Since the two lengths trousers were abandoned around 2014 or so, I have had endless trouble getting trousers long enough at 5ft 8ins and a well balanced body according to my HOC style consultation. , normt short legged or extra long legged, just normal. Well, I tried on two pairs of what could have great trousers. The Cassis ones were a colour that was not like my Cassis maxi skirt, more purple, but a lovely colour. Would have kept them but then the left leg hung twisted and balooned out. As for the correct length for me, I turned over the whole of the hem, like turn ups, so basically at 5ft 8ins tall, the Cassis ones were 2.5inches too long. Trousers for those 5ft 10ins or taller! The Chateau ones were shorter but too big around the crutch with excess material, and the Mole ones I never took out Far, far too cool and get for an Autumn. Not the Mole I remember. I fear KW is losing it's way.

Length - I dislike ankle-bothering trouser hems as I have always had longer than average legs for my height (typically look for 31" inseam) and prefer hems to touch my shoes so that I look as though they fit me. These are perhaps a couple of cm too long, but I had scrolled past many trouser options at Kettlewell before, due to length. KW are now doing different lengths in newer styles, which is great. I note the Long length in Winter colours for the new Ponte Wide Legs are sold out already... Fit - They are close fitting around the top, in contrast to the wide legs. Value - there's a part of me that thinks these are 'just' navy trousers you can get on the high street and so wasn't totally sure they were keepers, but they were on sale - and the comfort is spot on, the fabric is a good quality and suitable for autumn through to spring.

Was surprised at how thick these were and also how controlling,felt like putting a girdle on but very comfortable.They are ridiculously long even for my long legs and will need turning up a couple of inches.I ordered two pairs but had to send the mole ones back as teh sizing was different to the chateau and they gapped at teh back waist plus one of. the legs just would not hang correctly. Not sure what occasion I will wear them for being so pale but will enjoy styling them.

Received very quickly, lovely quality, the extra wide band and strong fabric helps to hold everything in! I am considering buying the mole as its not a colour I have tried before. as with everyone else they are a bit long and hoping with a small heel I won't need to shorten them.

At last a lovely firm thicker fabric suitable for winter wear. The waist and hip area fitted perfectly with a pleasing wide waistband. Unfortunately due to the wide cut the area just below my hips bagged out a bit like jodhpurs. I realise wide-fitting trousers are in fashion at the moment but if these were a straight cut they would be more flattering. Also as with other reviewers they were way too long. Could the design team have another look and see if they can come up with another design in the same Ponte fabric please?

Beautiful trousers. The heavier fabric hangs perfectly and they are a streamlined, flattering fit at the top. Yes, they are long but with shoes on they are just rig (the shoes have a very slight wedge heel). As I don’t like trousers that sit between on the ankle, these are just right. The mole colour is elegant and versatile.

I really like these trousers! They are quite heavy weight so feel substantial, warm and smart - not at all like sportswear. However, they will definitely be just as comfy as sportswear! They are quite high rise which I find flattering, and there is quite some support around the tum area to smooth lumps and bumps. I will need to consider the right underwear for a smooth finish but I don't think that's different than any other pair of close fitting trousers. I love the Mole colour (even though it's not coded to my season of spring) - it's a lovely neutral that will coordinate well and is more interesting than grey or brown. Similar to other reviewers I found these trousers extremely long which is a shame as I'm not confident to shorten them myself as they're jersey. They have a very generous hem (approx 3 inches) so if you have very long legs, these will work! I am 5'7" and my legs aren't short or long for my height so I usually am OK with standard length trousers or sometimes needing longer length. Although the average inseam is stated as 81 cm for a medium, my medium pair were over 83 cm. Even with heeled boots these will still be too long so it's off to the tailor!

I love the mole colour, just gorgeous but, I wished I had read the earlier reviews as they are far too long for my 5ft 6 in frame.

Gorgeous colour, gorgeous quality but so long. I do resent having to pay for the trousers to be shortened. I appreciate that Kettlewell is a small business, but hopefully one day, you can offer regular and long lengths. These are definitely the latter.
