New season sneak peek time

The excitement is mounting here at Kettlewell HQ as we eagerly await delivery of the first shipments of spring/summer 2020. There are plenty of new styles that we are ridiculously excited about, and at least as many amazing new colours to add to our library of 300+ beautiful shades.

And of course, it wouldn't be the countdown to the new season without the new season sneak peek! I've snuck my way into the sample wardrobe, played with fabrics, cooed over colours, and picked out some of my absolute favourites from this season to give you a little taste of what's to come.

Gemma Layered Top

If you love our bestselling Lulu Layered Top, then you're going to adore our summer version (and if you haven't tried it, you need to start with Gemma and be ready to fall in love with both!). The Gemma Top was created by taking our favourite things about Lulu - the layering, the gorgeously soft fabric, the forgiving cut, and switching the styling up for summer. This easy to wear, tummy concealing top is guaranteed to boost your body confidence as the weather warms up.

Supersoft Sweatshirt

The fabric of this sweatshirt is simply amazing. Exactly as it says, it's super soft, lightweight but cosy, and it comes in a handful of truly gorgeous laid-back luxe shades. This sweatshirt will carry you effortlessly through a host of spring/summer wardrobe dilemmas. Pair it with your favourite cotton leggings and sneakers for an athleisure look without the scary shiny lycra, or pop it on with boyfriend jeans and your favourite Everyday Tee for a relaxed weekend vibe.

Verona Fitted Cardigan

We've been refining the perfect cardigan for a long time. We knew we wanted it to feel ever so slightly vintagey, definitely a little bit glamorous, stylish and smart enough for work or more formal dressing, and 100% soft and comfortable. We love both the cut and the beautiful cotton cashmere blend knit fabric of this cardigan, and layered over a vest or top it pairs incredibly well with both our Confetti and new improved ruched skirts (oh yes, there's lots more goodness to come beyond this sneak peek!).

Multi Stripe Breton

Our Multi Stripe Bretons were an instant bestseller last year, so you'll need to grab the new season version quickly if you don't want to miss out. The thing I love most about these (apart from the gorgeous quality stretch cotton fabric) is that they not only go with every single colour in your seasonal palette, they also pull together and finish off an outfit like nothing else, thanks to the carefully selected sample of colours from your palette (already combined in the best way for your season to boot).

Confetti Faux Wrap Skirt and Sweetheart Top

OK, this isn't one item but two, but these two go together like peaches and cream. If you read my post from a couple of weeks ago, you'll know how much I love a dress that isn't a dress, and this combo is a great summer option. The faux wrap skirt is pretty and fresh, and pairs perfectly with the prettiness of our new sweetheart neckline top for an all in one look. And, of course, both items will mix and match endlessly with our other pieces, as well as your current wardrobe, thanks to the carefully selected colour combinations for each seasonal palette.

How can I order the extra small dress on page16?

Kettlewell Colours: Please contact and they will assist you with this

Anne on Mar 29, 2020 9:05 AM

Vintage style V-neck cardigan, huh... Not for me. I too, would like more classical timeless pieces. The Milan knit cardigan as a V-neck version would have been much better.

As for people complaining about the price... Budget until you can afford things. I can't find anything of the same quality nor colours in my country so I do pay the extra shipping costs (and now possible tariff after Brexit) from Kettlewell with no guilt. In fact, I hardly buy any tops from anywhere else than Kettlewell since I discovered Kettlewell.

Deborah Harrison on Mar 04, 2020 4:43 PM

I am a vibrant autumn and wondered if the emerald turquoise would have enough depth for me. Would the rosewood and salmon be good choices too for more summery colours?

Kettlewell Colours: Emerald Turquoise sits at the less warm end of the Autumn palette, but has plenty of vibrancy. Pair it with warmer and vibrant colours from your palette to keep it looking Autumnal. Rosewood and Salmon will both work, but you might find the really tropical Autumn colours even better for Summer - Fiesta Orange, Mandarin Orange, Leaf and Lime.

Sarah Yules on Mar 01, 2020 9:32 PM

I would like to see fewer ‘romantic styles’. More classic ones please and more three quarter length sleeves. We can’t all do very short sleeves in T-shirt’s. Love the sweatshirt!

Barbara on Feb 29, 2020 6:07 PM

Quality items will work out cheaper on a cost per wear basis.

Wendy on Feb 24, 2020 4:21 PM

I am hoping for some longer tops/jumpers for Spring. As a larger lady I want thinks that are cut well and skim over my bottom so it's not on show. Most things are just way too short for me. Fingers crossed for the Spring collection. I can't wait!

Julie on Feb 23, 2020 2:04 AM

I'm sure that if you stocked more basics we may get a chance to buy something off you! Im struggling to find warm spring t- shirts and cardis in medium! Are you expecting any in soon?

Kettlewell Colours: We are launching the Spring collection over the next couple of days.

kate on Feb 20, 2020 8:21 PM

when will the new stock be available? I really like the sweatshirts. Hoping for some longer skirts, too?

Kettlewell Colours: Early next week!

Angie on Feb 20, 2020 6:43 PM

Can't really see anything that grabs me at the moment. Will have to wait and see!

Kettlewell Colours: Lot's more to come!

Jeanne Mann on Feb 20, 2020 12:01 PM

Lovely colours and styles but I agree with Maria Cauldwell that your clothes are too expensive, especially for simple items. Clever colouring or not, clothes are not art - they become bitty, snagged, stained and worn out...... However, I will probably purchase one item to wear occasionally for best!

Sue on Feb 18, 2020 7:16 PM

Sorry, can't see anything there I will be ordering, really don't like the ruched skirt and I don't like the frill or the material of the confetti. Need a new skirt but not these.

Ruth on Feb 18, 2020 5:47 PM

Great to see some more soft/neutral colours in with the brights - I love bright colours but need to balance them before I end up with a wardrobe sponsored by Quality Street!

Marie Cauldwell on Feb 18, 2020 9:47 AM

Looks nice - I hope the price points are affordable this time. Although nice quality, I still feel items are often ridiculously priced for what they are and simply unaffordable. You never do discount codes and the sale is normally.....lacking. I do love your clothes.

Ellen Peters on Feb 18, 2020 8:33 AM

I can’t wait!! Love the look of the Gemma and also the sweatshirt. Woop woop 🤓

Suejoy on Feb 17, 2020 8:13 PM

Like sweatshirt - autumn colours look a bit limited oh to see some purples and teal aqua colours. Often bright autumn colours are a bit hit and miss sadly. With grey hair now can’t get away with paler colours. So end up going into mid tones in other seasons.

Gill Graham on Feb 17, 2020 4:20 PM

Nice colours, and like the look of the Verona cardigan especially as it’s v neck. Need more v necks in the collection as some of us who are bigger busted find the v more flattering. Looking forward to the new range.

Jacqueline on Feb 17, 2020 1:55 PM

Cardi looks good, & possibly sweatshirt.

Never yet found a Kettlewell skirt to suit - always too 'Romantic' in style. Looking for longer & more fitted tops.

Amanda Richardson on Feb 17, 2020 12:40 PM

I can't wait to see it! Love the Verona cardigan, Ruched pencil skirt and Confetti skirt and top for me :-D

Frances on Feb 17, 2020 12:27 PM

The skirt and top look lovely! I hope there’s more wrap styles, both tops and dresses this season

Christine on Feb 17, 2020 12:22 PM

Love your tops & colours. Could you do some with higher necklines for older ladies to cover scraggy necks. Thank you.

Olwen on Feb 17, 2020 9:17 AM

Will there be any new colours coming in for camisoles, lace camisoles, and vests?

Kettlewell Colours: Yes we will restock our basics

Gillian Glanville on Feb 17, 2020 8:06 AM

Will you be getting new colours in for the Silky Scoop Neck top (style 20003) or restocking on existing colours?

Kettlewell Colours: Yes there will be some new colours!

Jayne smith on Feb 17, 2020 12:35 AM

Like this look at summer stuff. Is there please going to be a multi stripe in lower neck ?. Have been asking for ages. I love the sweetheart neck top and the Gemma top looks interesting

Jacqui Woods on Feb 16, 2020 6:36 PM

i want that sweat shirt now !

Deborah Bowers on Feb 16, 2020 3:52 PM

I can’t wait for the new autumn colours and styles. Hoping for some lovely vibrant pops of colour. When does the new season arrive?

Kettlewell Colours: End of February!

Veronica on Feb 16, 2020 1:27 PM

Please email when multi stripe Breton in stock. I missed out last Summer. Thanks

Susan Camm on Feb 16, 2020 10:37 AM

some better designs for me, hopefully fit petite as well.

Avril Hardnman on Feb 16, 2020 9:17 AM

Delighted to know a Summer version of the Lulu top is on its way. The winter version is my all time favourite.

Hilary Henry on Feb 16, 2020 8:49 AM

Disappointed no turquoise or teal for Autumns...these are my most flattering (and favourite) colours but seem to be falling out of favour in recent collections.

Olwen on Feb 16, 2020 7:44 AM

Good and Bad News from my point of view. Most of the colours won't work for me, and I think the ruched skirts are highly unattractive. Verona Cardigan and Confetti Suite are very pretty shapes and, colours apart, I can see myself ordering those.

Heidi on Feb 15, 2020 10:40 PM

Hurry up please can’t wait to cheer myself up with all the gloom of winter, bring on some colour.

Chris Polden on Feb 15, 2020 5:48 PM

Cannot wait for the new styles.

Janice Pevalin on Feb 15, 2020 4:58 PM

Lovely clothes and colours

Anne Smith on Feb 15, 2020 3:35 PM

Kristina on Feb 15, 2020 3:10 PM

Hello! So many lovely new colours. When you post them, it would be helpful if you noted which season they reflect.

Mima Craig on Feb 15, 2020 3:09 PM

Definitely tempted!

Jennifer Malec on Feb 15, 2020 11:42 AM

So looking forward to Spring!

Lesley on Feb 15, 2020 11:40 AM

so disappointed with the new layered top, sleeves too short, people with the need ro hide the midriff nulge often also need to hide upper arms, this would have been perfect with 3/4 length sleeves

Liz Mazura on Feb 15, 2020 11:19 AM

To paraphrase Freddie Mercury... "I want it all and I want it now:

Ann on Feb 15, 2020 11:00 AM

Do hope most of the tops will fit. My clothing personality (House of Colour) doesn't like baggy tops! I also love 100% cotton!!

Debbie on Feb 15, 2020 10:34 AM

At last a sweatshirt in good colours. Can't wait

Judith on Feb 15, 2020 10:32 AM

Pretty for tall slim women but I do hope you're catering for other body shapes! We pears often struggle with fitted looks....

Elaine Webb on Feb 15, 2020 9:35 AM

Brilliant, love them all! Really looking forward to you launching this lot very soon - hurry up p,ease!!!

Marion on Feb 15, 2020 9:13 AM

Beautiful colours

Lucy on Feb 15, 2020 9:03 AM

Like the sweatshirt fit and design especially. Hope that you do a crew neck cardigan at some point in the future as the v neck one looks fantastic.

Carol Shea on Feb 15, 2020 8:50 AM

Oh finally. Something neat and fitted by way of Verona fitted cardigan. But only one interesting winter colour.

Sue Lyon on Feb 15, 2020 8:41 AM

Very exciting!

Marie Briddon on Feb 15, 2020 8:26 AM

Thank you for preview - can,t wait to see full range and start

Michelle on Feb 14, 2020 4:35 PM

Thank you for bringing back the ruched skirt. Can't wait to buy one. Love the Verona cardigan and sweatshirt. Hope there's lots of lovely new summer colours. From this sneak peak, I've got to say the new season is looking good.

Deborah Bowers on Feb 14, 2020 12:32 PM

Gorgeous, I cant wait 😀
