I love the Gabriella tops. I’ve got 4 now, bought over the past few years although I’m still annoyed with myself for missing out on the moss green one. Depending on weight gain/loss I’m either an inverted triangle or an hourglass, and I’m a very natural natural (with a squirt of classic romantic), with square shoulders, so I initially thought these might not suit, but I love them. The slight gather on the shoulders appeals to my romantic side without being too fussy for my square set shoulders, the fit is relaxed enough for my natural needs, the V is just the right shape and depth, and the length works on my slightly short torso. I wear them with skirts, trousers, shorts and jeans and they’re a real summer staple for me, whatever the weather throws at us.

The lightweight slub is cool to wear in the heat, and as with all my Kettlewell items needs no ironing if hung to dry naturally immediately after removal from the washing machine. When the Gabriella first came out I dismissed the style because of the shoulder detail, but after trying one 2 years ago I now have 3, and hope it remains a regular item in new colours each year. It's such a flattering style and fit with a touch of feminity in the shoulder gathering.
