Five of my favourites

“What have you got your eye on?” is a question you hear a lot around the Kettlewell office when a new collection launches. Whether it’s a dress, jacket, jumper or just a simple scarf in a fabulous colour, everyone has their favourites. For me, it’s all about the texture and print this season, from super-soft Pima cotton to vintage-inspired blooms and tartan. Here are my top five picks that will be finding their way into my wardrobe over the coming months…

The Suki Dress

We scoured through hundreds of designs – and spent hours manipulating four different seasonal colour ways – to come up with the perfect floral print for this beautiful midi-length wrap dress. Fear not, although it’s a wrap dress, it’s completely decent (no risk of flashing too much leg when you stride out), and it has a lovely sweeping, feminine feel to it. No wonder it has been an instant hit with the fashion bloggers.

How I’ll be wearing mine: Layered with a ‘second skin’ Silky Scoop or Silky Roll Neck with opaque tights and boots for daytime; dressed up with a pair of heels for a dinner or wedding.

Leopard Scoop

Leopard print in playful colour ways is a big trend for autumn, so it’s no surprise you’ve been falling for our Leopard Scoop in record numbers (I have my eye on the Chocolate & Tan, but the blues, olive and cassis versions are equally gorgeous). Semi-fitted with long sleeves and a flattering scoop neckline, this really is the wardrobe essential that keeps on giving.

How I’ll be wearing mine: Casual at the weekend with a pair of jeans; teamed with our new Winona Jacket and a Weekend Skirt for when I need something a little smarter.

Tartan Skirt

Animal print has some stiff competition from checks this season, and I love our take on traditional plaid in the shape of the Tartan Skirt. It’s a great wearable and contemporary length, which is crying out for a pair of opaque tights and a pair of knee-high boots when the weather turns chillier.

How I’ll be wearing mine: Paired with a cosy Holly Wrap and a Hetta Tee for lunch or shopping trip – ‘put together’ but instantly comfy and wearable.

Winona Blazer

The key to the success of this classic jacket lies in the fabric – a brilliant textured cotton, with a stretch that makes it super-comfortable to wear and a really good, true-to-size fit.

How I’ll be wearing mine: Work or weekend, it’s perfectly versatile.

The Stripey Pima Tee

I don’t consider myself a striped top person at heart, but even I can’t deny there’s a lot to love about this Stripey Pima Tee. Not only is it as soft as it comes in luxurious Pima cotton and Modal blend, but it has a lovely long body and sleeves, which will keep ‘feel-the-cold’ people like me happy all winter long.

How I’ll be wearing mine: With a little of the long sleeves peeking through under a jumper

or shirt.
