As a dramatic classic I loved this from the launch, but worried it might be too dramatic for my retired lifestyle. Finally I succumbed. First to the silver ice, to wear with dark denim jeans, then to both the Bordeaux and Cosmos purple (in sale) for with silver or light neutral bottom halves. Positives: - Once I got the right size (S - my usual size) went nowhere near my bust or doing up) the fit was great. -The peplum covers that little bit of tummy without overly exaggerating the flaring hips. - Lovely crisp fabric and - nice structure - which I need as a DC . Fortunately I don't mind ironing. Not so positives. - Sizing. Seemed totally off with Size S. - Still needs a cami infill to avoid gaping. Hoping to find one in the exact same shades. - Would prefer poppers or button on internal wrap and the outer tie to be a little bit wider.

Stunning Bordeaux colour and lovely crisp pure cotton. I had to size up from medium to large and am very happy with the fit. The style is flattering and can be dressed up or down. I loved it so much I purchased the Silver Ice colour in the sale which was a bargain.

I initially purchased the Mayfair Wrap Shirt in Marine Navy, size medium. I liked it so much I purchased the Silver Ice when it went into the sale. The fit is amazingly flattering. The pleating, peplum and tie waist create a lovely focal point for my column figure. A bonus is that the crossover wrap does not gap at all. It stays securely, and modestly, closed.

Beautiful shirt in lovely soft cotton. I sized up to get a good fit around the bust and find it has good coverage and sits well without a cami. I am pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it is to wear with no readjustments needed.

I am a regular kettlewell shopper but found this blouse sadly a big disappointment. I ordered two colours - silver and Bordeaux - both arrived very creased. There is something strange in the cut around the armholes and shoulder which gos t seem to sit right. For a short person the the length from shoulder to waist is clearly too long causing the back to pucker up and bulge out. Instead of looking crisp and clean the overall line was ballooning out. Other wise the waist and bust seemed true to size.

This is a very flattering style for an apple shape and the cotton is nice, but sadly the cream colour was a bit meh on this autumn, and husband said it looked like I was off to karate. I think it would be lovely in a print.
