Write a reviewMarked down as too short at 28 inches…..description said 29., Good price in the sale but not sure I,d pay full price as fit not perfect, too baggy on the legs
I just sent off for a pretty huge jeans haul. I have the Darla cropped jeans in white, and finally decided to try all the Kettlewell jeans to see which ones would fit me best. How I wish I had not waited so long to buy these. Turns out the Darla bootcut are too long and too tight in the leg for my chubby knees and calves. I got the last pair of these in chocolate truffle size M and they fit me perfectly. I'm currently a slightly overweight size 12, I'm an hourglass shape with full thighs, chubby knees and calves. These fit like a dream everywhere, don't catch below my knees, are incredibly comfortable and the perfect length. And I love the colour. I may be stalking people in the colour club for any other colours they come in.
We are delighted to hear that you found your perfect fit in our jeans! Kind regards Kettlewell.
I’d been looking at these jeans for a while and was tempted by the sale price. They feel beautiful, soft and smooth, but were just too neat fitting overall for me so had to be returned
I bought this in medium but found it too large and returned it for a small which fits perfectly . The colour is a brilliant spring neutral and goes with virtually all my coloured tops and off whites . So much so that I ordered a second one - especially as I have not seen this colour in jeans in other shops - great value in the sale .
Great fit and length. Bought in the sale, very pleased!
These are lovely jeans although a little baggy on the thigh so had to size down from L to M which fit except for Imperial Purple which I really wanted the M was too small and L not available. I have duck egg and light birch in M and Misty pine in L. They need shortening by 1” as I am 28” inside leg and just a tad too long.
I now have 3 pairs of the Denim full length jeans in Raspberry, Monaco Blue & Lunar Grey. They work well with many of my Kettlewell tops & knitwear. The main reason I decided to write a review is that I find them incredibly comfortable to wear even on a drive from Scotland to southern Spain.
I was really looking forward to receiving these and wanted to love them. They were 98% fabulous - BUT they seemed to go into very noticeable creases in the lower stomach/groin area. This was probably more noticeable because of the colour (a lovely grey shade) as I'm used to wearing darker colours on my bottom half. I am pear-shaped and otherwise these were fabulous. The problem is probably due to my shape (bit of a tum) so other pear-shapes may find these to fit brilliantly. No gapping at the waist which was welcome. Sad to return them, but given the price I just could not convince myself to keep them. I usually wear size 14 on my bottom half and Medium in Kettlewell, but I sized up to L and these were akin to a size 14 I would say. Length was good for my height. Hope this helps others.
To my surprise the LL were a little loose on me - the L was a better fit. I am an awkward shape where trousers are concerned in that to get the hip measurement right the waist is usually very loose causing surplus fabric around the waist. On the L size everything fitted perfectly due to the stretch in the fabric. I am 34" waist 41.5" hips for reference. However I have returned both pairs sadly as they were too long and even after I turned the bottoms up the fabric didn't hang smoothly but in folds. Whether this would sort itself out in time I didn't feel I wanted to risk for the price.
Definitely designed with an hourglass figure in mind so a perfect fit for me. Although they are a bit pricey, it's very difficult to find trousers that fit perfectly and are the right colour so worth the money. Initially I wasn't sure about the colour. I do like light colours but as we're going into winter I'm more inclined to go for darker tones. I'm glad I ordered them though as light birch is really nice and although light, not too light. In general I do find the colours for Spring for skirts and trousers limited. Monaco blue is a beautiful colour but not as versatile as a clear light navy blue or a tru red. Similar issue with the skirts. Champagne (not sure how that would look) or purple are not real neutrals which is a shame as I would otherwise have ordered the pencil skirts.
