SIZE: LL COLOUR: Bright Teal
I ordered the semi scoop in Bright Teal and also in Teal . I love both colours and wear them depending on how I am feeling. The teal is more restful for some days . I buy the LL because it is not too fitted around the middle and it does the job of concealing the post meno tum really well , without looking baggy and shapeless . The semi scoop is a lovely neckline and low enough , but not too low , making it good for different seasons . I like the fabric in this top and find it better than the new very thin fabric of the Classic V . It feels more substantial and yet is still a fine , non- bulky fabric . I purchased the Semi Scoop 3/4 Sleeve in Navy in Size L. I like it because it is a cotton containing fabric, which makes it seem more substantial than a modal. The semi-scoop is a very nice, higher neckline for fairskinned women who like to add in a little sun protection with their choice of clothing. SIZE: Medium COLOUR: Cassis
I bought this Semi Scoop top in Cassis as a coordinating colour in particular, to wear with my F&Flare Rose Ditsy skirt. I have a few of these tops, and tend to wear them on ‘warmer’ spring/autumn days. The fabric is quite fine. I am a big fan of the Semi Scoop tops! I love the neckline, length and fit. I am so appreciative that the fabric has not changed on this style. I hope that it will stay just like it is. I love to wear these with skirts, pants or shorts. It looks great under a jacket or cardigan as well. I'm between an XS and Small in KW tops and size up to a small for this style.- KH (25/03/2024)

SIZE: Medium COLOUR: Mint Ice
Big disappointment because the colour (Mint Ice) is perfect. My measurements are the same as given for the Medium size but it is much too clingy and see-through. I then ordered the Large but it's still too clingy and see-through.. I wouldn't wear it without a jacket over it. Both returned.- Jennifer (22/03/2024)

I bought this top in pink fizz, true red and bright teal in size large. I wear a 32G bra. I am 5’ 2 1/2” and weigh 135. Anything that is fitted I order size Large. Anything that is relaxed I order a medium. The colors are point on….bright and clear. I love the fabric because it is not thin and clingy. It’s probably one of my favorites from Kettlewell. This is my favourite Kettlewell top. Classic style, comfortable, not clingy or see through. It’s a good length for me being 5’2”. I’m normally a size 14/16 and the LL is perfect as I’m quite busty. I particularly like the three quarter sleeves as I find the long sleeves are always too long on me. I have this style in many different colours and look forward to wearing my latest addition in Ice Lemon. I would love it if Kettlewell did it in Regatta Blue or True Blue.- AE (28/02/2024)

This top has a nice fitted shape but is not clingy, especially around the waist area. I'm 5'2" and it is a good length for me as well meaning I could tuck it in or wear it untucked. I like the semi scoop neck because as a petite person most scoop necks are too low on me. The fabric is a lovely thickness with stretch. I will buy other colours.- SR (01/02/2024)

Still my favourite Kettlewell top. Simple not fussy, fits just nicely and always feel good on. For a robust size 14, L is perfect. Delighted to see it in cassis.....would love to see duck egg blue reappear for next season. Still wearing the ones I bought two years ago so they last well if looked after. Bought the Pink Ice in S. I normally wear size 10 or S, in some continental sizes 8 or XS. The semi scoop is perfect and the material is very nice, The ice pink is very pale but a nice alternative to white. However as the top itself was far too slim/skinny fitting & too long and in contrast the sleeves quite wide I had to return it.- Martha (21/07/2023)

I ordered this top because I liked the very pretty shades it came in and Chalk Violet is lovely. There are a number of other colours it come in which are also very nice for summer. I buy Medium in this style, because it fits me better; it has shape but skims the body, and is longer through the torso. No sausage casings for me, lol. Lovely deep rich colour (dark olive) and good quality top and I love the 3/4 sleeves. Just found it a little narrow across the shoulders which is not a problem I often have with tops. It makes it stick up a bit on the top of the shoulder seam rather than sitting flat which is a shame, but fine with a jacket or cardigan.- Christina (25/05/2023)

I love the silkies and already have 2 semi scoops. This is true to size and not too long to tuck into trousers! (@ 5'1" that is a bonus!) Sadly the colour of this semi scoop is way different from the SRN purchased earlier. It does not have the same beautiful intense solour bit looks pretty washed out. This is such a beautiful, hard-working top. I love the vivacity of the stripes and patterns but repeatedly come back to the simplicity and elegance of the semi-scoop - it just looks so good! I wear it with a pair of navy trousers, my moss-green belt and the silver feather necklace and feel ready for anything and anywhere. Pink clay is a very successful coral pink and I love it. It’s a pretty colour with more depth than Rosewood, and softer than Coral which in some styles can appear too clear for me, a soft Autumn. I didn't plan to buy one of these this season but was swayed by the Pink Clay for autumns. It's a very pretty colour, between coral and rosewood, but also neutral enough to go with many colours. I already have this top in lime, buttermilk, heliotrope and camel, so it's a favourite of mine. I love the near fit and the fact that it's a bit smarter than the average t shirt. For me this is my most worn piece of KW. I prefer the sleeve length as don’t need to shorten and it’s versatility. Can be worn with most things, jeggings, trousers, skirts, jeans so a real work horse. Even layer it on cold days. Washes perfectly, no ironing and packs into an envelope. I delayed buying this top for a long time, although I was keen to try the Oxford blue. Styling seemed plain and I thought the semiscoop neckline was a bit of a compromise, but I was wrong! Love the colour and fabric and the fitted style with 3/4 sleeves feels rather chic. Unfortunately, like an earlier reviewer, I was disappointed to find the right shoulder a bit pointy, but thought this would sort itself out in the wash. It has improved, but still pulls a bit from the neckline across to the right shoulder. I've not had this problem with other Kettlewell tops, including several silky scoops and pima tees. I am still wearing it, as it is so pretty, but not for "best". Not sure whether to try this style again.- Helen (08/02/2023)

May want to size up in this one as it is snug and the fabric has less stretch than the silky tops fabric. I took my usual large but I could have gone to an LL fairly easily I think. I like room in my tops and I prefer comfort over everything else. At least this top isn't overly long like so many Kettlewell tops are, so it looks rather smart. For reference, I'm 5'3" and many Kettlewell tops are mini-skirt long on me - very frustrating. Petite options would be so very welcomed!!! A brilliant piece for me with the 3/4 sleeves which on me are between 3/4 and full length and a lovely neckline which is not too high but also not too low, which is especially good between seasons and always wearable apart from in the extreme heat . Not often a problem when you live in a Scotland ! The navy is a useful colour as a base to wear with more colourful items . The semi scoop is a lovely top with a really nice neckline , not too low for the colder months , but not as high as a crew neck. The fabric is lovely and washes well . I am a 14/ 16 and find the large fits but I prefer the slightly looser and more flattering ( and forgiving) fit of the LL in this top . The powder blue is a great colour for me - a cool dominant sweet pea summer. I usually wear XS/S in KW and I like the fit of the S in this particular style. The fabric is lightweight but substantial and isn’t clingy. I have this top in several colours. The powder blue is a great colour for me - a cool dominant sweet pea summer. I usually wear XS/S in KW and I like the fit of the S in this particular style. The fabric is lightweight but substantial and isn’t clingy. I have this top in several colours. Unfortunately the fit on me isn’t quite right, if I raise my arms and put them down again, the shoulders stay up in the air and don’t move with me! I don’t know if it’s because I sized up. I didn’t want it to be skin tight so I got M instead of S, which is my usual size. I think the S would have been too tight across the tummy though. I’m normally a UK size 10. I have bought this top before. It's a good staple. This time I bought it in mustard, a fantastic deep rich yellow which looks good with my amber wrap, bought a long time ago. I like the fabric. For me it's much better than the clingy silky fabric used for a lot of the Kettlewell tops. Personally I would prefer long sleeves to the three quarter. I already left my review on how this is my fav tee but I wanted to add how much I adore this color! I always admire the color Lime in clothing but it does not love me. Way too warm and heavy for my complexion sadly. But this color is a great Lime alternative for this Blue Spring! It is so clear, bright and cheerful. My skin glows and my eye color lights up when wearing this top. Works seamlessly with all my other Blue Spring colors like Navy's, Violet and Poppy.. it even works with my warmer reds and Chinese Blue! I really love the Semi Scoop 3/4 sleeve tops! I love the neckline and the fact that the front is a single layer of such soft, comfortable fabric. You can dress this top up so easily or wear more casually. It's my favorite top to wear with a skirt. Very pleased with the 3/4 sleeve semi scoop. The neckline is just right. So many brands only have either a low scoop or a round neck and this is a good in between curve. The fabric is firm and substantial and holds its shape well. I am size 16 and the LL is a good fit. This Semi Scoop is in the Darcey fabric, which is my absolute favourite as it is so smooth and such a good fit. I also like the Everyday fabric for the same reason, but am less keen on the softer Pima and Cosy Cottons - they are lovely to touch, but a bit shapeless on me and don't wear as well. Thanks for bringing back lovely Ice Lavender, which is such a great summer colour for Winters (if that makes sense!) I returned Powder Blue because it was not icy enough for me, but it may work on other Winters. This is a good mid-season style - not too high, not too low and great 3/4 sleeves. Really pleased with this top. I wanted something in Red Pear and my first choice was out of stock so thought I'd give this a try. The neck is a little higher than I normally choose but works really well especially under a V neck jumper. The colour is absolutely beautiful - I worried it would be a bit soft for me as an autumn leaf but it really works beautifully with moss and other autumn colours. I have bought this top before, but in paler colours, and I have to say that to have such an expanse of a very bright colour, because the neckline is higher, is a bit overwhelming. The top is beautiful quality, as always with Kettlewell, but this is not my favourite top. I should have bought this colour top with a lower neckline. A very soft material, not warm but can be used as a layer in colder weather. I have found mine very useful under a light coloured cotton jumper as it does not wrinkle. I also like the fact that, although a light colour, the material is thick enough to stop your bra from being on show if worn alone! I (too) have bought many of this style in various colors within the past several months; in my colors of Clear Spring. These serve me nicely - not only as layering pieces, but also as "stand alones." I am a busty size 10 to 12, on a very slim frame at 5'7" and the M fits me well in the shoulders and length. I very much appreciate the semi-scoop which aligns with my need to stay modest as a high school biology teacher, and the 3/4 sleeves stay out of my way. I have bought many of this style over the years, and the fabric they are made from, the sizing and the size of the scoop have changed over the years. I bought a number of these for my Clear Winter colouring (true teal, iced aqua, mole, tango red, silver and fuchsia) in L. I had to order them all over again because size L is now too big - I'm a size 14 with a little too much round the tummy, but with narrow shoulders, and I find now that size M is perfect. And somehow I didn't take to the tango red nor the silver, but that's just my colouring. So all the Ls went back, and I'm swapping the tango red for pansy - can't wait. These are such useful tops, especially in the in-between period before we launch into summer. I love the fact that it's only a semi-scoop), now I'm retired and feeling the cold at home, I don't want a lot of neck showing, and don't always want to wear a scarf. I'd love it if this came as a long-sleeved top too, I'd buy all the colours again! What’s not to like? I love 3/4 sleeves and even though it’s only a semi not full scoop neck, it still looks fine on my full hour glass figure. I bought LL to accommodate my 40 inch chest and it’s a loose fit elsewhere which is fine for me as I don’t like clingy clothes. I am surprised at how much I like this top! I don't normally go for necklines as high as this, but actually, it looks great. I have found for me though that it's good to soften the neckline with a necklace, and I have one that just sits around the edge of the neckline. The colour is lovely - I am a winter and it's just perfect, although I can wear some summer colours also. I love these tops and have several, the pretty Cerise Pink being a very welcome and flattering addition to my Summer season collection. I like the semi scoop with the colour coming close to my face; the semi fitted shape, which helps my pear shape to look more hourglass without clinging. And I like the 3/4 sleeves as they can't then be too long and they also allow me to see my watch and bracelet (the only jewellery, plus rings & belts, we can see for ourselves, earrings and most necklaces and brooches being out of sight for the wearer). I am too old to look good in sleeveless or cap sleeves and 3/4 sleeves are right for all occasions. I've normally bought LL as it's the size for my 40" bust, but I have narrow shoulders and the stretch in this 39" L size is working fine for me, will try again. I bought my first Semi Scoop in July (in Silver) and just ordered a second one (in Navy). I am petite with an athletic, hourglass figure so I love anything fitted; it shows off my curves! The fabric feels soft, yet substantial. I haven't worn mine yet since it's very hot and humid where I live (New Jersey) but I am sure these tops will wash as well as my other Kettlewell items. This top didn't quite work for me. I'm a bit chesty and while a Kettlewell "scoop" is quite flattering to my shape, the "semi-scoop" just seemed to emphasize my bust. It's also quite a fitted style, a bit unforgiving of lumps and bumps. Other Kettlewell mediums have been great, including the half sleeve scoop, but this one is just a bit too snug. I would have preferred a top in pure cotton rather than synthetic fabrics as they tend to be too clingy and for this reason I have given 4 stars for quality. I wanted to find a top that could be dressed up or down and was not disappointed in this 3/4 sleeve semi scoop neck top. The colour (mole) is really versatile and the quality is great. I might size up to a L next time I buy one of these though as it is just a little bit tight for just wearing with casual jeans (my main staple attire). I'm a size 10/12 and 159cm (about 5' 3") on a good day, so the neat and fitted look and shorter length are proportionate to my frame. The cotton / modal fabric feels soft and comfy. I wore it with a Kettlewell dark olive Willow scarf, dyed-olive trousers (where oh where can I buy simple straight dark green trousers?) and brightened the look with a splash of orange vest peeping through at the edges, orange earrings and coral shoes. I love this semi scoop three quarter sleeve top and want to get more. It is expensive but worth it. It is a medium weight, high quality jersey, good to wear on its own but also perfect for layering. My only problem is that I do not find the sizing realistic- I am a standard size 14 but sometimes wear a 16 top if I want a looser top. The Large was absolutely skin fit but the LL fits nicely. I couldn't solve the issue of my bra making ridges in the fabric (a t-shirt style bra), except by wearing a vest underneath in which case I'd boil at work - so they had to go back. Live in this top! Love the shape, length, material thickness and simplicity. I'm not keen on your double fronted tops as I feel a bit frumpy in them and much prefer this, it's so easy to wear. Unfortunately I did not like the shade of pink , even though a Winter, so sent it back. Ordered cashmere rose, sea blue and Beaujolais - the colours are astounding, so beautiful. The LL is perfect for my tall size 16, and the semi scoop just sits in the right place - but - they are far too thin. I hoped that the new season tops would have more substance, but they have not. Every lump and bump is outlined. Every seam on my bra and trousers shows through . When I slide my hand under the cashmere rose top, the white tips of my finger nails are visible - that's how thin they are. I chose this Semi Scoop 3/4 Sleeve in Desert Rose because I was looking for a pretty pink that would suit my Autumn colouring. I usually wear tans, creams, greens and golds so it was an experiment to see if the colour suited me. It does! It's a lovely soft dusty rose pink which looks perfect. The semi scoop neckline is ideal for winter months and the 3/4 sleeves are perfect for me. I do like the soft texture of this 47% cotton/modal mix fabric which also has plenty of stretch. Yes, I completely agree with the positive comments, the colours are out of this world, the fit excellent LL on a size 16, neckline in the right place, but the soft silky fabric is far too thin. At this price the fabric should be thicker or at least lined in the front. I can see stitching on my bra, stitching on my trouser pockets , the belt loops . The exception was the ice pink, disappointing as the shade was nothing like the lovely icy pink of my swatch, another reviewer described this colour elsewhere as "old knicker pink".. I've just received my ice blue and pink ice tops, the pink one to replace an old one that had had its day! I much prefer the new ones, the semi-scoop neckline is not as low as before, and now that I'm older and feel the cold more, I prefer this style. I think the tops are also a bit longer than before. Kettlewell tops are not inexpensive, but they do keep their colour and shape so well. It's great that there are pale colours available for us Winters, I'd also like to have an icy lilac, icy green and an even icier blue available, I want more pale colours to choose from than just white! Liked the quality of the fabric, hope it washes well and keeps it’s bright white colour. Felt it was a little too long in the body (I’m only 5’1) and would have preferred a more boat shaped neckline. I love these-particularly the neckline which has just the right depth-not too high, not too bare. I'm disappointed that so many of the colours are out of stock and should like to see emerald and black.I hope you are going to re-stock - these are such a stylish useful staple. I ordered size small and when I got it out of the bag it was huge. I measured my usual Kettlewell tops and they are all under 36 inches for size small. This was over 40 inches. How is this small? I looked like I was wearing a top 3 sizes too big or even 4 sizes!. It was also way too long. Please offer Garment measurements to save me wasting time on purchasing monster sizes claiming to be small. This would also be useful for large ladies who want to know exactly the size so they can have loose or tight. The model looks like the to fits her but since we have no idea what size she is or what size she is wearing this would not help.- Helen George (28/11/2017)
I ordered 2 of these tops and love them, particularly love the semi scoop neckline as I find it very flattering. The material is good quality, not too thin; although fitted, they are not “too fitted” (I don’t have a particularly small waist) I am a size 12 verging towards a 14 but the 12 is fine for me. I have worn them with jeans to add a pop of colour and they also look great teamed with smarter trousers, jewellery etc. or with a suit. Very versatile top, I know I will get a lot of wear from them, and will no doubt be ordering some more in the winter colours when some new colours come out- Joanna Smith (23/11/2017)

I have this top in so many colors that I am shamed by my greed! I sent for this one because I needed to match a handbag...a gift from my daughter in law. Unfortunately the wrong shade, so reluctantly had to return it. but as always this top is a perennial. I bought one of these tops last year and found I wore it a lot so have now bought three more in the lovely colours only Kettlewell do. Really like these tee shirts. The neckline is just right and they are good worn on there own or as layer when the weather is cold. Great for travelling.Wash easily and do not really need ironing. This top is great quality, fits well in Small, and I prefer the semi-scoop to the scoop neck. I was a little disappointed in the Shell Pink colour, it is more of a light peach colour. However I do like the shade, and it will go well with most trousers. I have had my colours done previously and am Spring. So discovering Kettlewell is great for me! Don't normally buy higher necks but this is very flattering. Although semi-fitted it fits me just right, slim but not clinging. I am a petite 5ft 1 size 10 and the length is just right about mid hip. Bought the shell pink (S) which is really a soft peach, wasn't sure at first, but on the colour is flattering. Fabric very nice too.Very nice top and would buy more. After reading some reviews I was a little worried that the neckline on this top may be unsuitable, especially as I have a generous bust. However, it is perfect. I love these tops and have several in various colours. The neckline makes them perfect to wear under tops, jumpers etc. I use them for work all the time and they are invaluable.
