Summer in the City

Summer appropriate office wear can be one of your wardrobe's biggest challenges in the warmer months. You need something you can layer up against harsh air conditioning, but light enough to let you keep your cool when you have to spend three hours in a sweltering sunlit meeting room, or even (occasionally) when you step out for lunch in the Great British Summer.

The Joanna dress is 2018's office hero. There was a bit of a wait to get it here because we wanted it to be absolutely perfect, but it's finally fully in stock and ready to leap into action as your latest work wardrobe superhero and it's getting 5 star reviews across the board! The perfect desk to dinner dress.

The great thing about a versatile dress like Joanna is that it will see you through the warmer summer months but layer up easily as the weather begins to turn slightly chillier in September and beyond. I've even experimented with wearing a fine scoop neck top under mine when pairing it with a jacket for cooler weather, and it works rather well.

Even when it's too hot for extra layers, the Joanna dress remains work appropriate with simple accessories. The waist ruching means it flatters every body shape.

Spring: Dutch Blue Joanna Dress, Gold Starburst Necklace , Suede Shoulder Bag in Soleil

Summer: Tropical Teal Joanna Dress, Silver Starburst Necklace, Silver Metallic Leather Clutch

Autumn: True Red Joanna Dress, Gold Starburst Necklace, Metallic Leather Clutch in Mars

Winter: Sapphire Joanna Dress, Silver Starburst Necklace, Light Emerald Suede Shoulder Bag

Add a layer for cooler days - mixing up your colours keeps it modern and fresh.

Temperature dropping? Add a Cashmere Gauze Stole or a long sleeved base layer for extra warmth.

Great seeing how it can be put together with different accessories - always my dilemma.
