Your new constant companion

Here's a thing: Connie is short for Constance, a name meaning steadfast and, well, constant. And if you ever wanted steadfastness in garment form, our Connie sweater is it. Cosy, soft pure merino wool knitted at a slightly warmer weight than most of our knitwear, this is the sweater you'll find yourself turning to for any occasion short of a black tie ball.

Connie features wide ribbing at the cuffs and waist, giving it a cosy finish. The shape and ribbing also make it ideal for wearing untucked or half tucked without looking messy.

If you want to give colour a go but aren't sure what suits you, then opt for bright jade - a gorgeous teal which flatters all skintones. If you want to keep it more neutral then ice blue looks amazing on cool skintones, while popcorn is more your colour if you've got a warm complexion. Whatever your preference, with eight shades to choose from the chances are there's a Connie for you.

Model pairs an Ice Blue Connie with Marie Trousers in Bordeaux, the Lilac Pink Connie is shown with Navy Marie Trousers, a Silver Ellipse Necklace and a French Navy & Stone Stripe Scarf

Model wears the Popcorn Connie with a True Red Ponte Pencil Skirt, the Cobalt Blue Connie is shown with a Red & Blue Tartan Skirt and a Pebble Grey Cashmere Gauze Stole.

ps: we also love Connie paired with a shirt underneath for a preppy look, but our bestselling Cotton Jersey Shirts almost sold out this season. So grab your Connie and keep an eye out for a refresh of shirts, including 12 new colours, when the new collection arrives at the end of February.
