I like the style of the two layers. You can tuck the bottom layer in or leave it out. The top layer is flattering if you need to disguise a tummy. The material doesn’t cling but is soft and floaty. I chose the colour eucalyptus which is unusual for me but I love it.- Laraine (23/02/2024)

Lulu is a very flattering style for me as it hides my tummy, and I was looking forward to wearing it at Christmas with my new pansy jersey maxi skirt. The colour is a perfect match but the under-layer seemed longer this time and I was initially tempted to send it back. As a last resort I tried tucking the under-layer into the skirt. Love these tops it’s the fourth one i have bought over the years. i am a vibrant Spring and the red coral is fantastic the first time I wore it so many people commented on the colour. I wear these with smart trousers for work as well as with linen trousers, jeans and cargo pants for casual it’s so versatile. A great style which is very flattering. The fitted lower layer elongates and the flared top layer hides the fat rolls! Fits to size. Have bought in different colours and sizes as birthday presents for friends and they both love it. This is my first garment purchase. Sadly I had to return the Lulus I tried. I loved the colour and ordered different sizes to try and liked the long sleeves but the wide 'V' neckline didn't suit me at all. How about a Scoop neck like the half sleeve navy version Jackie which I love? I'm living in hope! I'm happy with the navy Jackie and will now wait for next year to order another colour. I was recommended to try the Lulu. Love how it covers and moves. Although I have an hourglass shape I did like it, I imagine it is good for covering up revealing or too low cut pants/skirts for an all together feel and look. Could be a great top for casual wear and with sweatpants and pants for my long torso. I found the Scarlet red color a bit dark for me. I am a spring. Holding off for now. Hoping KW will offer the same fit in a peplum cut version for us that need covering and have long torsos but who want to show our waistline. I bought two of these tops recently- one in bright navy and the other in Blue smoke. They don't fit exactly the same- the bright navy is longer than the other one BUT I really like them anyways...i wear them with a jegging or with leggings and people ask me about them every time I wear them. The size is perfect. I am 5ft4 and wear 34DDD bra size. I hope new colors come out soon and I might even give the short sleeve version a try. I love the bronze and the shape. I tend to tuck the under layer in. My other one was an M but S looks better on me. It has pilled at the front after one wear which is annoying. I noticed the same has happened on my brown one but i have had that one a lot longer. I think its my coat as i have noticed the same on my wraps. I think its where a seam rubs against the fabric. Other parts of the garments are fine. Coat was a new purchase this yr and has caused a lot of damage. Grrr. Wish the fabric wasnt so delicate.- Toni (26/03/2023)

As a Bright Winter, I purchased two Lulu tops in Cobalt Blue & Raspberry in a Large. I am normally a size 16 in a top and, having read the other reviews, sized down. I needed something smart, but easy to wear, to dinner in the evening on a forthcoming holiday. I am not an evening dress / sparkly person so this style of wear is always problematic for me. I am delighted with these. They have just the right level of dressiness without being overly romantic. They also deal with minor niggles such as upper arms and apple tummy. Paired with smart trousers or jeans and a pair of heels I will be good to go. Seriously considering a further purchase or two as they are that good ..... :-)- Jane (03/02/2023)

Lovely color and style, but you have to be particular about what bottom you pair it with. None of my skirts with seaming work well because of the lines of this top, but the cotton weekend skirt in Flint is perfect. I just wish I had a touch dressier skirt to go with it, like the viscose maxi skirt in mole without seaming detail would be ideal. (hint hint) and in petites please! I wasn't sure this would work for me as I don't do "floaty" but this top is great. I wear it for smarter days as the movement of the top layer adds a little bit more interest and the fitted bottom layer balances it out. This colour is one of my favourite Summer colours too. This is my first lulu, and I love it! It will not be my last! It is a bit too warm for now, in the summer, but I’m certain I will wear it constantly when it’s cooler. The neckline is perfect for me, and I like the longer length of the underneath layer. I had a seamstress take the top layer in, as there was a little too much material for me, but now I find it really flattering and easy to wear. I just ordered another one, I love it so much. This is a lovely top with the layers making it flattering. I usually wear more figure hugging styles so it is nice to find a top with a bit of movement that I feel comfortable wearing. The only downside is the tendency of the top layer to crease which will make it tricky to wear under a coat and look good when you take it off. I bought this lulu top to wear with a Laguna skirt from last year and it is perfect. The double thickness makes it warm enough for the colder weather. I am between small and medium sizes and sized down to small for this, the inside layer fits perfectly and with the outer layer being loose it hides all the lumps and bumps underneath! I bought the Indian Teal which is a lovely colour for me, I already had the heliotrope, one of my favourites and I have ordered the red for Christmas. They work for me as I am very short waisted, so I tuck in the long layer and the top fits me in just the right place, just above my leg break ! I love these tops, as I am very short waisted, the top layer falls at just the right place. I tuck the inner layer in and viola! just perfect. I have them in long sleeved, short sleeved and no sleeve version in most of the winter colours. For me it is the absolutely perfect top. The lulu layered top is the nicest thing I have bought from Kettlewell. I buy a lot from them, because I love the colour choice, and I’ve always been pleased with what I’ve bought. I was especially impressed with this top though. The feel of the fabric is especially pleasing - firm yet soft. The colour, blue smoke, is one of my best colours, and is quite difficult to find. I’m hoping Kettlewell will make more of their range in this colour! The best thing, though, is the feel of the top on my body. It’s fitting without being clingy, soft with no bagginess at all. I love these Lulu tops. They are pretty much all I choose as I have an apple belly and don't intend to share it with the world! This design gives a little 'hold' to the tum from the underlayer and the top layer then floats free in a most flattering way. I've lost track of how many I have now! I'm gradually collecting in all the winter colours. I live in trousers and jeans so tuck in the lower layer and keep the top layer floating - love! My chest is also larger at the moment, so the top layer stands out, but overall it gives a cute effect, with the under layer lying close to the body. I love the Lulu too, it works so well for me. I have recently ordered the plum purple and dark amethyst, both are gorgeous, but my favourite is the plum purple. I have worn it non stop since and with my smoked grape gauze stole, it’s a wow for me. I have this in Heliotrope and Bright Apricot. They are both beautiful colours, the apricot really zingy worn with bright navy jeans, the heliotrope better with blue/black jeans, for me. The top is flattering and easy to wear. I am a tall inverted triangle and wear it with the lower layer pulled down, which gives interest at hip level but the swingy upper layer attracts the eye most. I was only convinced to try ordering them as the previous time I had to return something to Kettlewell their return and refund service went so smoothly. And I am delighted that I tried; a perfect fit, the style does suit me and I love the colour. I am shortwaisted (not much room between ribs and hips) and I was worried this top would accentuate this. Not a bit of it! As other reviewers have said, it covers the bulgy bits which I don’t want to showcase and floats in a way which suggests a svelte figure underneath. Always pleased with my Kettlewell Lulu tops as I love the design with the bottom layer hugging you closely and the top layer then floating above - thus creating a softly flowing shape. I am 5'2" and am short waisted and have "lost" my very small waistline but I have slim thighs so the design is flattering for me. Cobalt is my latest purchase and is a Wow colour for me, as is the Fuschia. Dark Emerald is another Wow colour and still looks brilliant at night under electric light. I love this top and have it in Chinese Blue and Acid Yellow. Obviously, I love this top. I want to review the Indigo color! I'd purchased a wrap in the Indigo and not see the purple in the Indigo. KW Indigo is an amazing basics color and substitutes well for the winter Navy and black...at least for me. Nevertheless, I'm sold on this top because I can tuck in the underside (with jeans) and have the looser outer layer (for those lumpy days). I have been buying the Lulu top for the past 4 years and have loved it. It became an absolute staple in my wardrobe in all my best colours. I confidently bought 2 new colours - Deep Aqua and Pink Geranium, BUT - the fabric has changed in this incarnation of the design and it isn't a patch on the previous one. It stretches and pulls out of shape within an hour of wearing. A previous review dated 25/5/2021 says the fabric is cheap and comparing it to previous ones in my wardrobe it's exactly that - please change your fabric - it's not up to previous ones at ALL!- Gillian (10/06/2021)

What a disappointment. The color is terrific, the fit is good, the fabric feels dreamy. I wore this twice, not for very long, and the fabric is completely pilling up in the armpits and along the sides. Very poor quality fabric! Sadly, it's going directly to the dustbin. This is my second LuLu top and I just love them. I am small hipped but large waisted so this shape is perfect for me; both flattering and forgiving. My previous one is in Amber and this one is in Macadamia - both of which are ‘Wows’ for me and I always get lots of compliments when wearing them. I've only recently discovered KW and am trying to build capsule wardrobe of key pieces. I love the Lulu top. It's easy to wear and looks stylish. I've purchased in a few colours including Delphinium which has already got a lot of use. I've worn under a jacket for work, with a scarf working from home and I plan to wear with jeans when I can go out and about. I like the V and can adjust it so it doesn't reveal too much of my ample cleavage or wear a cami under for work. I've worn with an infinity scarf today. The first time I washed it I did at 30 but was wary it looked slightly mottled. I was really excited about this top and the whole Kettlewell concept. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed. The top fits well and is a lovely colour. However, it bobbled after just one short wear. Not something I would expect for the price. I contacted customer services but they said it was to be expected and I should use a bobble remover to rectify the situation.- Sophie (07/04/2021)

I love the LuLu top with knit or sporty pants as the under layer lays so nicely on this type of pants. Have worn it with jeans but the style really lends itself well to a jersey trouser without belt loops/zipper etc. I find the style very forgiving for those of us with a not so flat tummy. This lovely Lulu top is my no1 favourite from Spring to Autumn. It is quite warm being 'double layered' & the fit is the most figure flattering I have found. The underneath layer fits snuggly & gives a great shape, then the top layer skims over it & it 'swings' when you move. It's a perfect length too just over the hips. I wear it with jeans or a smart trouser or maxi skirt. With so many fabulous colours to choose from I chose the Oxford blue as it goes with any other colour combination. I'm a size 10 to 12 5ft 8 and never know whether to buy small or medium as the sizing varies. I bought one of each and both fitted but I preferred the body and arm length of the medium. I have long arms and the sleeves are long. The fabric is soft and not at all flimsy. The double layer makes it warmer than other tops, which is helpful at the moment. Only down side is that the front flaps forward when you bend over so watch out when cooking or doing jigsaws!- Anne (11/02/2021)

A lovely top, fantastic quality and can be worn dressy or casual. This is my 2nd lulu top, but a different colour. I am about 5ft 5 and a size 10 and the small fits ideal. I love the fact that you get a fitted vest and a looser top over this for the layer effect. I have been assessed as cool colouring and I think I have a pear body shape as my shoulders are slightly narrower than my hips but not by much. I love that it hides a bit of a tum or any lumps but doesn't make you look like you are wearing a sack. Kettlewell is always a bit more expensive than other stores but it's true what they say, you get what you pay for. The quality and price per wear makes it worthwhile. I seem to need a medium in KW to accommodate my swimmers shoulders and boobs but as I have a smaller waist I sometimes find it then too loose to be flattering. This is what happened with this top. I’m going to be honest here - as a minimalist I was not keen on the Lulu. Too much fuss for me. However, I ended up purchasing one in cyclamen because I wanted that particular colour and it was the only option I had for a long sleeve top in my size. I am so glad I took the plunge. This is a lovely top. It’s not fussy, the added layer adds fluidity and is streamlined. The colour is gorgeous and the top is really warm. I am petite and the top does not fit the same as shown on the model. The top layer falls to the mid-hip and the back is slightly longer. I can tuck in the inner layer if I wish. However, it is still very flattering and I like it very much. The Lobelia color is a deep yet vibrant color, and I get compliments when wearing it. Reply from Kettlewell - Tip for removing grease marks; dab a little neat washing up liquid (I use Fairy liquid) directly on to the stain and then wash in the machine as normal.

I think this style is the one I like best of all the designs. It is feminine and pretty and comes in a larger choice of colours than most. I was very pleased with the fit and look of it but if anything is a negative it’s the price which is in my opinion very high. Over the past two years or so, I've bought quite a few Lulu tops in the medium size. The v-neck style is very flattering and the range of colours superb. My newest top (Beetroot) arrived today. When I put it on I thought I must have ordered a small size by mistake. I checked and it is medium. Has the sizing changed this year? It feels as if it has. Reply from Kettlewell - We try to improve the fit of garments that have good demand but high returns. In the case of the Lulu we reduced the shoulder and neck width as the majority of customers found this area too wide. The return rate has reduced as a result. The fit can vary a little from one production to another due to manufacturing tolerances.

I recently purchased a Lulu layered top in Aqua. I love the style so much that I actually ordered three in different colours but I have to wait for the other two colours as they were out of stock. I absolutely love the one I have, both the style and the colour (aqua). It is a very soft and fine material and, as I feel the cold more than most people, I may choose to wear something, very thin underneath it in the winter. I bought a size small as I am normally size ten and it is completely fine but I think possibly the extra small may be even better. So, extravagantly, I have ordered a different colour that IS currently in stock in extra small to see which size I prefer. I will then decide if I want to change the size of the other two that I am waiting for! I have bought almost no new clothes during these 'corona months' as generally I prefer to buy in store but now I have found Kettlewell I am going a bit crazy! It has a cosy feel which I think will be good for colder weather. I like the fact that it’s warm but also has a loose layer on top to hide any body imperfections. I love the Chinese Blue colour which comes under my colour season of Spring and is really good with my hair and complexion. The style is flattering and I ordered a Medium for this one rather than my usual Large and it fitted fine. I have had many compliments about the colour and style. One small point. I managed to splatter some of my dog’s medicine on the front and immediately took off the top and washed it but some faint stains remain, Had I left it any longer before washing it, I fear the stains would have set and spoiled it. As it is only I notice the marks, but it is worth noting that any marks should be washed out at once, as the material sucks them in otherwise.- Daphne (16/10/2020)
Reply from Kettlewell - A useful tip for stains (particularly grease marks) is to dab a little Fairy washing-up liquid directly on to the stain and then wash as normal.

I think I tried this or the Gemma once before and wasn't keen on the material or the look on me. I was tempted to try again by my favourite Acid Yellow and lovely new Beetroot and can now see why it's so popular. This material feels more substantial, hangs beautifully and fits in all the right places. I did go down a size to ensure a smooth fit on the shoulders and bust. I like the long underlayer that can be pulled down, leaving the upper layer to swing flatteringly over the lumpy bits! It seems very versatile, too. The Lulu top must be one of Kettlewell's best tops, so I've ended up buying three!! (Rose Taupe and Fuschia initially, then my patience was rewarded when Heliotrope came back into stock in my size, so couldn't resist...) Being petite, I was delighted when it was finally available in Extra Small. I love the feel of the material and the layered effect, as well as giving a funky vibe, provides a touch of extra warmth for in-between weather without being bulky. Reply from Kettlewell - If you have an electric fabric shaver, I would suggest gently removing the bobbles with one of those. Since the fabric is so soft, it can pill a little with abrasion. Take care with seat belts and rough surfaces.

I have two of the Lulu tops - deep teal and coral - and I love them both. The v neck is flattering and the loose layer makes me feel more comfortable about my tummy as it’s hidden. The layer beneath is quite long so could be pulled down to hide a bum too. My only issue with these tops is that the layers makes it tricky to iron. The fabric quality is great though - I bought the same style top for double the price from a high-street chain at the same time as my coral one - that one got bobbles and holes in from the fabric wearing out within 6 months whereas my Kettlewell one is still as new at least a year later. What a fantastic design this top is. High quality fabric which fits and flatters. I am a hesitant winter who has never owned anything in pink or jewel colours ever, but I bought this top in Fuschia and I absolutely love it. I also have the chinese blue which I am less sure of but it looks wonderful with white slim 7/8 trousers. I would love more colours, so am hoping the next season offers more that I would like (Ganzi purple, bright white please!) The sage green is a soft and yummy color that will take me through the seasons. The design of the top is ingenious for discretely hiding a muffin top or belly bulge. I sized down to M and it is plenty roomy and the outer layer drapes beautifully and doesn't cling. Lulu top is much recommended for tubby types like me. Heliotrope is a great colour but I cannot decide re the style because the LL has come out unexpectedly large on me. (I have several other KW styles in LL which if anything are a little snug.) To wear it I'd have to tuck up the lower layer to be much the same length as the upper which wd defeat the styling objective. Lulu also fits too broadly across my shoulder. Torn between returning it to ask for L size or switching to another tunic-top.(Jenna is a good fit on me.) The top is a good fit and a flattering shape. However, I was surprised at the intensity of the colour. As a summer/autumn I was recommended this shade on the blog that covered cross-over seasons (brilliant by the way, and finding I'm a soft brown summer has made sense of a lot of my mistakes!). This colour, though, does not appear to be soft and muted to me and stands out in my wardrobe. I've never bought this top before from Kettlewell, despite buying from Kettlewell for years. I have lost quite a bit of weight recently so am bordering on a 16/14 and this style is very flattering. I went for LL as I always do and although I have sized down in a number of their products I've not exchanged the LL for an L as I am more than happy with the fit as it is. It's a lovely colour the Chinese Blue. I hesitated for a while before buying a Lulu top as I was worried that the upper layer was cut too short to be truly flattering. I was wrong. It is an incredibly flattering length. I bought the Lulu top in black, and it certainly lives up to its postive reviews. Most Kettlewell tops are on the short side for me (I'm 5'7" with long back & arms) but this one is fine, even in sleeve length. The style is different and double layer works really well, more interesting than plain top. Have since bought another in Fig colourway (which is paler than I expected from the online pics, but I'm happy with that). Fig one is maybe slightly shorter but stl OK. I bought the Mallard which is a lovely colour have not worn it yet but looked nice when tried on. It is quite thick so perhaps not quite as useful like some which can be used almost all round the year. Reply from Kettlewell - We would recommend washing again on your lowest spin cycle. Although it may take longer to dry, there shouldn't be any creases once ironed.

I now have three Lulu tops....red, indigo and blackberry, as I am a winter person. Verdict? Very good! Why? Because they are flattering, stylish and warm enough to avoid needing an extra layer underneath as they are composed of two layers anyway. The colours are clear, strong and great for my winter complexion. I have recently lost weight, and had already purchased the red Lulu in LL, though now I only need Size L. However, I can still comfortably wear the LL as it does not look too baggy. Any downsides? Yes. They are quite pricey. The fabric is quite heavy, so does not lend itself to packing light for a weekend away with a small bag, and it takes a while to dry, especially as the spin speed is recommended to be slow. However, I still love all the tops and recommend them with this proviso.- Barbara (31/12/2019)

Very clever design! really conceals and flatters, super comfortable while keeping stylish. The V-neck is well cut, fabric has a soft feeling, while staying in place for a well put together look. Value for money as I am reaching out to this top for repeat wearing. Took one star off from quality as I noticed some piling after the second hand-wash in cold water. If anything to improve, please Kettlewell have a look at the fabric as I do not notice piling on other of your products. Pleased to notice that through the wash the colour still stays on, and the water comes out clear from colour, further reassurance of your colour quality. At just 5 foot the Lulu top was just too long. I noticed one of the reviewers said that she'd shortened her tops. I loved the lulu top, so I carefully hand hemmed the inner layer, which still gave me a 'hang down' bit. Unfortunately it doesn't look good. I am a better than average seamstress but I don't have an overlocker on my sewing machine, hence the hand hemmed blind hem. I pressed it with a cloth, but the hem looks - just not like the machine hemmed original. I've tried with Kettlewell, but I've decided its not for shorties. Please, Kettlewell, since this is one of your best designs ever and a staple top for the winter, when will you restock size XS? I have just received the Lulu top in Rumba Red together with matching Merino Infinity Scarf. I ordered them together apprehensive as to whether they would actually be exactly the same shade as made from different fabrics. They do however match perfectly and I am delighted with the fit and quality. I am a little disappointed that I can't match up any more of my preferred colours as the items look great together - more colours please for the scarf. Lulu tops give the illusion of shape - even if you're a straight up and down lass, like I am. ( I believe we're called 'Rhubarb' versus the 'Apple' and 'Pear' names applied to curvier ladies). The 1st Lulu I bought was for summer use - and in extra small size. The latest 2 (one black, one grey) are for cooler weather, so I've gone up a size to small to allow for fine, base-layer thermals underneath. This is by far one of my favorite tops. It does run large. I am a size 14P and I order a medium in this top after reading all the reviews. Medium is the perfect sizing for me. I love the way the under-layer hugs my hips and the over layer hangs nicely to hide my middle and stomach bulges and hits mid hip. The v Neck allows for a necklace but is nicely situated. The fabric is a bit clingy but the outer layer hides any un-slightly ripples. I bought this in Watermelon, Mallard, Breton Blue and Azure. All beautiful colors for casual wear and party attire. I’m a natural gamine so it’s perfect stying for me. The only issue I have had is that my beautiful watermelon top was washed in water too warm and is now streaked with blue. I was heartbroken since at this price you stop short of buying a replacement. Even XS seems a bit too roomy, but the top is very pretty anyway. It is one of my favourite styles, and the Breton Blue is a very good calmer, more neutral shade for Springs. I just wish Kettlewell hadn't changed the fabric of the top layer. Why oh why did you stop making it in Lyocell which is so much more beautiful, silky, easy to care and in all other ways superior to viscose? When recd it was too large and I returned it for a smaller size. The colour is really nice. I still have not received the replacement when I phoned I was informed it could take 21 days which I think is excessive for a replacement size. As others have said, this is a lovely top. I am 5'7" a 12/14 and bought a medium in 2 colours, coral and watermelon, intending to return one but I have kept both and will probably buy another. The material is quite thick but this makes the top hang better - the 2 layers are genius as you can adjust the length of the underlayer to wear with either a skirt or trousers and therefore it looks nice with both. I am fairly large-busted and tend to like things fitted but this top worked for me because of the underlayer - I can see it might not work for someone smaller with a bust though. I love this top it is so flattering and hangs beautiful. I definately will buy more colours. I normally take a size medium, and so ordered a medium in this Lulu top, however I found it too large, it hung off the shoulders and felt baggy. I am petite at 5'2" and a size 10/12. I have tried this top in two sizes L and LL the largest size being overly big on shoulders and length of sleeve. The L size much better fit overall, however, as I am only 5ft 3inches I found the top not very flattering as I have a full bust and a waistline so didn't feel it was right for me. My Lulu lavered top was lovely but could do with the v neck, a bit higher. I am a lady in her 70s and need to think of what's on show. The material creases easily and has to be refreshed after every wear. I find if I wash it and put straight on a hanger to dry the garment doesn't need ironing, which is a bonus. I had debated about buying this top for a while as I thought it was quite pricey for what looked like a not too fancy top BUT now that I have it I'm delighted! I'd read the reviews carefully about sizing & opted to go lower. I'm normally a size 12 but went for the small option that is perfect. Not too tight & V neck not revealing. I recently bought a Lulu Layered Top in Heliotrpe... great colour, flattering fit, although the arm length is a little on the long side. However, I decided to treat myself further and bought the same top in Pansy and True Red. The Pansy one fits just like the Heliotrope one, but the True Red one is considerably bigger in all respects... body & arm length as well as width. My daughter, who is also a size 14 but 5 inches taller than me has now become the happy recipient and beneficiary....No loss what a friend gets right enough but discrepancies in sizing, I suggest, is an issue worth your investigating.- Elizabeth (18/04/2019)

It also looks great with the Ponte pencil skirt as a substitute for a dress - again v flattering. I I have both in the dark burgundy shades (they have different names but match exactly). Know I'm turning into an oldie but I struggle to put this top on! I always seem to end up in a knot. I like the style but find the V neck too wide and low for some one of my age. Because it is in two layers wearing a camisole tends to be too warm. I have to wear a scarf to cover the exposed area, which I don't always want to do indoors - too warm again and inconvenient when cooking. The sleeves are also a tad too long for me. I love this top and I have several in different colours. The outer layer's loose fit hides a multitude of sins, whilst the inner layer stops it looking too floppy. The under layer is a bit long for me,being so short,but I make a pleat which sits under the outer layer and I can make it a perfect length. What a fabulous top!! Love it, love it!! I downsized to a medium( I’m a 14), love the watermelon although it’s a bit too orangey for me- I’m a light Spring. Very flattering - I’ll wear with skinny trousers and a pencil skirt. Neckline perfect for me- I’ve got a medium/ large bust. May get another one but colours aren’t great for me. Very pleased with the fit, fabric quality and colour. This top is great with jeans, leggings and trousers. It is lovely soft fabric against the skin and drapes beautifully. This is the second Lulu top I have bought. The first was in green, and this one in coral. I am a dark autumn and find it quite hard to find suitable clothes in the shops. Often the styles I like only come in grey or black. It’s lovely to have such a good selection of colours. It’s a nice heavyweight jersey which hangs well, and the style is very flattering to those of us with ample bosoms and a muffin top. It can be dressed up or dressed down, so I find it incredibly useful for work and leisure. My only criticism, if it is one, is that the V-neck is quite wide and low and, I fear that after a few washes, I will need to wear a camisole to preserve my modesty. This top is a thing of genius! Works wonders for tummy-covering while managing look elegant too. Quite heavy fabric, useful for those days when you need a warmer layer. Quite long overall, so I need to be careful not to wear a short jacket because it looks untidy. Washes well & retains its shape. Have both pansy and the bright pink, both lovely. Only one small niggle, bit to low at the neckline but easily solved with a cami underneath. Excellent Delivery and package. This is my third Lulu Layered Top, so it is obvious how much I love this style. It is perfect for those of us who have somehow managed to lose our lttle waistlines, but still want to keep a slim silhouette. The weight of the material means it hangs beautifully and it can be dressed up with big necklaces or made more casual by the addition of a scarf. Although the bottom layer fitted well and was flattering, the top layer just hung in an unflattering way. I had a Lulu top before, when the fabric was finer and I love it, so I bought two more and the colours were beautiful. However I was really disappointed when I tried one on as the fabric was not only much heavier but somehow much bulkier too. There was too much of it, the outer layer, and it made me look enormous. I like the way the bottom layer fits easily over my hips and top layer swings (great for concealing my muffin top!). One wash so far and it was fine. I really fancied this top as I have muffin tops to hide and love Kettlewell tops usually. I loved the bottom layer as I felt held in nicely and the length was great but was disappointed with the top layer. A bit too much spare material for me and not a shape that suited so I felt a bit maternity rather than sexily draped! I bought the Lulu layered top in breton blue and am very pleased with it. The top is very elegant, flattering and a beautiful fit and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I also bought a silver Florence infinity scarf to go with it. I have two infinity scarves already in different colours which I wear a lot. I love the clingyness of the under layer and the floaty ness of the top layer. The fit is good and flattering. I usually need a Large in Kettlewell tops but having read previous reviews I choose to order a Medium in this style. Right decision! The under layer is nice and long and fits snugly whilst the top layer skims over the bits you are probably least fond of. Ordered in true red as a change from my Autumn palate and it is very flattering. A little on the pricey side but the style outlays that. Lovely top, with fabric which is an ideal weight/thickness for spring/autumn, although it would still look great with a jacket for chillier months. I like that it’s long sleeved as lots of similar tops have 3/4 sleeves. I’m an autumn and bought the coral colour, which I’ve had loads of compliments on. I’m a 10/12 (I tried both a small & medium but went for the small) but still have lumpy bits I’d like to cover up and this top does that really well yet the v-neck is flattering as I’m busty. Very pleased with this flattering and comfortable top. The rose brown colour is pretty and unusual. The fabric is nicely heavy, just right as I’m a chilly person.
