Write a reviewVery well made and good quality but sadly I thought it was shapeless and a bit boxy despite it being my usual size. I wanted to love it but didn't. It's on its way back.
Hurrah! Finally a denim jacket I love! Superb quality - feels amazingly soft and comfortable to wear. I love the dark denim colour (and absence of orange stitching). Also the deep inner (phone) pocket - to highlight just one of many well considered design details. I’m typically a size L / LL in Kettlewell tops and preferred the slightly longer length and fit of the LL (Broad shoulders, 38 DD/E bust). Highly recommend.
Always wanted a denim jacket. Price a bit on the high side, but I tried Dark denim and Mid denim for choice. Could easily have bought two because I couldn't decide but having gone for the Dark I'm very happy with my choice. Shoulders, as always, a bit wide for me ( rounded, narrow, sloping shoulders affected by osteoporosis - waah) but shoulder pads have helped enormously. Sleeves, as always, a bit long but I wear it with turned up cuffs. Love the style and length and wore it round my recent travels in Andalusia. It'll get a lot of wear for seasons to come!

I have bought two of these jackets . The mid denim one in Small was a perfect fit, but the dark denim one was too big. The sleeves and length was about 2-3 cms longer than the mid denim one. I tied two of these jackets S and they were both the same, so I sized down to an XS which was much better.
I love this jacket with one exception: the sleeves are 2 inches (5 cm) too short! However, I love the collar (sharp points, stands up) on this and the rest of the fit as someone who is short-waisted with broad shoulders. I rather like the idea of sleeves of the shirt under the jacket showing at the end of the cuffs. And gloves can make up the rest if I need them. As the weather warms, I can roll up the sleeves to 3/4. So - this is a keeper for me. Now to see if the jeans work on my longer legs.
This jacket was a lovely neat fit for my size 10 to 12. Sadly the sleeves were far too short, so I had to return it.

What a great jacket - I can see this being a casual wardrobe staple. I so appreciate that it shows off my feminine curves in the way the side seam has been stitched rather than being a straight seam which can make these kind of jackets look boxy for us ladies with a fuller figure. Love that there is an element of stretch in the sleeve fabric so I could push up and the sleeves will hold if I didn't want to open the button and turn the cuff up. Sizewise, realistically I'd be between the L and LL so being a jacket I opted to go for the LL to give opportunity to have layers beneath. It is a little broader as a consequence in the shoulder on me so I may pop a little shoulder pad in to fill it out, but that would be a personal preference for structure. I'm a 38DD and high street 14/16 depending on brand if that helps anyone with sizing thoughts.
I bought the Cream jacket and tried it on several times before deciding to keep it. I thought it a bit too big but I think the material will soften with wear and hang better. Quality is lovely and the studs are perfect colour for a Spring. I also ordered the mid denim and love this. It will go with dresses and skirts and trousers. I’ve already worn it several times. Interestingly the sleeves are only just long enough for my long arms. I am certain these two jackets will take me through Spring and Summer
I decided to try the Darla in light denim as it was coded for Springs and would work well with my recently updated Light Spring/Light & Warm palette. OMG, the quality and fit is amazing, this is a cut well above your average denim jacket. I know I'll get loads of wear from it, based on a quick try on with a cashmerino scoop jumper and skirt, a top and skirt and a patterned dress. Definitely worth the price, so soft and comfortable to wear. 5 stars from me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
