Write a reviewLovely top, true to KC sizing however, although the front is lined the back is not and the big failing in my opinion is that it should also be lined at the back as is the reversible sleeveless top. As is, lovely front but any blemishes on my back are for all to see. Having said that, I have kept the top to wear as a layer but definitely not on its own.
Long-ish term KW customer here (since mid-2021); I've tried many of their items. The Darceys are fab--the front double layer makes them warmer in winter but not sweaty and the look is more formal than a plain t-shirt. They work for both business-casual office and weekend wear. I'm between small and medium KW sizes now and the medium Darcey crew long sleeve fits (size 10-12, 32E, average shoulders and torso). Right length to tuck in, also the crew neck is slightly deeper making it more flattering (I don't have a long neck!). Never thought I'd gush about a grey shirt but Mercury is an amazing colour--medium grey but with a teeny tinge of green, tiny bit of blue. I don't get on with KW Silver at all but this is sublime for this (self-diagnosed) Summer.
I bought the Darcey crew long sleeve in Poppy and Evergreen and love both colours. Both very gay and crisp. I am between an M and an L and got this in L (due to broad shoulders), which is perfect. Straight, easy to wear everyday smart staple and definitely my favourite top this winter.
This is a beautiful above average basic top. The fabric is gorgeous and being double fronted it covers and fits superbly. It looks good with jeans or under a formal jacket. It’s an all round winner! Also heliotrope is a fabulous colour, I will get a lot of wear out of this top.
Love this Darcy style, Sundae colour is gorgeous!
I was so pleased to find this version of Darcey, as three quarter sleeves, V necks and scoop necks are no longer for me. I initially ordered pink ice as I’m a Cool Winter, and have had many tops in this, one of my favourite colours. I returned it because it had a greyish appearance and definitely different from my other pink ices. Very disappointed. However I tried again, ordering the pale grey as well, and it seems better, less grey. I love it, beautiful smooth feel to the fabric. It’s a tad loose on me, but I prefer this to having that constricted feel of a top that is a tad too tight! More winter colours please, not sure about the green, and I don’t like that particular bright blue.
I’d seen this top in mercury on a friend who looked stunning in it so was eager to try it for myself, as I was looking for a slightly smarter top. I ordered my usual Kettlewell size (small - UK 10). The top felt lovely to wear, soft, just enough stretch for comfort & movement, & the double front really elevated the style. Sadly the colour, mercury, did nothing for my true summer complexion with the hint of green in the silver grey colour washing me out! The small was a great fit for me everywhere except my shoulders, which are quite square, where it pulled & this was obvious. Sizing up would not have been an option as the top would have been to big around the bust/body/sleeves, so sadly I’m sending it back. Wondering whether the same style & size would be a better fit in a different colour….? Heliotrope caught my eye…..
Love, love, love the Darcey Crew Neck! I had tried the V neck which didn't suit but this style is lovely! Nice ans cosy for the colder weather in Scotland with the double fronted layers ans higher neckline but not too high. It is fitted which I keep an eye on especially rou d the back of my bra, but I do feel good in these ans often wear them with a Chloe Jacket for work-fabulous! I've got both the heliotrope and just received the pink ice. Onwards for the Neptune blue (su). I'm large busted so usually a UK size 12 or 14 so I buy an L in most KC tops.
I bought this for my daughter who loves this sort of blue/teal colour. It also suits her SP perfectly. The crew neck and sleeve length are spot on and she loves the double front. This is my favourite Kettlewell fabric and she loves it too.
This is one of my favourite Kettlewell tops and I have many! It is silky smooth next to the skin and the double layer of the front prevents my bra being seen - even my husband liked it. However, he did ask if I really needed another top - the answer of course is "I do"! What I didn't mention to him is that there are three more Autumn colourways just begging to be purchased.
