This top was nice but I returned it because it was just a bit too clingy on my chest despite scoop being one of my recommended necklines. However the main reason for return was that I’d got the colour wrong. I selected Java and being a cool toned person I needed less yellow in it. After speaking to the studio ladies at Kettlewell I bought a cassis top ( darcey crew) instead and I absolutely love it! When you get the colour right they are fabulous tops.
I am thrilled with the Darcy scoop neck top. I originally ordered the size 12 in the ice pink, but due to the stretch of the fabric it was just a bit too clingy so re ordered in the size 14 (in both ice pink and kingfisher) and the fit is perfect. The fabric is lovely and soft and has a cosey warm and yet cool feel to it at the same time. The kingfisher colour is slightly brighter than my screen showed but all screens vary and I was hoping it would be slightly brighter. Delivery was just one working day after I ordered it.
Ordered Java which I thought was a shade of brown, it was maroon, a colour which doesn't suit me. Long time customer - had many Darcey Scoop in the past.
The new sizing does not work for me. For years I have ordered LL and they were always a great fit. Despite losing a stone in weight recently the new sizing (16) is too tight across the body. Purchased in Marine Navy and Java, both lovely colours. Very disappointing as I now have to pay for postage to order larger sizes - if I decide to.
My first purchase in the new sizing. It was fine across the shoulders, chest and fitted nicely on the body. However, the armholes were very tight near the armpit and it felt uncomfortable. The Java was a beautiful colour. I will try in another style of Darcey.
Lovely top. I have a few Darcey's but I wanted a long sleeve one so the round neck version fitted the bill. Ive not bought a Darcey for a while and love the fabric of this one. It seems smoother and feels silky to the touch. Will definitely get another one.
I have several of these tops now as they go with just about everything. I like the fact that it is neat but not too clingy. The double front prevents any bra lines showing and is very forgiving over my tummy. I wanted a top in this particular colour to go with a few of my wardrobe items so I am very happy with this purchase.
I've been looking for a red long sleeved top for later in the year and was so pleased to see this in carmine! I already have this style in ice pink and can confirm that a medium in the old sizing is the same as a size 12 in the numerical sizing. It does seem slightly longer, but the width is the same. I love the double front and the scoop - this is such a wardrobe staple for me. I have a number of different Darcey styles that I've acquired over the last few years and they are all really good quality and still pretty much look like new and I'm confident this one will be just as good, so great value!
Love these Darcey tops. Hope notch neck not discontinued as loved them too. I always size up if elastane in the mix and this was true for this one too. I’m between a 12 and a14. Love the colour too. It goes with a lot of my other clothes too.
