlewell doesn't do Petite, but can a short drawstring at the sides be fitted so that short people can ruche the sides?- Stella Spary (04/06/2018)

I was pleased to find this t-shirt in 'iced hyacinth,' one of the pale colours that we 'Winters' can wear. The colour and size (I'm a size 12 and ordered a Medium) are perfect and it will be useful under a multi coloured jacket as well as under purple and navy. Lovely t-shirt with a genuine crew neckline (not at all scooped). Great weight and fit particularly if you are petite - I am 5'1" and a size small. Very good quality and can be worn casually or dressed up with scarf and necklace. Lovely colours but it would be nice to have a true white option as well. I bought the blush - it is a lovely colour and I will wear it under the coral merino crossover jumper. I bought the medium and I am a size 12 - 14. Absolutely love this! Was looking for a t-shirt that was not thin slub type material as they fall apart on me after two wears and look old. The thickness of the cotton in this is fab, feels good on and it feels like it will keep its shape but not frumpily so. The shape is great, I tried L and LL as a rather busty size 14 to 16 and kept the larger as its more forgiving on my midriff but shows off my waist. Perfect length as can wear with jeans, not too long. The blush is lovely and winter white shade is better than I thought it would be. This literally is the PERFECT white tee for me as it’s a gorgeous warm white, the cut is perfect - fitted but not clingy and it’s long enough to tuck into jeans. I was worried it was going to be too short in the body for me but actually it's a great length - can be tucked in and pulled out a little over skirts and jeans.
