I absolutely love this jacket, especially in the bright Kingfisher. Unfortunately the small was too tight around hip area so I had to return it. As there was no medium, I went for the jewel iris. It is lovely so I kept this one. Would definitely buy another Kingfisher in medium if it came back into stock
Very well made and a lovely colour. Following on from other reviews I did purchase both the small and medium sizes to see which fitted. The small fitted, but was snug and tight over the hips when zipped up. The medium gave more room and allowed for a jumper underneath. Returning the small was simple and the refund was swift.
I’d always wanted a Hudson, but it’s a big spend and investment piece. I was lucky enough to get one in the sale. The leather is so soft, the colour is incredible. I always size up to a medium or 12 in a jacket so I can wear a sweater underneath and I definitely would want to with this one.
Ordered it in Blue spruce .. but wasn’t sure about colour .. but I loved everything else about it.. fantastic fit and sleeve length … so ordered the Bordeaux Blush and Storm Blue as much trying on and hoping hubby was going to say keep both of them … which he didn’t. I decided Storm Blue was going to fit more in to my wardrobe… after having about 10 Chloe I now wonder how many Hudson I am going to buy … I would of never tried if it hadn’t been 15% off .. a wee Scottish girl that loves a bargain
Based on Kettlewell measurements I should be large/14 on bust and medium/12 on waist and hips. The large fits, I can wear it with a long sleeve t shirt and fasten it over the bust. If I was wearing it with jumpers I may need a LL. I previously ordered a Kingfisher one when they came out but it flared out at the hips, this one doesn't seem to do that and although the Kingfisher colour was gorgeous I can see this Rich Chocolate getting a lot more wear!
Oh dear,so wanted to love this jacket after saving up to buy but it was far too small.I ordered my usual size and the arms and shoulders were fine but when I tried to zip it up and fasten the collar I could hardly breath.I know people wear these open but I like to have the option to close in cold weather.The pockets are also too high for me and length too short.I ordered blue spruce which was more green than I had expected.Sadly it is on it,s way back.
Lovely jacket arrived today. Storm blue is a beautiful colour. I ordered this jacket in Bordeaux blush in a size up but didn’t fall in love, this is definitely a keeper.
This was a splurge for me but it’s so rare to find investment pieces in my soft summer colours that it made sense. I wear it a lot and people often say what a lovely jacket it is. It’s incredibly soft and supple suede. Light and comfy to wear. I sprayed it with Liquiproof protector spray after seeing someone do it in a Kettlewell group online and I don’t feel I have to be too precious about it - I took it folded in a bag on a flight and it’s still looking perfect. I have been waiting to buy the delphinium blue one but it seems to have sold out and hasn’t come back into stock.
I had some doubts about the price point on this jacket. I had already purchased the original presentation in Iris. But when I saw it on the videos, I decided that the green would be a really great game changer. I was right. I think from the iris to the green, the green has a better fit. At 130 pounds I don’t feel like I’m too snugged into a medium. Especially after I put on layers. there’s one thing I’m absolutely sure of. I have the right leather jackets to last a while!
