Wardrobe updates for every palette

This time of year can feel very tricky, wardrobe-wise. The shops are full of summer clothes, but the weather outside is still wildly unpredictable and just the idea of short sleeves is enough to make you shiver. Until it is finally spring picnic-in-the-park weather, it can be tricky to know which new pieces to invest in that you'll be able to wear now, but still be able to style for warmer weather when the time comes.

And as if that wasn't enough of a dilemma, it can also feel a little intimidating, after months of darker colours and winter layers, to take the leap into something bold, bright and beautiful. And bold, bright and beautiful is what we're all about at Kettlewell, so I've put together your essential S/S '19 wardrobe update guide; five laid back pieces for an instant wardrobe update that you'll be able to wear now, but which will see you into the warm weather when it finally appears.

To give you maximum inspiration, this blog post has four additional pages, one for each of the seasonal colour palettes. If you've already had a colour analysis and know which shades make you look and feel your best, click the links at the bottom of the page to visit your new season wardrobe update essentials. No idea which colours belong to you? Panic not; you can visit our colour quiz to get started on your colour journey, or simply read on for casual but colourful wardrobe updates which will suit every skintone.

When the weather hots up:

Leona Tunic - perfect for chillier days, keep wearing this with your Lauren trousers or our gorgeous culottes.
Lauren Jersey Trousers - add a Long Vest or a loose tee in tropical shade, with flat sandals to finish the look.
Breton Stripe Boat Neck - pair with relaxed denim shorts or cropped trousers.
Roxy Shirt Jacket - throw this on over a bold coloured dress for casual chic with colour wow.
Long Rio Wrap - play with proportions and layer it over shorts, and carry it as an extra throw-on layer when travelling.
